Marjorie L. Guiling
Marjorie Lois Kerr Guiling, 73, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Earl Irven and Pauline Ester Shue Kerr, member of the Clarksville Christian Church, employee of Cox Berry Farm for 15-plus years, and was involved with Boy and Girl Scouts and Boys and Girls Club.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Guiling; two daughters, Marlena Fitts of Clarksville and Christina Baker of Fort Smith; one son, David Guiling of Garland, Texas; two sisters, Paula Stout of Owasso, Okla., and Sue Hale of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Don Kerr of Owasso, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Matt Thomason officiating. Burial was in Stillwell cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Johnny Fitts, John Fitts, Lance Fitts, Jim Hale, Don Kerr, and Kelly Gates.
Honorary pallbearers were Rick Holt and Mark Kerr.
Pauline Hodges
Pauline Hodges, 84, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at the Carnegie Nursing Home in Carnegie, Okla.
She was a native of the Bethlehem Community in Johnson County, daughter of the late Harlan and Ola Parker Blackard, widow of L. H. (Dick) Hodges, graduate of Hartman High School, member of the Oney Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for 19 years, was a counselor at the Farmers Union Youth Camp for several years and a cook at Falls Creek for many years.
Survivors include one son, Ronnie Hodges and wife, Terri, of Ft. Cobb, Okla.; one granddaughter, Whitney Kay Hodges of Ft. Cobb, Okla.; one brother-in-law, Raymond Hodges and wife, Rubye, of Wellington, Texas; twin brother, Paul Blackard and wife, Lillian, of Clarksville; one aunt, Rena Hardgrave of Clarksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Oney Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Wright and Rev. Kurt Bloomstadt officiating.
Burial was in Ft. Cobb cemetery in Ft. Cobb, Okla., under the direction of Turner Funeral Home of Binger, Okla.
Sylvia M. Coogan
Sylvia M. Coogan, 90, of Lamar died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a daughter of the late James A. and Cordeila Rowton Howard, widow of Willie C. Coogan, and of the Assembly of God faith.
She was preceded in death by one son, Odell Coogan; two sisters, Goldie Davis and Vida Lott; and one brother, William Howard.
Survivors include one daughter, Rosey B. Lewis of Clarksville; two sons, James E. Coogan of Mena and John A. Coogan of Clarksville; one sister, Opal Davis of Whiteberg, Texas; one sister-in-law, Pearl Coogan of Mena; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Beasley-Wood Chapel in Mena with Tim Rose officiating. Burial was in Hilton cemetery at Board Camp.
Pallbearers were Dennis Dibeck, Gary Davis, Kenneth Cossey, Harold Coogan, Samuel Bass, and Johnny Bass.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
John A. Russell
John A. Russell, 69, of Stilwell, Okla., died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, in Tulsa, Okla.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late John Henry and Jessie May Perry Russell, retired from George's Poultry after 38 years as a field supervisor, attended the Lighthouse Church, member of the Fayetteville Elks and Springdale Moose Lodges, and attended the Stilwell baseball games where he was honored with the "Fan of the Year" award.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Russell; five daughters, Susan Pickle of Clarksville, Heather Russell of Olathe, Kan., Karen McGinnis and husband, Richard, and Connie Mackay and husband, Eric, all of Springdale, and Shawna Clark of Stilwell, Okla.; one son, Bill Hill of Norman, Okla.; two brothers, Doy Russell of Clarksville and Jack Russell of John Day, Ore.; one sister, Reba Whiles of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastors Aaron Barton and James White officiating. A family interment service was held at the Stilwell City cemetery.
Active pallbearers were members of the Stilwell baseball team, Ethan Clark, Nathan Cook, Kyle Decker, Travis Gaches, Cole Hill, Matt Mattox, Bryson Paden and Matt Putnam.
Honorary pallbearers were Les Childers, Bill Goodwin, Gary Harrell, Chris Holtgrewe, Gene Kindy, Ray Matheson, Dennis Maze, Guy Wallace, Dave Wyman, and Senator Jim Wilson.

Argie D. Kendall
Argie Dake Kendall, 86, of Clarksville died Friday, April 29, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of the Harmony Community, he was a son of the late Dwight and Orda Dake Kendall, graduate of Clarksville High School, member of the Hays Chapel Methodist Church and the Clarksville Senior Citizens, World War II Army Air Corps veteran, retired Arkansas State Police radio operator at Clarksville, and was preceded in death by his wife, Charlcie Harris Kendall; and one sister, Artie Elkins.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Kendall of Tulsa, Okla., Steve Kendall of Dover, and David Kendall of Clarksville; one brother, Orlie Kendall of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren, Stephanie Kendall of Russellville and Shelly Zicker and Michael Kendall, both of Tulsa, Okla.; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, May 2, at Oakland cemetery with Burley King officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Claudia Hewgley
Claudia Hewgley, 76, died April 19, 2005, in Dallas, Texas.
She was a native of the Montana Community in Johnson County, daughter of the late Juel and Carrie Qualls, and was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Qualls.
Survivors include her husband, William Hewgley; one son, Charles Hewgley; two stepsons, Richard Hewgley and wife, Judy, and William Hewgley Jr. and wife, Edie; three stepdaughters, Virginia Har-
dy and husband, William, Carolyn Hewgley and Rama Hewgley; and 21 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, at Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Restland Funeral Home.
Charline Wofford
Charline Wofford, 78, of Hartman died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Ozark.
She was a native of Hartman, daughter of the late Charley and Tennie Smith Yates, Methodist, and retired Singer Company employee.
Survivors include her husband, Cletus Wofford; one daughter, Teresa Paxton of Wayne, Neb.; two sons, Gerald Wofford of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Robert Wofford of Ozark; two sisters, Florine Stabler and Marie Crawford, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three brothers, Loyd Yates of Hartman, Dwight Yates of Oregon, and Doyle Yates of Sperry, Okla.; and one grandson, Roger Paxton of Fort Collins, Colo.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. John Brasseaux officiating. Burial was in Highland cemetery at Ozark.
