Marshall Mothersbaugh
Marshall J. Mothersbaugh, 77, of Universal, Ind., formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, June 10, 2005, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.
A native of Lincoln, Mo., he was a son of the late Floyd and Roberta Swearingen Mothersbaugh, member of F&AM Lodge No. 687 in West Terre Haute, Ind., Universal Young Men's Club, Blanford Sportsman Club, American Legion Post 0022 in Linton, Ind., former Peabody Coal Company superintendent of Universal and Ozark mines, served in the U. S. Army, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence, Leonard and Roland; and one grandson, Jay Dlugosh.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Nolan Mothersbaugh; one son, Keith Mothersbaugh and wife, Judy, of Newburgh, Ind.; two daughters, Janet Elkins and husband, Kenney, and Marsha Dlugosh and husband, Max, all of Clarksville; former wife and mother of his children, Willene Mothersbaugh of Clarksville; six grandchildren, Jason Mothersbaugh, Amy Greer, Mike Dlugosh, and Renae, Ryan and Randa Elkins; one stepdaughter, Kellie Meyer and husband, Peter, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two stepsons, Gregg Nolan and wife, Bobbi, of Clinton, Ind., and Darren Nolan of Universal, Ind.; four step-grandchildren, Adam and Amy Nolan, Michael Hamilton, and Audrey Meyer; one brother, Willis Mothersbaugh and wife, Dixie, of Lee Summit, Mo.; one sister, Margaret Roe of Windsor, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Joe Hyde of Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Karanovich-Giovanini Funeral Home in Clinton, Ind., followed by burial in Walnut Grove cemetery in Clinton, Ind.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Rev. Michael Weldon
A memorial service for Rev. Michael D. Weldon, 58, of Dayton, Ohio, who died Monday, June 13, 2005, at his home, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Private burial was in Union Grove cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
He was pastor of Agape Assembly of God Deaf Church in Dayton, Ohio, for the past 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Gayla Richardson Weldon; mother, Pat Weldon of Lewiston, Idaho; one sister, Judi Beeson of Lewiston, Idaho; mother-in-law, Wilma Richardson of Clarksville; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Richardson of Missouri.
Opal Duncan
Opal Duncan, 84, of Clarksville died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Oklahoma and daughter of the late Charles and Ida Ellis Duncan.
She is survived by one sister, Ernestine Smith of Clarksville; and one brother, Jimmy Duncan of Mountain View, Mo.
Funeral and burial will be in Arvin, Calif.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Annette E. Ford
Annette E. Ford, 64, of Prairie View, formerly of the Clarksville area, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005.
She was a factory employee, daughter of the late Carl Riley and Annie Lucille Newman Gray, and widow of George Ford.
She is survived by four daughters, Glenda Moody and fiance, Greg Marshall, Roxana Rea and husband, James, and Sabrina Dale, all of Scranton, and Vonda Christensen and husband, Kennard, of Ione; two sons, Jimmy Kendrick and wife, Meredith, of Scranton and Danny Kendrick and wife, Amanda, of Ozone; one sister, Dorotha Hayward of Scranton; two brothers, William Riley Gray and Joe Gray, both of Scranton; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated. Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Beulah C. Revis
Beulah Christian Revis, 94, of Clarksville died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Ozone, daughter of the late Claud and Jessie Smith Christian, widow of Eldon Revis, 1930 graduate of Clarksville High School, employed by Clarksville Light and Water Company for several years, and was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Meyer, Pauline Harris and Hallene Kleiboeker; and one niece, Jessie Harris.
She is survived by five nephews, John Meyer, Charles Meyer, and Duane Meyer, all of Texas, and Morgan Harris and Zearl Harris, both of Oklahoma; and four nieces, Nancy Smith of Texas, Cathy Foreman of West Virginia, and Ann Crowell and Jenness Richardson, both of Colorado.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Horne officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Zearl Harris, John Hull, Cal Shahan, Floyd B. Dickerson, and Henry Walton.
Douglas W. Callahan
Douglas Wayne Callahan, 61, of Ozone died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was a native of Lamar, son of the late James H. Callahan, and a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Smith Callahan; two daughters, Anna Marie Callahan and Cathy Ann Callahan, both of Arizona; one son, Douglas Callahan Jr. of Arizona; three stepsons, Gilbert Callahan of Arizona, Randy Callahan Jr. of Knoxville, and Curtis Callahan of Lamar; mother, Irene Callahan of Lamar; two sisters, Jan Marlow of Clarksville and Elizabeth Smith of Lamar; four brothers, J. D. Callahan of Oark, Bill Callahan of Arizona, Bob Callahan of Ratcliff, and Jeff Callahan of Ozone; and several grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at the Mount Vernon Community Church with Rev. Bill Holt officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Earl Coats Jr.
Earl Coats Jr., 78, of Fort Smith died Saturday, June 25, 2005.
He was a member and elder of the Alma First Presbyterian Church, former basketball player at the University of the Ozarks and former player-coach of the team when the coach was drafted, former teacher at Coal Hill, Mulberry, Rudy and Darby Junior High in Fort Smith, former business manager at Lyon College in Batesville, former principal at Fordyce High School, and former principal at Greenwood and Huntsville where he retired after completing 38 years as an educator. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, Alma City councilman in the 1960s, Boy Scout leader, member of the Alma Masonic Lodge No. 735, coached one of the first Little League basebeall teams in Alma, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Coats; one sister, Earlene Williams; and one brother, William Coats.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Williamson of Elkins and Suanne Morgan of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, John Coats of Fort Smith and Earl Coats III of Huntsville; one sister, Linda Richardson of Clarksville; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Ferguson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Coal Hill. Interment with military honors was at Srygley cemetery in Coal Hill. Arrangements were under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Ellis Young
Ellis Young, 88, of Knoxville died Friday, June 24, 2005, at his home.
A native of Knoxville, he was a son of the late James Andrew and Martha Hughes Young, member of Knoxville First Baptist Church, Army veteran of World War II, and preceded in death by the mother of the children, Dot Young.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Young; 12 daughters, Charlotte Sheppard, Dorothy Higby, Bobbie Branch, Patsy Smith, Mary Browning, Donna Wylie, Billie Garcia, Roberta Mackie, Debbie Klausner, Joni Figueroa, Connie Young, and Kimberely Rinehart; one son, Jim Young; one sister, Juanita Hamzy; one brother, Glen Young; 39 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the Knoxville cemetery with Rev. Ira Taylor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
