Charles D. Graham
Charles D. Graham, 56, of Rogers, brother of Reba Umholtz of Clarksville, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, in Rogers.
He was a self-employed mechanic, native of Ozark, son of the late Youell Graham, served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of the Naval Achievement Medal and the Meritorious Mast. He also carried the Marine Corps flag in the color guard.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Graham; one daughter, Melissa Graham of Rogers; mother, Marie Graham Norris of Altus; three brothers, Arliss Graham of Rogers, Jimmy Graham of Huntsville and Bill Graham of Ozark; five other sisters, Mary Simpson and Debbie Ellison of Ozark, Ruth Spicer of Harrison, Frances Hodges of Springdale and Sandi Sullivan of Rudy.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at McDaniel cemetery in Rogers with military honors by the Bella Vista VFW Post 9063. Arrangements were under the direction of Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.
Henry Ladd
Henry Ladd, 81, of Lamar died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at his home.
He was a retired carpenter, builder and contractor, son of the late Pleas and Willie Heaton Ladd, and of the Assembly of God faith. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, James and Junior Ladd.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Bradley Ladd; one son, David Ladd of Lamar; two brothers, Chester Ladd of Pierce City, Mo., and Dean Ladd of Boise, Idaho; and three sisters, Bertha Green of Harrison, Elizabeth Canfield of Modesto, Calif., and Verta Mae McKim of Quartz Hill, Calif.
A private service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Cameron officiating. Burial was also private.
Harold A. Williams
Harold (Arlie) Williams, 80, of Knoxville died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
A native of Knoxville, he was a son of the late Henry Alfred and Mary Belle Wallace Williams, attended Lamar School and Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, retired from Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, Okla., owner and operator of Williams Grocery in Knoxville for 11 years, organizer and fire chief of Knoxville Fire Department in the early 1970s, member of the Johnson County Equalization Board, 32nd degree Mason and a 50-year member of Knoxville Masonic Lodge No. 370.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Rheul, Kenneth, Ralph and James Reece Williams; and three sisters, Jewell Troglin, Betty Williams, and Wilma Frazier.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Joanne Hughes Williams; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Larry Shook of Clarksville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Ann Williams of Clarksville and Steve and Jamie Williams of Russellville; two sisters, Emma Sue Karstetter of Fayetteville and Loretta Chronister of Montrose, Colo.; one brother and sister-in-law, Truett and Donna Williams of Knoxville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Williams and Esther Williams, both of Knoxville; one granddaughter, Sarah Williams of Ozark; three step-grandchildren, Laura Shook, Larry Shook Jr. and Teresa Ross and husband, Brian, all of Clarksville; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at the Knoxville First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Roy Hankins and Rev. Richard Snyder officiating.
Burial was in Knoxville cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home. Masonic graveside services were by Knoxville Lodge No. 370.
Active pallbearers were Teddy Morrow, Tim Storms, Jerry Boen, Steve Tillman, Charles Freeman, Glen Hickey, Jim Terrill and John Tyson.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Knoxville Masonic Lodge No. 370.
Janet Lee Clark
Janet Lee Clark, 42, of Clarksville died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005.
She was born in Fort Jackson, S. C., to Harold J. and Mary Nichols Clark and a Baptist.
Survivors include four daughters, Wanda Perez, Mary Wilson, Rachel Wilson and Tracy Wilson, all of Clarksville; one son, Brian Wilson of Clarksville; two sisters, Kathy Marlow of Fort Smith and Cindy Smith of Ingalls, Kan.; two brothers, Timothy Clark of Alma and Hal Clark of Calloway, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Belt cemetery in Ozark with Rev. Tom Dicus officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
John Nolis Faught
John Nolis Faught, 88, of Jasper, brother of Opal Moore of Clarksville, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) in Harrison.
A native of Deer, he was a son of the late William David and Belle Brown Faught, truck driver, and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Augusta Smith Faught; one son, Eugene Faught; one brother, Minliss Faught; two sisters, Floy Martin and Dorothy Kelley; and five grandchildren.
Survivors are his children, Pauline Howard and Danny Faught, both of Rogers, Gerene Flippo of Green Forest, Bobby Faught of Oak Grove, Patricia Smith of Bentonville, David and Johnny Faught, both of Deer, Marilyn Campbell of Vendor, Roger Faught of Jasper, Ricky Faught of Pelsor, and Vicki Patty of Berryville; one other sister, Jewell Stone of Ozark; 44 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Deer School gymnasium with Donnie Villines and David E. Faught officiating.
Burial will be in Crossroads cemetery near Deer under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.
Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
J. C. Hook
J. C. Hook, 63, of St. Augustine, Fla., died Oct. 21, 2005, at Flagler Hospital.
A native of Coal Hill, he was a son of the late Albert and Eunice Bartlett Hook, resident of St. Augustine, Fla., for the past 35 years, attended Moultrie Baptist Church, was a bus driver for the St. Johns County School Board, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Hook; and grandfather, Cleve Bartlett.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Hook; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Tammy Hook of Schertz, Texas, and Jason and Jeyssa Hook of Orlando, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Jessica and Kayla Schreck of St. Augustine, Fla.; one brother, Benny Chavers of McAlester, Okla.; one sister, Anna Kay Callahan of Lamar; two granddaughters, Morgan and Savannah Hook; one grandson, Jaden Hook; two aunts, Clevie Zachary of Greenwood and Norma Lee Hook of Clarksville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral was at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Moultrie Baptist Church under the direction of Kotrady-Hudgins-Croyle Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial followed at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the West Mount Zion cemetery near Hartman with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Mildred Hawkins
Mildred Hawkins, 92, grandmother of Dr. Blake Hawkins of Clarksville, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home in Russellville.
A native of Coal Hill, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Hershell and Gertrude Elnora Jennings Bryan, widow of Dave Hawkins, member of the First Baptist Church, Sewing Club, Arkansas Tech Dames Club, Crochet Club, Order of the Eastern Star and Gray Ladies at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, and owner and operator of Hawkins Grocery Store in Paris from 1944-56. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Carol Cole Smith; and one brother, L. L. (Doc) Bryan.
Survivors include one son, Tom Hawkins of Russellville; one daughter, Betty Cole of Russellville; two granddaughters, Marsha Berdan of Fort Worth, Texas, and Sara Hamby of Russellville; and one other grandson, Bruce Hawkins of Joplin, Mo.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville with Rev. Matthew Johnson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers were her grandchildren, Dr. Blake Hawkins, Bruce Hawkins, David Smith, Teddy Berdan, Dustin and Dillon Hawkins, Dakota Carson, Remington Hawkins, Cathleen Berdan and Laura Hamby.
Honorary pallbearers were Deloris Pennington and the employees of Legacy Lodge Nursing Home.

N. B. (Nick) Spencer
N. B. (Nick) Spencer, 89, a lifelong resident of the Piney Community in Johnson County, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Spencer; two sisters, Mammie Hamilton and Rachel Case of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Brock cemetery with Rev. Steve Maczko officiating.
