Ron Kinsworthy
Ronald Joe (Ron) Kinsworthy, 52, of Altus died Monday, May 30, 2005, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Florine Lawrence Kinsworthy, log truck driver, former employee of the Arkansas Highway Department, and was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Kinsworthy.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Pledger Kinsworthy; five daughters, Angela Kinsworthy of Paris, Rhonda Kinsworthy of Altus, and Justice, Hailey and Amy Kinsworthy, all of the home; father, Waldo Kinsworthy of Altus; two sisters, Debra Masingale of Altus and Nancy Cumming of Fort Smith; one brother, Randy Kinsworthy of Alix; two grandsons, Joseph and Jacob Atteberry, both of Altus; mother-in-law, Cora Hall of Altus; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, at the Old Country Church with Rev. J. D. Ellison officiating. Arrangements were under the direction Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Squire J. Clayborn
Squire Junior Clayborn, 80, of Lamar died Friday, June 3, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a timber industry employee, son of the late Squire Stone and Ann Clayborn, and was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Clayborn; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include five daughters, Diane Fox and husband, Richard, of Ozone, Deanna Couch and husband, Mike, of Fayetteville, Rhonda Marlow and husband, John, of Clarksville, Cleta Martin of Russellville and Sue Clayborn and companion, Bobby Roach of Lamar; three sons, Danny Clayborn and wife, Kathy, and Jackie Clayborn, all of Lamar, and Steve Clayborn of Clarksville; one brother, Jimmy Clayborn of Lamar; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David McLemore officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenny Jenkins, Jason Jenkins, Kerry Clayborn, Kelly Fox, James Overby, and Shane Bradley.
Wenola Warren
Wenola Warren, 83, of Clarksville died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Melvil Filmore and Effie Estelle Self Kerwin, widow of LeRoy Warren, graduate of Clarksville High School, and retired U. S. Forest Service employee.
She is survived by one son, Ronald K. Warren and wife, Mary Lou, of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Robert Warren and wife, Sharon, of Hunt and Jason Warren and wife, Pam, of Clarksville; and one great-grandchild, Katie Warren of Clarksville.
Memorial services and burial were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Oakland cemetery with John Ballard officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Alex C. Jeffries
Alex Christopher Jeffries, two and one-half-year-old son of Thomas and Zantana Maxwell Jeffries of Glen Ellen, Ill., died Friday, June 3, 2005, in a drowning accident.
He was born in Clarksville on Dec. 19, 2002.
Other survivors include one brother, Nicholas of the home; maternal grandparents, Johnny and Carol Maxwell of Ozone and Maria Villini of Ozark; and paternal grandparents, Jesse and Sherry Cruz of Chicago, Ill.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Clairden Hills cemetery in Westmont, Ill.
Irvin Oliver Russell
Irvin Oliver Russell, 84, a resident of Washington since 1950, died May 29, 2005.
He was born at Lamar to Oliver and Mattie Russell and was reared with his sister, Lucille. He served three years with the U. S. Army in Europe during World War II, and in 1947 married
Iladean Ashlock of Clarksville who preceded him in death in July 2003 after 56 years of marriage. He was employed by the Metropolitan Park District in Tacoma, Wash., for 32 years.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Douglas Stirret of Roy, Wash., and Tammie and Robert Dayton of University Place, Wash.; four granddaughters, Jennifer Stirret-Jones and husband, Kevin, Jillian Stirret, McKenzie Rust and Amber Dayton; and one great-granddaughter, Sydney Dean Stirret-Jones.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, at Fir Lane Memorial Park in Spanaway, Wash.
Jim McCartney
Jim McCartney, 64, of Ozark, brother of Burl McCartney of Clarksville, died Friday, June 10, 2005, at Ozark.
He was born at Mountain Top to George and Mahala Gossett McCartney and was a farm laborer.
He is survived by four other brothers, Gurvis McCartney, Robert McCartney, Billy McCartney, and Larry McCartney, all of Ozark; and eight nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, June 13, at Oak Grove cemetery with Rev. Garland Williams officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Kenneth Skaggs Jr.
Kenneth Dean Skaggs Jr., 36, of Dardanelle died Sunday, June 12, 2005, in Dardanelle.
A native of Clarksville, he was a grandson of the late Noah McClure, Tony Crowson, Gould Skaggs, and Levi Pitts, and was preceded in death by one sister, Crystal Palmer.
Survivors include his parents, Sylvia and Henry McClure of Dardanelle; one brother, Keith Allen Skaggs of Cary, N. C.; one sister, Margaret Standridge of Ben Hur; grandparents, Louise Crowson of Clarksville, Estellene Skaggs of Hagarville, and Howard and Ocie Chaney of Dardanelle; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Lillian Zimmer
Lillian Zimmer died Friday, June 10, 2005.
She was a former resident of Kenai, Peninsula for many years, widow of George Zimmer, and member of London First Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, George Zimmer of Lamar and Buster Zimmer of Del Rio, Texas; three daughters, Sharon Duranko of Carson City, Nev., and Patty Blair and Tina Close, both of Lamar; two sisters, Lucy McPherson of Buckley, Wash., and Myrtle Powers of Port Angeles, Wash.; two brothers, Raymond Westlund of Brewster, Wash., and John Westlund of Tacoma, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 13, at London First Baptist Church with Danny Green officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Paul E. Tate
Paul E. Tate, 72, of Clarksville died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a used car dealer, son of the late Joseph Alexander and Myrtle Marie Ricketts Tate, and was preceded in death by one brother, Elick Tate.
Survivors are his wife, Beatrice Leding Tate; three daughters and one son-in-law, Shirley Tolar of Clarksville, Brenda Tate of Ozark and Nancy and Edward Hurst of Coal Hill; one son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Carla Tate of Lowell; six sisters, Betty Lou Tate, Goldie Marie Stewart, Dolly Sinor, Lorene Kay Brasfield, and Velma Tate, all of Clarksville, and Ruby Fowler of Ozark; four brothers, Joe Tate of Lamar, Guy Tate and Loyd Tate, both of Ozone, and Joseph Tate of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Boone officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery at Altus.
Pallbearers were Edward Hurst, Jason Freeman, Doug Tate, Guy Tate Jr., Ernie Hern, and John Wood.
