Edith Irene Brown
Edith Irene Brown, 88, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville.
She was a native of Russellville, daughter of the late Joseph Fletcher and Delphia R'Deller George Hughes, and was preceded in death by three sons, Kenneth, Ralph and Joseph Alfred Brown; two daughters, Syble Brown and an infant; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Pauline Oles of Clarksville; two brothers; two sisters; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Shinn Chapel in Russellville with Rev. Robert Wooley officiating. Burial was in Pisgah cemetery at Pottsville.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
Lyda Lou Tillman
Lyda Lou Tillman, 74, of Bentonville died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at Circle of Life Nursing Home in Springdale.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Roy and Bessie Ricketts Willey, widow of George Tillman, graduate of Clarksville High School, member of First United Methodist Church of De Queen, employed at Dr. Robin Daniel Dentist office in De Queen several years, and was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Lloyd Willey.
She is survived by one daughter, Traci Fougerousse and husband, Blake, of Bentonville; two sons, Todd Tillman of Spring, Texas, and Brad Tillman of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Alex Fougerousse and Cori Fougerousse, both of Bentonville; and one sister-in-law, Jimmie Dell Amos of Fayetteville.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Russell Dorch officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Kathryn L. Davis
Kathryn L. (Kitty) Davis, 86, of Lynnwood, Wash., died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007.
She was a native of Lamar, widow of Ronald P. Davis, member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by one son, Dakota Davis.
Survivors include three children, Dorothy Bollinger of Wenatchee, Wash., Daniel Davis of Seattle, Wash., and Mona Baker of Hansville, Wash.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Wanda Pearson of Lamar and Nita Lewis of Clarksville; and one brother, Dan Daniel of Olympia, Wash.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick, Wash.
Ada Holman Light
Ada Holman Light, 91, of Clarksville died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, in Rudy.
A native of Lamar, she was a daughter of the late Luke Wade and Elizabeth Daniels Holman, member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ and Hagarville Extension Homemakers Club, and was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Pearson; and one son, Howard (Bud) Pearson.
Survivors include her husband, Verless Light; one son, Ben Pearson and wife, Sandra, of Rudy; one stepdaughter, Karen Mangrum and husband, Donnie, of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Travis Pearson of Roland, Okla., and Jason Pearson of Hiwasse; four step-grandchildren, Laura Grill of Van Buren, John Watkins and wife, Becky, of Fort Smith, Marissa Mangrum of La Porte, Texas, and Brent Mangrum and wife, Amy, of Webster, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Taylor Grill, Hunter Grill, Ransom Pearson, Ashley Duschinsky, Sidney Mangrum, and Ryder Mangrum; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Paul Farrar officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Pallbearers were Duane Steele, Autry Meeker, James Cox, Doug Carey, Don Carey, and Bub Pearson.

Alma J. Martin
Alma J. (Jick) Martin, 74, of Scranton died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, in Clarksville.
She was a daughter of the late William H. and Ola Needham Snow.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Martin; two daughters, Cheryl Silveira of Scranton and Diane Lucero of Clarksville; one son, Rick Snow of Scranton; two sisters, Jeanne Hughes and Linda Holman, both of Scranton; four brothers, Jim Snow, Billy Don Snow, William Bud Snow and Bobby Dale Snow, all of Scranton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Freewill Baptist Church at Dublin.
Burial was in Wares Chapel cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
Pallbearers were Justin Silveira, Matt Snow, Joe Lucero, Jeremy Porter, David Snow and Mark Snow.
Herbert L. Shockley
Herbert L. (Herb) Shockley, 81, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born in Detroit, Mich., son of Aulton Ashford and John Ava Blair Shockley, attended Hays Chapel Methodist Church, was a decorated veteran of World War II, former member of Pulaski County Mounted Patrol, member of Pittsburg Masonic Lodge No. 362 at Lamar, graduate of Lamar High School, member of the first four-year graduating class at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, thoroughbred horse trainer, and preceded in death by one brother, Blair Shockley.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Shockley; one son, Herbert Warren Shockley of Clarksville; stepmother, Pauline Barber and husband, Richard, of Russellville; four sisters, Lina Ramey and husband, Bobby, of Danville, Janie Jirinec and husband, Joe, of Russellville, Hazel Leslie of Little Rock, and Nancy Holm and husband, Jeff, of Grand Forks, N. D.; one brother, Brent Shockley and wife, Tracey, of Houston, Texas; one granddaughter, Anastasa Shockley of Boulder, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Horne officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Don Stimpson, Don Dougan, Don Robert Hurst, Mike Jacobs, Len Bradley and James Overbey.
Honorary pallbearers were John Helmert, Tom Vasseur, Jerry Oliver, and E. G. Smith.
Imogene Mackie
Imogene Mackie, 84, of Dover died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at Stella Manor Nursing Home.
A native of Dover, she was a daughter of the late Odus K. and Fannie Eubanks, member of North New Hope Assembly of God Church, quilter, seamstress, and was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Mackie; four brothers, Robert K., Odus, Argus and Tommy Eubanks; three sisters, Stella Powell, Edna Ruth Eubanks, and Ruby Moore; and one grandson, Marty Mackie.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Clarence Mackie; four sons and five daughters-in-law, Deryle and Roberta Mackie of Russellville, Don and Kathy Mackie of Scottsville, Tony and Liz Mackie of Dover, Terry and Jana Mackie of Augsburg and Cathy Mackie of Russellville; two daughters and one son-in-law, Elaine and Ron Huddleston of Berryville and Belinda Guinn of Augsburg; several half-brothers, all of Missouri; one half-sister of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at North New Hope Assembly of God Church near Dover with Rev. Bobby Judkins officiating.
Burial was in North New Hope cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Active pallbearers were Deryle, Don, Tony, Terry and Mark Mackie and Kevin Huddleston.
Honorary pallbearers included the staff of Stella Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral for James Eugene Hays, 63, of Fort Smith, who died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at his home, was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Hays Chapel cemetery near Clarksville.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Hays, Paul Hays, Leslie Fisher, Daniel Fisher, Gary Robinson, Ronnie Hays Jr., Jerry Harris Jr., and C. J. Hays.
He was a son of the late Hurley and Wanetta Ralstin Hays, member of the "Good Ole Boys Country Club," retired from Whirlpool as a forklift operator, and was preceded in death by one brother, Doyle Hays.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Belcher and husband, Frankie, of Cedarville and Crystal Martin of Fort Smith; two sons, Stoney Hays and wife, Christi, of St. Paul, Minn., and Tony Spence of Fort Smith; three sisters, Virginia Burnette of Muldrow, Okla., Barbara Harris of Van Buren, and Linda Michelmann of Coal Hill; five brothers, Gary Hays and Paul Hays of Fort Smith, David Hays of Idaho, Lester Hays of San Diego, Calif., and Ronnie Hays of Kibler; seven grandchildren, Morgan and Cooper Hays, Ashley, Josh and Michael Belcher, and McKenzie and Grayson Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
