Harl Berry
Harl Everrett Berry, 60, of Oark died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at his home.
He was a Baptist, truck driver and preceded in death by his parents, J. L. Berry and Lelar Wilson Berry and a grandson, Cody Lee Wright.
He his survived by his wife, Annie Mae Wood Berry; two daughters, Sherry Spitler of Inola, Okla., and Cheryl White of Oologah, Okla.; one son, Shawn Berry of Oark; three sisters, Wilma Clayborn of Deer, Alene Joiner of Fayetteville and Thelma McCarty of Hope; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Oark Baptist Church with Rev. George Farquhar officiating.
Burial will be at the Oark cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Everett Willis, Ernest Chriss, Stanley Clayborn, J. E. Chriss, David White and Junior Young.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tillman Tabor, Joe Wood, Ben Wesley and Kenneth Melson.
Otis W. Hunt
Otis Wayne Hunt, 54, of Clarksville died Saturday, Oct. 1, at a Fort Smith hospital.
He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by a sister, Diann Lee Hunt.
He is survived by his fiance, Evetta Young of Clarksville; father, Otis L. Hunt of Sallisaw, Okla.; three daughters, Andrea Hunt, Penny Hunt and Laverne Hunt of Utah; one brother, Bob Hunt of Sallisaw, Okla.; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Barbara Hunt of Oklahoma, Carolyn and Chet Wages and Betty and Coy Hicks of Lamar, and Evelyn and Tim Keith and Mary and Mike Sanders of Clarksville; and several grandchildren.
The body will be cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Odis Hickman
Odis Hickman, 70, of Ludwig died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005 at the National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.
He was born Sept. 18, 1935 in England, son of the late Henry Lee and Lola Lee Overton Hickman, was a heavy equipment operator, awarded the governor's medal for saving the lives of two young men and was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Tyler.
Suvivors include two sons, Paul Douglas Hickman and Michael Earl Hickman; two brothers, Henry Lee Hickman Jr. of Vilonia and John D. Hickman Sr. of Russellville; one sister, Willie Irene Fisher Patterson of Orange, Texas; and two aunts, Sena Brown and Alta Edwards of Russellville.
Graveside service and burial were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Pisgah cemetery with Rev. Gerald Danny Baker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Honorary pallbearer was Stanley Lynch.

Ralph E. Meyers
Ralph Edward Meyers of Clarksville died on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Plitt Meyers, and father, John E. (Jack) Meyers and partner, Johnny C. Odom.
He was born July 28, 1941, in Galveston, Texas, graduated from Kirwin High School there in 1959 and attended the University of Texas at Austin and North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. He and Mr. Odom were the owners/operators of Mountainview Dairy in Knoxville for more than 25 years and then converted the dairy into Shadow Mountain Ranch featuring registered quarter horses.
He was a farmer, member of the Boy Scouts and Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He was a member of the Catholic faith and volunteered countless hours with community support groups, offering his love and friendship to many in need.
He is survived by his cousins, Mrs. Shirley Ann (J. D.) Cucco and Mr. E. F. (Kikki) Plitt of La Marque, Texas, Mrs. Jo Anne Curtis of Galvestonm and extended family, mom, Mrs. Nellie Odom of Sanger, Texas, Joe Phillips of Sanger, Bob and Jo Wise of Clarksville, nieces and nephews, Russ and Jerri Phillips, Rand and Lena Phillips, Melanie, Chris, Linden Renee and Tabitha Rose Patterson, Russ Aaron and Austin Jackson Phillips, Will, Amanda Rose and Kaitlyn Diane Salee, all of Arlington, Texas, and beloved feline companion, Boogie, and many friend.
Mass and memorial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father William Wewers officiating. Graveside service and interment will be in Sanger cemetery in Sanger, Texas. Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville and Coker Funeral Home in Sanger are in charge of arrangements.

William V. Dalton
William V. "Bill" Dalton, 83, of Clarksville died Saturday, Oct. 1, at his home.
He was a native of Montana, son of the late George E. and Lilly Brown Dalton, member of the Assembly of God Church, retired coal miner, volunteer fireman with RFD 9 for the past 30 years, member of civil defense in Clarksville several years, Army veteran of World War II, TSgt. and served with 127th infantry and also 32nd infantry in New Guinea, Southern Philippines, Luzon and Ryukyu, received victory ribbon, good conduct medal, AP theater ribbon, six bronze stars and purple heart and was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clarence Brown, and three sons, Dain, Darrell and Vernon Dalton.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ada Lee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Junior Carter of Coal Hill and Tracy and Steve Moore of Perryville; five sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Loutisha Dalton of Dover, Bill Joe and Dedra Dalton of Fernwood, George Dalton of Spadra, Marty and Becky Dalton of Clarksville and Johnny and Tessie Dalton of Minnow Creek; one brother, Leon Dalton of Rogers; 28 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with burial in Hays Chapel cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Smith, Ronnie Henry, Dennis Ragsdale, Josh Moore, Kenny Dalton and Jody Dalton.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Henry, Teddy Dalton, Blake Dalton and Bradley Dalton.
Willis E. Morrow
Willis E. Morrow, 86, of Altus died Sunday, Oct, 2, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired shop worker and was preceded in death by his parents, Lee P. and Pansy A. Hickey Morrow, and a daughter, Lois Marie Morrow.
He is survived by his wife, Wina Jean Hurst Morrow; one daughter, Barbara Shackles of Emmett, Mich.; two sons, Dean Morrow of Ozone and Michael Morrow of Redford, Mich; two brothers, Homer D. Morrow and George Smith, both of Liberty, Texas; four sisters, Debora Stephens of Cameron, Inez Epperson of Ozark, Betty Zachary of Coal Hill and Patsy McGlenn of Irishhills, Mich.; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Hess cemetery at Coal Hill.
Pallbearers will be Mike Morrow, Craig Morrow, Rick Morrow, Lee Morrow, David Morrow and Jeremy Handly.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Bullington, Dee Gober, Monroe Gober, David Hawkins, Fred Breedlove and Leo Chrisman.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Catherine Haigwood
Catherine Haigwood, 94, of Clarksville died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Margaret Jeanette Buchannan Haigwood, graduate of Clarksville High School and the University of the Ozarks, fourth grade teacher at Sallis School in Clarksville for many years, member of the First United Methodist Church, Love Joy Circle of the First United Methodist Church, Kappa Iota Alpha, and Johnson County Retired Teachers Association, and was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Richard Charsha.
She is survived by six cousins, Lona Ross of Hartman, Shirley Stockton of Clarksville, Ann Tedeton of Downsville, La., Polly Skinner and Arther Haigwood, both of Norman, Okla., and William Thomas Young of Nebraska.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Steve Wingo officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Keith Lewis, Harold Lewis, Gene Harris, Bill Porter, Steve Morgan, and Jack Phillips.
