William Denniston
William Edward Denniston, 80, of Alix died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Countryside Estates Nuring Home in Warner, Okla.
He was a son of the late Clyde Mae Haley and Suel Moody Denniston, retired teacher and coach at Oark, Havana, Altus, County Line and Mountainburg schools, veteran of the U. S. Navy and Army, and was preceded in death by one son, Mike Denniston.
Survivors include his wife, Marcet Schurg Denniston; two daughters, Lexia Collier of Springdale and Nellie Knight of Hagarville; three sisters, Charlene Anglen of Spiro, Okla., Mary Berry of McLean, Va., and Vera Lee Brent of Big Spring, Texas; one brother, Moody (Perk) Denniston of Tucson, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lance Jones officiating. Burial was in Oark cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Gentry Collier, Justin Collier, Joseph Rofkahr, Patrick Knight, Albert McCormick, and Tommy Helmert.
The honorary pallbearer was Mark Young.
Alta P. Ramsey
Alta Pearilee Crosby Ramsey, 89, whose daughter and son-in-law, Velma Lois and Earl H. Sutton reside at Coal Hill, died Thursday, May 5, 2005.
She was a native of Heber Springs, daughter of the late Darris and Eva Ferguson Crosby, spent most of her life in White County where she was employed as a dietary assistant in Searcy Public Schools for several years, the Oakdale Nursing Facility and Leisure Lodge Nursing Facility, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Bald Knob. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Clarence Monroe Ramsey; and two infant daughters, Violet Christene and Bertha Louise Ramsey.
Other survivors include three grandchildren, Theresa Wilds of Winston-Salem, N. C., Charlotte Sutton and Orval Sutton and wife, Rhonda, all of Beebe; six great-grandchildren, Joshua Wilds of Atlanta, Ga., Jason Wilds of Winston-Salem, N. C., Amanda Hayes and husband, Dale, of East Bend, N. C., Brandon Gregory and wife, Xanadu, Teigan Delong and husband, Tom, and Gregory Sutton of Beebe; two great-great-grandchildren, Mary and Brandy Gregory of Beebe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Searcy-McEuen Chapel with interment at Fosters Chapel cemetery.
Billy J. Jones
Billy J. (Jonesy) Jones, 69, of Sacramento, Calif., died April 11, 2005.
He was a native of Hackett, attended the University of the Ozarks, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Thresa Duty Jones of Clarksville in 1976.
Jones retired in 1996 as the Sacramento Kings trainer after being with the franchise for 23 years coming from Kansas City when the team was originally brought to Sacramento. Prior to being with the Kings he had been a trainer for 15 years in professional baseball including the A's and Royals' teams and a co-owner of a sports rehab clinic in Kansas City. He was inducted into the Missouri Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 1984 and was voted by his peers as the NBA Athletic Trainer of the Year in 1995.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Joyce Jones; three daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Steve Kuns of Roseville, Calif., Connie and Loren Laipple of Wathena, Kan., and Jennifer and Jason Beauchamp of Antelope, Calif.; one son, Justin Jones of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Jim Jones; one sister, Dorothy Gilman; six grandchildren, Chelse, Mackenzie, Taylor, Bryce, Kelsi and Zakary; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, April 18, at East Lawn Mortuary in Sacramento, Calif. Entombment was private at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital.
Frank D. Glasscock
Frank D. Glasscock, 67, of Clarksville died Friday, May 6, 2005, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
He was a native of Amarillo, Texas, son of the late Earl and Iva Conger Glasscock, member of Mount Vernon Community Church, Army veteran of the Vietnam War, also served in the U. S. Navy, and was retired from the Arkansas National Guard having served with the Ozark and Clarksville units.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Hylton Glasscock; five sisters, Dorothy Akins and Janice Burns, both of Amarillo, Texas, Betty Brown of Washington, Rita Born of Knoxville, and Neda Glasscock of Colorado; and five brothers, Claude Glasscock of Lawton, Okla., Garland Glasscock of Amarillo, Texas, Michael Hylton of Fort Smith, Jerry Hylton of Clarksville, and Burley Glasscock of Montana.
