Kenneth G. Chambers

Kenneth Gayle Chambers, 71, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, in Van Buren.
He was born in Johnson County, attended First United Methodist Church in Clarksville, former student at Holy Redeemer Catholic School and Forrester-Davis Development Center, and was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Lowell (Askins) and Howe A. Higgs; and father, Kenneth R. Chambers.
He is survived by one sister, Randa Hawkins of Fort Smith; and two nieces, Kelley McFerren of Fort Smith and Shelley Webb of Alma.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Activities Department of Crawford Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, 2010 Main Street, Van Buren, AR 72956.

Paul W. Sanborn

Paul W. Sanborn, 74, of Dover, whose son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Wanita Sanborn, reside at Hartman, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
A son of the late Walter Alonzo and Roxanna Cleaves Jones Sanborn, he was a native of Ellsworth, Maine, Baptist, United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War having retired in 1978 as chief master sergeant after 27-plus years, and was an employee of Epperson Construction Company in Russellville for 19 years following his retirement. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter Jr., Charles, John and Clarence Sanborn; and one brother-in-law, Richard Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Beverly Jo Sanborn; three other sons, Dave Sanborn and wife, Robin, of Russellville, Dan Sanborn and wife, Debbie, of Abilene, Texas, and Ric Sanborn and fiancee, Melanie Goad, of Fort Smith; one daughter, Lana Sue Ledezma and husband, Joe, of Kerrville, Texas; one sister, Sally Gifford of Ellsworth, Maine; two brothers-in-law, Curtis Mitchell and wife, Anna, of Dover, and Tom Mitchell of the Philippines; one sister-in-law, Jean Abbott and husband, Wayne, of Poteau, Okla.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Shinn Funeral Service Chapel. Burial, with military honors, was in McFadden cemetery at Dover.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of Arkansas, 211 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205-9869 or a charity of the donor's choice.

Phyllis Ann Payne

Phyllis Ann Payne, 74, of Russellville died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a native of Tulsa, Okla., daughter of the late Carl Guy and Mable Fern Bellows Lowther, widow of James D. Payne Sr., and was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Payne; one grandson, David Freeman; and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two sons, James Payne Jr. and wife, Theresa, of Russellville and Ronnie Payne and wife, Barbara, of Hartman; six daughters, Deborah Smith and husband, Charles, of Clarksville, Diana Freeman and husband, David, of Pottsville, Donna Chambers and husband, Camp, of Russellville, Doris Kemp and husband, Don, of Pottsville, Darlene Fitzgerald and husband, Larry Joe, of Oklahoma, and Belinda Edwards Wells of Russellville; one brother, Ray Lowther of Tulsa, Okla.; 31 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Bill Reed of Russellville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Shinn Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Michael Stick officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery at Russellville.
Grandsons and friends of the family served as pallbearers.

Trixie J. Buchanan

Trixie J. Buchanan, 82, of Phoenix, Ariz., a native of the Harmony Community, died Aug. 9, 2007, in a Phoenix hospital.
She was a daughter of the late James L. and Ola Miracle Porter, widow of C. T. Buchanan, and was preceded in death by one brother, Gus H. Porter.
She is survived by two sons, Chris A. Buchanan of Ruidoso, N. M., and Bruce Buchanan of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three brothers, Lyall, Buel and Bill Porter of Clarksville.
Graveside services and interment were in the Veterans Memorial cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.

Donny L. Chappell

Donny Lee Chappell, 52, of Clarksville died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, near Charleston.
He was a native of Sturgis, Mich., member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Charleston, and served in the Navy.
Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Chappell of Reno, Nev.; one son, Donny Chappell of Reno, Nev.; mother, Helen Crutchfield of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Buck Chappell of Sacramento, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Moores Chapel cemetery in Waveland. Arrangements were under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.

Gene Bruce Housley

Gene Bruce Housley, 74, of Clarksville died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2007.
He was a son of the late Alfred and Annie Lee Cravens Housley, 1950 graduate of Scranton High School, attended Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas, retired president of the Arkansas Parts Warehouse in Little Rock, and member of First United Methodist Church in Clarksville, Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rites.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Norma Parks Housley; one brother, Cravens Housley and wife, Lora Mae, of Pine Bluff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at the Prairie View cemetery in Prairie View with Rev. Clark Snow officiating.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607-1460 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P, O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

Harley Domerese

Harley Domerese, 85, of Clarksville died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Harley Clarence and Eva Edna Elkins Domerese, member of Hedgeway Church, formerly in the service station and motel businesses, and was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Domerese; one daughter, Joye Tackett; two brothers, Roy and Hoyt Domerese; and two sisters, Vergie Rannals and Una Mae Laneer.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Standridge and husband, Dennis, of Clarksville; one sister, Jolene Wall of Branson, Mo.; four brothers, George Domerese of Clarksville, Clarence Domerese of Van Buren, Dane Domerese of Coal Hill, and Arthur Dean Domerese of Branson, Mo.; four grandchildren, William (Butch) Tackett, Karen Limbocker, Mark Standridge and Amber Standridge; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Crumpler, Hannah Limbocker and Carleigh Tackett; three stepchildren, Janice Deckard, Larry Thornton and Mike Thornton; and seven step-grandchildren, Leslie LaBellarte, Lisa Fisher, Ashley Hedgpeth, Bryan, Brent and Tiffany Thornton, and Christopher Mann.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Cherry Street Baptist Church with Rev. Don Alexander officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were T. H. (Red) Domerese, Russell Wall, Dondi Elkins, J. C. Wheeler, Wendell Limbocker, and Bill Tackett.

Harley F. Mueller

Harley F. (Bud) Mueller, 62, of London died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at his home at Flat Rock.
He was a native of Bauxite, roofer and carpenter, son of the late Joe Loyd and Eula England Mueller, and was preceded in death by his wife, Linda L. Mueller.
He is survived by two daughters, Shamra Daniel and husband, Glenn, and Eulanda R. Brown and husband, Mark, all of London; one son, Harlie F. Mueller and wife, Melodie, of Lamar; one brother, Johnny Mueller and wife, Bonita; two sisters, Eulene Estes and husband, Lloyd, and Linda Willcutt and husband, Gary, all of London; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Knoxville cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Birge officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Duncan, Bob Genn, Wayne Bays, Jason Dale, Monte Estes, and Jeff Martin.
