John Kalcich
John Kalcich, 70, of Lamar died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at his home.
He was a native of Brewster, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Mary Kovac Kalcich, graduate of Lamar High School, Air Force veteran, and retired welder.
Survivors include one daughter, Nicole Reel and husband, Jason, of Russellville; four sisters, Mitzi Kalcich and Johanna Simpson, both of Tulsa, Okla., Frances Hale of Rogers, and Mildred Kalcich of Sacramento, Calif.; and two brothers, Frank Kalcich of Sperry, Okla., and Phillip Kalcich of El Dorado.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Rev. William Wewer, O. S. B., officiating.
Burial was in Holy Redeemer Catholic cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Bobby Joe McAlister, Jerry Ogden, Dewayne Dlugosh, Ancil Hutchins, Tommy Hales and Rick Harmon.
Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Simpson and James Hales.
Marilyn J. Peterson
Marilyn Joann Peterson, 65, of Clarksville died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007.
She was a native of Reed City, Mich., daughter of the late Ralph and Violet Powers Custer, and preceded in death by her husband, Roger C. Peterson.
She is survived by one son, Steven Peterson of Rickman, Tenn.; and one daughter, Kimberly Stepp of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Evart, Mich., with Pastor David Darling officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Ola Belle Wilson
Ola Belle Wilson, 100, of Clarksville died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Jim and Anna Belle Bradley Reynolds, Baptist, and preceded in death by husbands, Doyle Colvin and Albert Ab Wilson; one son, J. D. Colvin; two brothers; and five sisters.
She is survived by two grandsons, S. D. Colvin and Charles D. Colvin, both of Lamar; four great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Holman cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kevin Colvin, Kenny Colvin, Bobby Joe Wilkins, Kenneth Wilkins, Leonard White and Dr. Dan Aquilar.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Reynolds and Norman Reynolds.
Raymond Sindelar Sr.
Raymond Joseph Anthony Sindelar Sr., 73, of Ozark died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was a retired Los Angeles Rapid Transit bus driver, Navy veteran, Catholic, and was preceded in death by one brother, James Sindelar.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Angela Sindelar; three daughters, Michelle Langhurst of Cypress, Calif., Melanie Sindelar of Rosemead, Calif., and Debra Hultquist of Beckley, W. Va., formerly of Clarksville; three sons, Raymond Sindelar Jr. of Covington, Wash., James Sindelar of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Jeff Olson of Arizona City, Ariz.; one brother, Donald Sindelar of Bellevue, Neb.; one sister, Kathryn Stacey of Bellevue, Neb.; and 13 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Dr. Jack Glaze officiating.
Troy Eugene Laster
Troy Eugene Laster, 92, of Jenks, Okla., died Aug. 12, 2007, at Methodist Manor in Broken Arrow, Okla.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Earl and Eugenia Laster, former resident of Ozark, retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1980 with 30-plus years as a certified public accountant, and was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Laster.
He is survived by one daughter, Vicki Stefanoff of Jenks, Okla.; one sister, Onita Bass of Ozark; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Floral Haven Funeral Chapel in Broken Arrow, Okla., with Rev. Suzanne Davis officiating. Military honors were conducted and burial was in the Floral Memorial Gardens Masonic Garden.
Verneice E. Teeter
Verneice Eggleston Teeter, 88, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
A native of London, she was a daughter of the late Shrigley and Daisy Wood Eggleston, widow of Robert F. Teeter, graduate of Russellville High School, member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, and retired employee of Clarksville Shoe Plant.
She is survived by one daughter, Cindy McFerran and husband, Bruce, of Charleston; one son, Robert (Bobby) Teeter and wife, Gretchen, of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Kelli Stephens and Mika Rountree, both of Fort Smith, Bob Riddell of North Potomic, Md., Deanah Baker of Springdale, and Angie Teeter of Clarksville; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Payne and Rev. Billy Usery officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Eugene Hill, Bob Dewinter, Frank Urtado, David Payne, Dean Holman, and Bill Brockman.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Hewitt, Bob Moore, Jimmy Holman, Mike Simpson, Eric Payne, Gwen Wood, and Calvin Warren.

Lucille F. Cogan
Lucille Fern Hedges Cogan, after 94 years of a life well lived, has earned her eternal reward with her heavenly Father. She died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007.
She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Zada Hedges. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Hedges, and her husband of 53 years, Paul Cogan Sr.
Lucille was born in Iowa and later moved to Independence, Mo., where she was a long time resident. Lucille worked in an aircraft engine plant in the 40s and for many years as a seamstress. In 1963, along with her husband, she retired in Johnson County, AR. Here she became an active member of the community and friend to many. Lucille was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She belonged to the Christian Mothers Society and quilting and sewing groups.
Lucille will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit. She lived her life from her heart and taught us all to appreciate the gifts given us each day. She was a woman much loved and admired by the people who were blessed to be part of her life.
Lucille is survived by her loving family which includes her son, Paul Cogan Jr. and his wife, Helen. Her six grandchildren and their spouses, Peggy Meesey and husband, Peter, Tom Cogan and wife, Ramona, Daniel Cogan and wife, Peggy, Patricia Pearson and husband, Daniel, Dave Cogan and wife, Pam, all of Clarksville, and Theresa Sanders and husband, Randy, of Kalkaska, Mich. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 25, with a rosary at 1:30 p.m. and a mass at 2 p.m. in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Clarksville with Father William Wewers officiating.
Interment was held at the Knoxville cemetery. Arrangements were by Hardwicke Funeral Home.
The six grandchildren served as pallbearers.
