Brenda Sue Ainslie

Brenda Sue Ainslie, 46, of Ozone died Sunday, March 6, 2005, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was a native of Tulare, Calif.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Ainslie of California; one daughter, Chyrel Bartlett of California; five sisters; four brothers;and four grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Beatrice Clayborn

Mildred Beatrice Clayborn, 82, of Lamar died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late William Martin and Mary Eliza Nordin Felkins, widow of Herman R. Clayborn, Baptist, and was preceded in death by three sisters, Ella Hook, Bessie Rhodes and Frances Rogers;and three brothers, Aaron Felkins, John Felkins, and Jack Felkins.
She is survived by one brother, Lee Felkins of Lodi, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Eula Bridges of Clarksville; nieces and nephews, Tanya Berg, Gailya Evans, Janell Borel, Cecil Rhodes, Rose Mary Woolery, Bill Rhodes, Charlotte Felkins, Mary York, and many other loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Woodland cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Travis Fetters, Lance Fetters, Larry Clayborn,Todd Russell, Bob DeWinter, and Michael Berg.
Honorary pallbearers were Art Borel, Tom York, Cecil Rhodes Jr., Gene Evans, Terry DeWinter, and Kin Woolery.

Bertha A. Scott

Bertha Asche Scott, 87, of Clarksville died Saturday, March 12, 2005,at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Edward and Bertha Kuhlman Asche, widow of Verlin Thomas Bierbrodt and Samuel Scott, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Gail Bierbrodt.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Asche Bierbrodt and companion,Daniel Gawat, both of Chicago, Ill., and David Bierbrodt and wife,Dolores, of Arma, Kan.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Bobbie Lee Warren

Bobbie Lee Warren, 81, of Ozone died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a World War II veteran and the recipient of the Bronze Star for India-Burma Campaign, the second Bronze Star for Central Burma Campaign, the third Bronze Star for China Defensive, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal, and the two Oak Leaf Clusters, a 32nddegree Mason, retired from BSA, and owner of Warren Muzzleloading Company. He was a son of the late Roy and Sarah Catherine Bailey Warren, and was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Inez Warren, and one son, Michael Lee Warren.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Susanne Warren Bicio of Ozone;and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrew.
Graveside services and burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the Russell cemetery at Ozone with Rev. Bob Herrod officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Chestene H. George

Chestene Harley George, 81, of Clarksville died Sunday, March 13, 2005,at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
A native of Ola, he was a son of the late Harvey and Leeottia Mize George, member of Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church, Air Force veteran of World War II, and was preceded in death by one son, Carrol Ray George.
Survivors include his wife, Mary George; two stepdaughters, Doris Rich of Hagarville and Sheila Poe of North Little Rock; two sisters,Christene Fisher and Margaret Wylie, both of Clarksville; one brother,Harvey Gene George of Alma; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 17, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Troy Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m.in Union Hill cemetery at Ingalls.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Young, Floyd Rich, Mike Whitkanack, Lawrence Richards, Charles Roberts, and Fred Cowell.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Jackie L. Roberts

Jackie Lale Roberts, 69, of Clarksville died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was a son of the late Olney B. and Marie Jones Roberts, 1953graduate of Clarksville High School, member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, manager of Cargill Feed Mills for several years and was retired from Cargill as a turkey specialist. He was preceded in death by one sister, Virgie Skidgel.
Survivors include his wife, Jurine Hays Roberts; one daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Steve Castleberry of Lake Charles, La.; one son and daughter-in-law, Lale and Joan Roberts of Watton, Mich.; and six grandchildren, Milah Phillips and Megan Castleberry, both of Lake Charles, La., and Elsa Roberts, Aaron Roberts, Kristie Roberts, and Laura Roberts, all of Watton, Mich.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Bass, Rev. Billy Usery and Dr. Robert Brown officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were James Jaggers, Jack Cecil, Mark Simpson, Johnny Chrisman, James Robert Laster, David Handley, Jimmy Gould, and Wendell Lee.

Kenneth R. Carter

Kenneth Roderick Carter, 60, of Clarksville died Friday, March 11,2005, at his home.
He was retired from the U. S. Navy and during his service he received the Fifth Good Conduct Award, Navy Achievement Medal, Battle "E" Ribbon with Star, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a son of the late Riley and Lily Sampley Carter, and was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Brinagor; and four brothers, Mike, Gene, Don and Harold Carter.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Carter; one daughter, Sandra Kremers and husband, Paul, of Clarksville; one son, Kenneth J. Carter and wife,Sherry, of Clarksville; one sister, Helen Burch of Clarksville; one brother, Wayne Carter of Clarksville; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, March 14, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Houston cemetery at Alix.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Arkansas Heart Hospital.

Louise Lewis

Catherine Louise Lewis, 90, of Clarksville died Sunday, March 13, 2005,at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was a daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Eva Underwood Newton,Baptist, and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Elmer Lewis; and one brother, Lee Newton.
Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Faye Lewis of Clarksville; one sister, Avo Hinson of Clarksville; two grandchildren,Lisa Hampton and husband, James, of Coal Hill and Kent Lewis and wife,Yvonne, of Hartman; two step grandchildren, Alan Pratt of Cabot and Linda Dickerson and husband, Gary, of Gurdon; and one great-grandchild,Whitney Lewis.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Stillwell Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman and Steve Askins officiating.
Burial will be in Stillwell cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Dayne Phillips, Bruce Phillips, Bobby Dayne Phillips, John Askins, Wendell Lee and Bob Bean.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Jack Sexton, Don Cater, Bob Hurley, Dale Meek, Bobby Hurley, and Dale Meek.
