Doris R. Clyma

Doris Raye Clyma, 81, of Van Buren, formerly of Lamar, died Friday, June 22, 2007, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
She attended Lamar Schools, was the widow of Russell Clyma, a retired clerk-cashier, and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Sharon Borengasser of Fort Smith, Terry Allen of Muldrow, Okla., Janet Laster and Nancy Smith, both of Van Buren, and Sandy Irvin of Uniontown; two sons, John and James Clyma of Fort Smith; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and two cousins, Jessie M. Head of Lamar and Susie Webb of North Little Rock.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 4929 Industrial Park Road, Van Buren, AR 72956.

Dr. Clifford Boswell

Dr. Clifford A. Boswell, 54, of Batesville died Sunday, July 1, 2007, in the White River Medical Center in Batesville.
A native of Batesville, he was a son of the late Samuel A. and Maxine Wood Boswell, formerly of Clarksville, 1970 graduate of Southside High School, served in the U. S. Air Force from 1972-1974, graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and U.A.M.S. in 1985, did his residency in Pine Bluff and first practiced family medicine at Clarksville Medical Group prior to moving to Newark Medical Clinic. He was a member and deacon of First Assembly of God Church in Batesville.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Boswell; three sons, Zach Boswell of Batesville, Micah Boswell of Little Rock and Jacob Boswell of Springfield, Mo.; one daughter, Leah Eckart of Little Rock; one brother, Michael Boswell of Lamar; and one step-grandson, Clavin Branscum of Batesville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the First Assembly of God Church in Batesville. Burial was at Oaklawn cemetery in Batesville.

Evelyn Oliver

Evelyn Oliver, 63, of Clarksville died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
She was a daughter of the late Wesley Cooter and Violet Hodges Mosley, retired, and was preceded in death by two sons, Todd and Jim Oliver; two grandchildren, Denise and Randy Turner; and one sister, Barbara Ann Allen.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Ben Oliver; one daughter, Andrea Turner and husband, Darrell, of Ozone; three sisters, Betty Curtis of Clarksville, Patsy Jenkins of Bentonville, and June Floyd of Charleston; three grandchildren, Ronnie Turner, Zach Oliver and Wesley Oliver; and one great-grandchild, Mathew Shomber.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Oakland cemetery with Bryan King officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Tony Marvel, D. J. Hunter, Bo Clayborn, Keith Clayborn, Paul Gean, and Robert Curtis.

Florence G. Boggs

Florence Gilbert Boggs, 80, of Clarksville died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Marvin (Slick) and Della Wise Gilbert, widow of Mitchell Boggs, and member of Coal Hill VFW.
She is survived by one daughter, Marlene Cooper and husband, Jody, of Clarksville; three sons, Robert Patterson and wife, Georgiana, of Hartman, Ronnie Patterson of Long Beach, Calif., and Mike Patterson of Clarksville; one brother, Blackie Gilbert and wife, Thelma, of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Freeman officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Pratt, John Marvin Gilbert, Wayne Gilbert, Lonnie Gilbert, Doyle Farmer, and Don Pitts.
Honorary pallbearers were Bob Gilbert, Jack Gilbert, Bob Humphrey, and Gerald Gilbert.

Helen Wheeler

Helen Wheeler, 78, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Johnson County, died May 1, 2007.
The body was cremated.
A service to scatter the ashes will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, on the land at Hagarville where she and her late husband, Ed, resided for 20-plus years.
The public is invited to attend the service.

Heng K. Hor

Heng K. Hor, 57, of Clarksville died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cambodia, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville and custodian at Clarksville Junior High School.
Survivors are his wife, Kuon Gina Heap; and five daughters, Rebekah, Santheara, Marida, Nary, and Navy.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Darrell Bridges officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Imogene Beamer

Imogene Beamer, 86, died June 26, 2007, in Holton, Kan.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late Charles (Ed) and Lillie Laster Edwards, widow of Archibald Beamer, 1936 graduate of Clarksville High School, and was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Edwards Clark; two brothers, Burce Edwards and Dennis Edwards; and one nephew, Steve Clark.
She is survived by nieces and nephews including Jim Jones of Netawaka, Kan., and Richard Edwards of California; and one great-nephew, Steve Montelle Clark of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral was in Holton, Kan., on June 29 followed by burial on June 30 at Memorial Park cemetery in Tulsa, Okla.

Jack H. McDowell

Jack Howard McDowell, 81, of Three Rivers, Mich., formerly of Lamar, died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers, Mich.
He was a native of Vicksburg, Mich., son of the late Earl and Laura Hannah McDowell, attended Vicksburg Schools, served in the U. S. Army in India and Burma during World War II, former resident of South Bend, Ind., former employee of Studebaker Motors, the Bendix Corporation, Reith-Riley Construction and Tyson Foods, and church song leader. He was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria McDowell and one brother, Earl McDowell Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Helen McDowell; seven children and spouses, Debora and Craig Phillips of Lamar, Cecil and Patsy McDowell of Three Rivers, Mich., Sherry and Joe Ruckman of Kokomo, Ind., Daniel and Jackie McDowell of South Bend, Ind., Aceldr (David) McDowell of Elkhart, Ind., Laura and Stan Kathan of LaGrange, Ind., and James McDowell of Sealy, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister, Wilda (Mickey) Eberline and husband, Larry, of McAllen, Texas.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon, Mich., with Rev. Reid Crow, pastor of Living Hope Foursquare Church in Mishawaka, Ind., officiating.
Burial was in Leonidas cemetery with military honors by the Snow-Hasbrouck VFW Post No. 4898 of Mendon, Mich.

Katherene F. Rinke

Katherene Frances Rinke, 61, of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at her home.
She was an administration specialist at the Nuclear Plant and daughter of the late Leonard Francis and Lucille Allene Allen Rinke.
Survivors include three daughters, Michele Yarbrough of Russellville, Valerie Meyer of Chesterfield, Va., and Daphne Brewer of Midlothian, Texas; one son, Kevin Dean of Hot Springs; one brother, Richard Hose of Grand Prairie, Texas; one sister, Cecelia Looper of Clarksville; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Kendall cemetery.
