Dana Marie Hudson

Dana Marie Hudson, 50, of London died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at her home.
She was a native of Fort Smith and preceded in death by her mother, Gayle Turner Watson.
Survivors include her husband, David Hudson; two daughters, Rachael Shepard of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Damara Miller of Texas; one son, Mike Carson of London; father, Charles Watson of Mountainburg; and two grandchildren, Brandon Baxter and Dillion Baxter.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

George Lee Stair Jr.

George Lee Stair Jr., 64, of Rogers died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at his home.
A native of Springfield, Mo., he was a son of the late Lee and Kathryn Looney Stair, 1959 graduate of Rogers High School, attended the University of the Ozarks from 1959-1963 prior to attending New Mexico Highlands University in 1963-1964 where he received a master's degree in history.
He began his teaching career at Lamar High School in Lamar, Mo., in 1964, and later moved to Clarksville where he taught from 1966-1970 before returning to the Rogers School System where he taught for 33 years prior to retiring in 2003 with "Teacher of the Year" honors.
Survivors are one sister, Nancy Siversen and husband, John; one brother, Joe Stair and wife, Phyllis; two nephews, Luke Siversen and Thomas Stair; one niece, Heide Stair; and one great-niece, Rain Lily Siversen.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 12, at the Presbyterian Church in Rogers with Rev. Darwin Wolfe officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Service.
Memorials may be made to the Jones Learning Center at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville.

Hartsell L. Sexton

Hartsell L. Sexton, 62, of New Blaine died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Charlie Clark and Rosie Burdine Sexton, Baptist, employee of Whitson-Morgan Motor Company for several years, and was preceded in death by one son, Andy Sexton; and two brothers, Oliver and Johnny Sexton.
Survivors include one daughter, Shelia Terry of Dublin; two sons, Jamie Sexton of New Blaine and Timmy Sexton of Clarksville; three brothers, Charles Henry Sexton of Texas, Joe Sexton of Altus, and Lefty Sexton of Michigan; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A private memorial service was held.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Joseph E. Farmer

Joseph Evan Farmer, six-year-old son of Donavan and Rachel Farmer of Clarksville, died Sunday, June 10, 2006, at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
He was a student at Lamar School.
Other survivors include his grandparents, Willie and Lori Johnson of Russellville and Audrey and Butch Farmer of Oark; one brother, Conneth Farmer of Clarksville; and two sisters, Alanis Farmer and Trinity Farmer, both of Clarksville.
Private graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Oark cemetery with Rev. Tim Vanderford officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

J. Melvin Pelts

J. Melvin Pelts, 75, of Wellington, Colo., formerly of Johnson County, died June 1, 2006, in a Denver, Colo., hospital.
He was born at Mt. Levi to Royal I. and Laura Hyder Pelts and was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Clarence and Clyde (Pete) Pelts, and one sister, Dorothy Pelts.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Lara Pelts of Lamar; three daughters and one son-in-law, Melinda Pelts of Lamar, Aleta and Wendall Woodard of Clarksville and Tammy of Denver, Colo.; one brother and sister-in-law, Arlis and Jewell Pelts of Hunt; two sisters, Dovie Tuck of Hunt and Lucy Apodaca of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one other sister-in-law, Mary Pelts of Lamar; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Oak Creek, Colo., on Saturday, June 24. The body was cremated.

J. B. Wilburn

J. B. Wilburn, 85, of Knoxville died Monday, June 12, 2006, at Peach Tree Hospice of Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
A native of Kennday, Ala., he was a son of the late Willy and Ellie Wilson Wilburn, member of Pencil Bluff Baptist Church, Mason, recipient of the Army Commendation Medal and retired Master Sergeant of 22 years. He was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Wilburn; one daughter, Charlotte Light; and one daughter-in-law, Bobbie Wilburn.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Ola Elizabeth Wilburn; two sons, Harold Wilburn of Fort Smith and Gregory Wilburn and spouse, Becky, of Knoxville; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral and burial will be Friday, June 16, in Reform, Ala.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Stacy J. Carey

Stacy Jeanene Carey, 43, of Ozone died Friday, June 9, 2006, at her home.
She was a native of Clarksville, member of the Ozone Full Gospel Church, graduate of Lamar High School, Arkansas Tech University at Russellville and Arkansas Valley Vo-Tech School of Nursing, and was a marketing liaison.
Survivors include her parents, Doug and Kathleen Carey of Ozone; grandmother, Viola Carey of Clarksville; five sisters, Tracy Carey of Carmel, Calif., Deanie Crisler of Acworth, Ga., Barbara Blackard and Teresa Hill, both of Clarksville, and Monica Hughes of Ozone; one half-sister, Dawn Ellen McKinley of Tulsa, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, June 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Carey officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Pallbearers were Will Blackard, Lee Blackard, Josh Stumbaugh, Kent Carey, Jeff Selby and Travis Hogrefe.

Virginia T. Lowe

Virginia T. Lowe, 85, of Addison, Texas, died Friday, June 9, 2006, at RHD Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
She was a retired registered nurse, Baptist, daughter of the late George L. and Lillard W. Wilborn Turner, widow of Ruel J. Lowe, and was preceded in death by one son, James Steven Lowe of Addison, Texas.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Lee of Newport News, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, at the Coal Hill cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
