John W. Ailstock
John Walker Ailstock, 64, of Clarksville died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Washington, D. C., he was a son of the late Alfred Edward and Melvina Persinger Ailstock, graduate of Covington (Virginia) High School, received a bachelor of arts degree from Triden Tech in Charleston, S. C., retired from the U. S. Navy after 20 years service, veteran of the Vietnam War, and member of the Men's Golf Association at Clarksville Country Club.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Ailstock; four sons, Alfred Ailstock of Laughlin, Nev., Tim Ailstock of Naples, S. C., Mike Ailstock of Spartenburg, S. C., and Bruce Ailstock of Coal Hill; one sister, Cheryl Holland of Clarksville; one brother, David Ailstock of Jacksonville, N. C.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lance Jones officiating. Burial was in Mount Vernon cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Billy Willis, Morgan Howard, Dean Pitts, Don Pitts, Francis Pitts, and Tom Bell.
Honorary pallbearers were Al Davis, Norman Crowden, Les Wade, Darrell Fox, C. J. Thomas, Morris Pearson, and Randy Mooney.
Beulah L. Steuber
Beulah Louise Steuber, 98, of London died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was born near London, daughter of the late Lewis Franklin and Mernena Alice Taylor Tessneer, widow of Ervin Steuber, attended Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church, and was preceded in death by one sister, Nora Pitman, and two brothers, Earl Tessneer and Ezra Tessneer.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Linda Steuber of London; two grandchildren, Susan Moorhouse and husband, Brian, and Jane Ivey and husband, J. D., all of London; seven great-grandchildren, Joseph Smith, Jamie Moorhouse, Samantha Moorhouse, Ashley Ivey, Blake Ivey and Jordan Ivey, all of London, and Brandy Smith of Russellville; and two nieces, Grace White and Kathryn Nordin and husband, Milton, all of London.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Humphrey Chapel with Rev. Lynell Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Augsburg cemetery at London.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville.

Isaac C. Tate
Isaac Clayton Tate, 92, of Oark died Friday, July 29, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a farmer, son of the late Elbert and Nancy Fields Tate, member of the United Baptist Church of Patterson Springs for 37-plus years, recipient of the World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Award, American Theatre Ribbon, AP Theater Ribbon and two Bronze Service Stars, and was preceded in death by his wife, Veneta Tate; one sister; and two brothers.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Fern and Calvin Cowell of Lutherville, and Thelma and Jimmy Carlton and Gladys and Bobby Carlton, all of Clarksville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Phillip Tate of Batson and Ruble and Faye Tate of Hagarville; one brother, Elmer Tate of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove cemetery at the Muddy Gap Community near Pettigrew with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
James E. Bourland
James Eugene Bourland, 21, of Lamar died from injuries sustained in a bush hogging accident near his Garrett Road residence at approximately 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2005.
He was a native of Morrilton, attended Lamar High School, employee of L. A. Customs Body Shop, and was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shelby Jean Bourland.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Bourland; one stepdaughter, Taley Ledford of Lamar; one stepson, Harley D. Ledford of Lamar; father, Michael May of Dardanelle; mother, Pamela Branch of Louisiana; grandfather, F. E. (Red) Bourland of Lamar; two sisters, Jessica Bourland and Jaysha Bourland, both of Louisiana; and three brothers, David Bourland of Subiaco, Russell Bourland of Atkins and Gene Bourland of Mandeville, La.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Bowden cemetery at Pottsville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Leo W. Cummings
Leo Warren Cummings, 72, of Clarksville died Friday, July 29, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a member and trustee of Westside Full Gospel Church, dozer operator, son of the late Joe and Elva Johnson Cummings, and preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Cummings; two daughters, Toni Tilley of Altus and Tammy Estes and husband, Mike, of Hartman; one sister, Jean Kerr of Las Cruces, N. M.; five grandchildren, Sheri and Lee Tilley and Sara, Jared and Mikala Estes; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at Westside Full Gospel Church with Rev. J. W. McEntyre and Rev. Bob Branch officiating.
Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Larry Riley, David Raburn, Harold Dixon, Larry Martin, Ron Hillian, and Hershel Raburn.
Mattie McKinnis
Mattie Blalock McKinnis, 73, of Mena, mother of Deborah Castleman of Clarksville, died Saturday, July 30, 2005.
She was a native of Mena, daughter of the late Robert P. and Margaret Estelle Blalock, and member of the First United Methodist Church in Mena.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years Randall McKinnis; one other daughter, Rhonda Thornton of Little Rock; one son, Randy McKinnis of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Amber Morgan, Mark Morgan and Mattie Thornton; and one sister, Alice (Toots) Jones of Eugene, Ore.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the First United Methodist Church in Mena with Rev. Jim Chapman officiating. Burial was in Pinecrest cemetery.
Cody R. Holland
Cody Raymond Holland, 18, of Clarksville died Friday afternoon, Aug. 5, 2005, from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on County Road 3291.
He was a construction employee and grandson of the late Carl D. Holland.
Survivors include his parents, John and Mary Holland of Clarksville; grandparents, Nan E. Holland of Clarksville, Stanley and Rennie Craig of Knoxville, and Orval Joe Lindsay of Little Rock; one sister, Tasha Holland of Clarksville; and two brothers, John Nolan Holland and Jake Holland of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Mt. Vernon cemetery.

June E. Borne
June E. Borne, 72, of Dayton, Tenn., whose daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tom Ford reside in Clarksville, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, at her home.
She was a native of Rhea County, daughter of the late Roy E. and Florence Phillips Cheeks, member of Morgantown Baptist Church of Dayton, Tenn., and was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Smith and Eva Jean Swafford.
Other survivors include her husband of 52 years Wendell Borne; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rodney and Sandra Borne of Eldorado, Kan., Jim and Linda Borne of Atlanta, Ga., and David Borne of Dayton, Tenn.; three brothers, Roy and Jerry Cheeks of Dayton, Tenn., and Archie Cheeks of Graysville, Tenn.; one sister, Wilma Walker of Dayton, Tenn.; aunt and uncle, Bessie Mae Phillips and Tommy Phillips, both of Dayton, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Vanderwall Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton, Tenn., with Rev. Roger Taylor, Rev. Tom McManus and Rev. Dennis Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens.
