Billy Glen Terry
Billy Glen Terry, 62, of Lamar died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Fort Douglas, he was a son of the late Gus and Avline Gregory Terry, retired farmer, graduate of Lamar High School, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Margie McCraw; and two grandchildren, John Thomas McCraw and Miriam McCraw.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Louise Stone Terry; four daughters, Clara Gordon and husband, Shane, of Magazine, Frances Terry of Little Rock, and Cheryl Sanders and husband, Roger, and Patty Terry, all of Lamar; two sons, Fred Terry and wife, Debbie, and Daniel Terry, all of Lamar; one sister, Louise Graves and husband, William, of Hagarville; son-in-law, Gene McCraw of Walnut Valley; 12 grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Hailey and Hannah Terry, all of Lamar, Samantha, Emily and Abigail McCraw, all of Walnut Valley, Paige, Shelby and Bryce Gordon, all of Magazine, and Lakyn and Kori Sanders, both of Lamar; one niece, and several nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Milloway officiating. Burial will be in Fort Douglas cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Terry, Troy Terry, Ronnie Terry, Terry Yancey, Leon Meimerstorf, and David Graves.
Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Hale.
Donald E. Smith
Donald E. Smith, 88, of Clarksville died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Oscar and Ada Danek Smith, carpenter, captain and veteran of World War II serving as an aviation engineer in the Philippines, longtime resident of Kenosha, Wis., where he was head cabinet maker for City Lumber Company of Kenosha, and former member of First Baptist Church before retiring to Clarksville in 1981, where he did cabinet building and was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Smith and Lloyd Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Barnes Smith; one son, Donald E. Smith Jr. of North Hollywood, Calif.; and one sister, Gladys Brown of Racine, Wis.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, at the First Baptist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Darrell Bridges officiating.
Burial was in Woodland cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Richard Rogers, Danny Leeds, Randy Gresham, Frank Hilton, David Ross, and Ross McCarley.
Honorary pallbearers were Henry McKnight and Jay Moody.
Monetta D. Hadley
Monetta Lee (Mo) Dickerson Hadley, 66, of Ponca City, Okla., died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at her home.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late J. W. Dickerson, attended Clarksville Public Schools and the University of the Ozarks where she completed a business major in 1962, member of Beta Sigma Phi, Rainbow, and St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by two brothers, J. R. Dickerson and Bill Dickerson; and three sisters, Anna Moore, Lottie Morgan, and Pearl Whitson.
Survivors include her husband, William O. Hadley; one son, Greg Hadley of Ponca City, Okla.; one daughter, Angie Hadley of Pittsburg, Kan.; mother, Ila Green Dickerson of Clarksville; one brother, J. W. Dickerson II of Clarksville; one sister, Bonnie Dickerson of Fort Smith; and three grandchildren, Gunnar, Eriq, and Sydney Hadley of Ponca City, Okla.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Rev. Lisa Crone-Sheldon officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

Oleta Pryor Day
Oleta Jane Pryor Day, 98, of Clarksville died Tuesday, July 24, 2007.
She was a native of the Bethlehem Community, daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Lou Laster Pryor, widow of Virgil M. Day, lifelong resident of Johnson County, graduate of the University of the Ozarks, school teacher for 35 years, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Retired Teachers Association, and the First Presbyterian Church where she served in several capacities. She was also active in community affairs including the Johnson County Historical Society, the Extension homemakers club projects and the Johnson County Democratic Party. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dwight Day and Clark Day; two stepsons, V. M. Day Jr. and Hansel Day; one stepdaughter, Elise Ray; one sister, Katie Doherty; and one brother, Charlie Pryor.
Survivors include one daughter, Freda Pearson of Clarksville; one stepdaughter, Louise Chronister of Russellville; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Rice and Rev. Brady Duff officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don Pearson, Bob Day, Steve Day, Derrick Cherne, Michael Gibson, Alex Rice, Sonny Pearson, and Collin Pearson.

Robert O. Fisher
Robert O. (Bobby) Fisher, 66, of Richardson, Texas, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at his home.
He was a son of the late Robert L. (Bob) Fisher of Clarksville and Joan Watt Fisher of Danville, a graduate of Danville High School, attended Arkansas Tech University, and received an associate degree in electrical engineering, a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in computer science at the University of Arkansas.
Following graduation, he worked on a doctorate of computer science degree at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Ill., and continued at the University of Texas in Dallas, Texas. He was employed by Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas, for approximately 30 years. He also earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Survivors include one son, Chris Fisher of Russellville; two daughters, Tamara Morris of Morrilton and Teresa Ausborn of Russellville; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Mary Fisher of Danville; stepmother, Christene Fisher of Clarksville; two granddaughters, Alexandra Ausborn and Katherine Ausborn of Russellville; and one nephew, Davy Fisher and wife, Shara, of Bentonville.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at the Earl Ladd cemetery in Danville with Rev. Earl Stapleton officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.
James T. Lewis Jr.
James Thomas (Junior) Lewis Jr., 77, of Lamar died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at his home.
He was a son of the late James T. and Viola McKnight Lewis, employee of Eureka Brick Company for 44 years, Army veteran, served on Lamar City Council for 41 years, and was preceded in death by one son, Michael James Lewis; two brothers, Leon Lewis and J. T. Lewis; and one sister, Mildred Ingram.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Bernice Hall Lewis; two daughters, Barbara Jean White and husband, Larry, and Jo Ann Snyder and husband, Richard, all of Lamar; three brothers, Clarence Lewis and Earl Lewis, both of Clarksville, and Lawrence Wayne Lewis of Fort Smith; one sister, Lois Faubus of Kansas City, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Joshua Neal White, Rebekah Blaine Snyder and Elizabeth Ann Snyder.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Don Carey and Rev. Richard Snyder officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ronnie Sexton, Jim White, Jimmy Ogden, Robert Hall, Danny Hall and Earl Mason.
Honorary pallbearers were Brad Johnson, Shaun Lewis, and Marty Tumbleson.
Juanita Hon Hercules
Juanita Pauline Hon Hercules, 78, of Lee's Summit, Mo., died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at John Knox Nursing Center in Lee's Summit, Mo.
She was a native of the Flat Rock Community in Johnson County, daughter of the late Lydia and J. D. Hon, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Glen, David and Eugene Hon, and one sister, Maxie Gobell.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Anna Gorman of Lee's Summit, Mo.; five sisters, Hilda Boyd, Wilma Gray and Iva Shinn of Russellville, Geraldine Bell of Tampa, Fla., and Connie Tucker of London; and one brother, James Hon of London.
The body was cremated.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at the Brock cemetery at Piney.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