Funeral was at 9 a.m. Monday, May 9, at the Mount Vernon Community Church with Rev. Bill Holt officiating.
Burial was in Mount Vernon cemetery under the dirction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Charles Holt, Junior Coogan, Dusty Holt, Don Hatchett, Harold Marlow, George Rigby, and David Hatchett.
Honorary pallbearers were Clinton Holland, Leon Holt, and Jerry Holt.
Faith W. Lytle
Faith Williamson Lytle, 82, of San Antonio, Texas, died Friday, April 29, 2005.
She was a native of the Maplewood, N. J. area, daughter of the late George Phillip and Muriel Millicent Ray Williamson, graduate of Tusculum College in Greenville, Tenn., and attended Princeton Seminary.
She and her husband, William P. Lytle, were former national missionaries in the Reserve and Corona, N. M., ranching communities and later spent another 11 years in rural mission church work in the mountain area around the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, where they were employed.
She was instrumental in organizing the San Antonio Habitat for Humanity which became the first affiliate of what is now a world wide housing project in cooperation with low-income working families. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Ray Williamson.
Other than her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and Brian Hamilton of Washinton, D. C., and Aimee and Roy Hearn of Groveton, Texas; two sons, David and Paul Lytle and two daughters-in-law, Diep Nguyen Lytle and Jane Bierman-Lytle; grandchildren, Nathan, Tim, Jae and Ben Lytle, Linden, Oliver and Sebastian Bierman-Lytle of Denver, Colo.; Roman Hamilton of Washington, D. C.; one step-grandson, Erik Hamilton of Washington, D. C.; sisters-in-law, Shirley Williamson of Mantoloking, N. J., and Gloria Williamson of North Port, Fla.; one brother-in-law, Byron Hurlbut of Pittsburgh, Pa.; niece and spouse, Marjorie and Jim Dwyer of Boston, Mass.; and two great-nephews, Jonathan and Jason Dwyer of Boston, Mass.
A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Madison Square Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, Texas. A family graveside service was held Tuesday, May 3, at Chautauqua, N. Y.

Genevieve Harris
Genevieve J. Harris, 86, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury, Mo.
A native of the Hickeytown Community in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Erron and Margaret Hickey Jones, 1937 graduate of Lamar High School, widow of Rev. Verlie F. Harris, former Greenwood bank employee prior to moving to Keytesville, Mo., where she resided for several years and was a member of the Keytesville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's Group, the Help One-Another Club, and the Greenwood Garden Club. She was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Eloise Jones.
She is survived by one brother, Joe Jones of Keytesville, Mo.; one sister, Cana Lou Bonds and husband, Henry, of Bourbonnais, Ill.; six nieces; four nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at Keytesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Glenna McVeigh officiating. Burial will be in Keytesville City cemetery under the direction of Summerville Funeral Home of Salisbury, Mo.
Pallbearers will be Tim Bonds, Jim Bonds, Mike Bonds, Joe E. Jones, Jr. Clinton and Josh Jones.
Memorials may be made to the Keytesville United Methodist Church.
Mary Henry
Mary H. Henry, 93, of Harrison died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Harrison Nursing Center.
A native of Denning, she was a daughter of the late Judson and Sarah Jane Cleeton Hollowell, and attended Altus School, the University of the Ozarks and graduate school at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. She was a former director of physical education for women at the University of the Ozarks and a former teacher at Bauxite, Lonoke, Fordyce and Magnolia schools.
She was a charter member and past president of AARP in Magnolia, member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and First Presbyterian Church in Harrison, and was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Coach George M. Henry; and one sister, Leona Gogley.
Survivors are three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Mary Frances Henry of Georgetown, Texas, Mike and Kathy Henry of Altus, and Dick and Pam Henry of Harrison; one sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Rev. Carl Bogard of Willow Street, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at Nichols Chapel cemetery at Altus.
