Danny Von Kinsey
Danny Von Kinsey, 59, of Lamar died Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at his home.
He was a native of Riverside, Calif., graduate of Paris (California) High School, carpenter and son of Levon Kinsey.
Survivors include one daughter, Hannah Kinsey of Kansas City, Mo.; four sons, Dean Kinsey of Gosnell, Von Kinsey and Jesse Kinsey and wife, Tobi, all of Lamar, and Sam Kinsey of Clarksville; mother, Zea Kinsey of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Paula Wienberg of Houston, Texas, and Larry Kinsey of Hawaii; nine grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Sue Kinsey of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Elder Bruce Flanders officiating. Burial was at Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dean Kinsey, Von Kinsey, Jesse Kinsey, Sam Kinsey, R. L. Speaks and Eric Hurst.
Edra Dobbs
Edra Dobbs, 92, of Clarksville died Friday, June 30, 2006, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was a native of Silex, daughter of the late Forbin and Lena Dale Karstetter, widow of Carl Dobbs, member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, former cook at Michie School for 19 years, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Don Karstetter; two sisters, Willa Fay Williams and Nelda Lee Williams; and a son-in-law, George Shoeffler.
Survivors are two daughters, Linda Ogiela of McAlester, Okla., and Mary Shoeffler of Hartman; one sister, Dala Peeples of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Dee Ann Patton and husband, Dee, of Clarksville and Mark Ogiela and wife, Penny, of Fayetteville; and two great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Kassadi Patton of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, July 3, at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Bass and Rev. Rodger Stewart officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Dale Ashlock, Ronnie Ashlock, Wendell Lee, Billy Don Karstetter, Vaughnon Freeman, and Norman Fortney.
Edith A. Gregory
Edith A. Gregory, 91, of Clarksville died Monday, July 3, 2006, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was a daughter of the late James and Margaret McMurtrey Douglas, widow of Ed Zeller and Harry Gregory, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Lola McDonald; one son, Skip Zeller; one granddaughter, Lorie Halsey; and two grandsons, Jeff Zeller and Steven Zeller.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Finch of Oregon and Mona Roger of Knoxville; two sons, Ernie Zeller of Montana and Jim Zeller of Illinois; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated at Crestlawn Crematory in Conway.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Irene M. Allen
Irene M. Allen, 90, of Kansas City, Mo., died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at her home.
She was a resident of Clarksville from 1967-1989, widow of Von B. Allen, daughter of the late Leonard and Callie Lawson Warren, and a former resident of Sun City Center, Fla.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Thursday, July 6, at Hardwicke Funeral Home followed immediately by graveside services and burial at Harmony cemetery with Rev. Burley King officiating
John F. Drittler
John Fredrick Drittler, 89, of Lamar died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a native of Lutherville, son of the late Valentine John Leon and Bertha Schlafke Drittler, member of Grace Lutheran Church in Clarksville, retired roofer, and was preceded in death by his wife, Izola Callahan Drittler; one brother, Herman Drittler; and three sisters, Martha Hutchin, Matha Lusskey and Adelia Wehauser.
He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Barfield of Lamar; one sister, Louise Jackson of Lamar; one brother, Otto Drittler of Florida; four grandchildren, Donita Perren of Clarksville, Debra Uhde of Lamar, Denise Collins of Altus, and John Barfield of Rogers; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, at St. Paul Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Herb Swanson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.
Lyndel Gregory Cox
Lyndel Gregory (Greg) Cox, 37, of Caulksville, AR., went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 26, 2006, at Sevierville, Tenn. He was born November 14, 1968, in Clarksville to Lyndel and Jean Gregory Cox. His father passed away when he was six months old and at the age of five, God blessed him with a new father and four sisters. Greg graduated from County Line High School in 1987, and was a farmer and employee of the Harry G. Barr Co., in Fort Smith. Greg loved life and enjoyed hunting and working on the farm. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Razorbacks, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He touched many lives with his warm smile and caring spirit. Some of his most favorite times were on family vacation trips with his buddies and attending Razorback games with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyndel Cox, paternal grandparents, Caldwell and Edra Cox, maternal grandfather, Ezekiel Gregory, and other grandparents, Horace and Hattie Core and Ray and Helen Lowery.
He is survived by his parents, Dan and Jean Core of Caulksville, four sisters, Sharon Core of Ratcliff, Mary Brotherton and husband, Monte, of Charleston, Danise Core of Charleston and Allison Lowrey and husband, Marty, of Cecil, six nieces, Leilani Walker and husband, Preston, Kiele Woodruff and husband, Danny, Macie, Mollie and Meredith Brotherton, and Randa Robertson, one nephew, Wyatt Lowrey, two great-nieces, Oliana and Keonna Woodruff, and one great-nephew, Zachary Walker. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Gayle Gregory of Clarksville, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Services were held Saturday, July 1, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Paris First Baptist Church with burial at the Caulksville cemetery in Caulksville under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston. Officiating at the funeral service was Rev. J. W. Glidewell and Rev. Bill VanMeter.
Pallbearers were Ryan Casalman, Brian Gattis, Tommy Watson, Todd Hewett, Brad Pearson, Eric and Jamie Gregory, and Jeremy Schalski.
Honorary pallbearers were Geoffrey Gregory, Mark and Matt Yates, Anthony Aco, Steven Weir, Chandra Brotherton, Anita Boyd, Valarie Gregory, Tiffany Jordan, Brent, Taylor and Shawn Gattis, Devin Robberson, Susan Hibbs, Haskell and Martha Casalman, Jeff Biggs, Jonathan Gibson, Doc Sadler, Louis Whorton, Shawn Price, Gus Biggs, Joe and William Burton, Bill Culver, Mac Skeets, Dustin Holzman, Rodney Best and employees of the Harry G. Barr Co., and still many more of his friends.
Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
Millard Harvison
Millard Harvison, 89, of Conway, formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, June 30, 2006.
He was a native of Marble, son of the late Jeff and Frances Haley Harvison, employee of the Civilian Conservation Corps for several years in the 1930s, retired employee of Ashland Chemical in Louisiana, deacon in the Baptist Church, former resident of Batson Mountain where he operated a farm and Harvison's Grocery, and was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Eva Mae Webb Harvison.
He is survived by six children and spouses, Mary and Stan Clinesmith of Conway, Larry and Rhonda Harvison of Griffin, Calif., Jerry and Linda Harvison of Kalkaska, Mich., Robert and Haruko Harvison and Randy and Melanie Harvison, all of New Iberia, La., and Mike and Vicky Harvison of Russellville; two sisters, Edna Acuff and Evaleen Fritts, both of Sprindale; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Rev. Jim Lenderman officiating. Burial followed at 3 p.m. in Lower Camp cemetery at Kingston.
Minerva E. Mooney
Minerva Elizabeth Mooney, 90, of Clarksville died Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, widow of James H. Mooney, daughter of the late Wilson Moses and Rachel Holland Wages, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Cowan; two sons, Wendell Cowan and Jimmy Cowan; five brothers, Britt Wages, Albert Wages, John Wages, Charlie Wages, and Spence Wages; and one sister, Mary Lyons.
Survivors are one son, Lawrence Mooney and wife, Anita, of Knoxville; three grandchildren, James W. Mooney and wife, Amanda, of Clarksville, Annetta Mooney of London, and Ladonna Maul and husband, David, of Springdale; and one great-grandchild, Cassandra Elizabeth Maul.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with burial in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Everett Turner, Jeff Hunter, Dean Holman, Roger Ost, Calvin Warren, and Don Langson.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
