Hailey Allen Cherb
Hailey Marie Allen Cherb, infant daughter of Anna Allen and Jim Cherb, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Clarksville.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Carroll Clayborn, Sandra Clayborn, and Fredrick (Buddy) Cherb; and great-grandparents, Hoarace Clayborn, Anna Clayborn, Harvey Bashers, Bernice Bashers, Angie Beeman and Joseph Tate.
Other survivors are two sisters, Makayla Allen and Alexus Allen; grandparent, Velma Bryant of Clarksville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Hartman cemetery.
Herman L. Wewer
Memorial mass for Herman Louis Wewer, 56, of Tacoma, Wash., who died Aug. 4, 2006, in Tacoma, Wash., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Subiaco Abby Coury House Retreat Center Chapel with Father Raphael De Salvo and Father Leonard Wangler, O. S. B., officiating. Burial will be in St. Ignatius cemetery in Scranton.
He was a Catholic and son of the late Mattie Williams Wewer.
Survivors include one daughter, Miranda Wewer of California; father, Martin Wewer of Paris; one brother, Bernard Wewer of Arkansas; and one sister, Betty Mayne of California.
Ila T. Henry
Ila T. Henry, 61, of Mulberry died Saturday, March 17, 2007, in Van Buren.
She was a native of Ozark, daughter of the late Charlie and Flossie Belt Nichols, widow of Bob Henry, and was preceded in death by one brother, Gordon Nichols.
She is survived by one daughter, Tamara Ritchie of Mulberry; five sisters, Katherine Dorney of Hartman, Bobbie Askins and Mabel Skidgel, both of Coal Hill, Wanda Infante of Vacaville, Calif., and Irene Newton of Alma; and two grandchildren, Sydney and Summer Henry, both of Mulberry.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the Belt cemetery at Ozark with Rev. Grady Glass officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Pallbearers were Charles Vick, Joseph, Galvin and Jarrod Infante, John and Darryl Newton and Daniel Stewart.
Jennifer Lynn Savage
Jennifer Lynn Savage, 33, of Scranton, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in Clarksville.
She was a native of Biloxi, Miss., former resident of Vian, Okla., 1991 graduate of Vian High School, recipient of a bachelor's degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., Baptist, and employed as a paralegal at Weaver Law Office in Clarksville.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Savage; one daughter, Makenzie Savage of the home; one stepson, Rune Savage of Conway; mother and stepfather, Joan and Harold Ray Jones of Vian, Okla.; father and stepmother, Larry and Polly McCoy of Beggs, Okla.; one brother, Phillip McCoy of Beggs, Okla.; one sister, Kimberly McCoy of Beggs, Okla.; maternal grandparents, Douglas (Boots) and Rena Young of Vian, Okla., and Wanda Young of Vian, Okla.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Blackgum Baptist Church in Vian, Okla., with Rev. Dale Ritter, Donald Robertson and Lynn Brown officiating. The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw, Okla.
Melvina W. Martin
Melvina Willis Martin, 72, of Stilwell, Okla., died Monday, March 26, 2007, in Fort Smith.
She was a daughter of the late Felix and Nancy Brison Willis, widow of Cecil Martin, member of the Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Buster Willis and Denver Willis; and one sister, Annis Melson.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris Foster of Stilwell, Okla.; three sons, Rev. Doyle Martin of Bokoshe, Okla., Rev. Darrell Martin of Uniontown, and Rev. Doug Martin of Muldrow, Okla.; two sisters, Ollie Collins of Fort Smith and Sylvia Norman of Chandler, Okla.; three brothers, Ed Willis of Knoxville, Dennis Willis of Oark, and Levi Willis of Clarksville; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the First Assembly of God Church in Clarksville with Rev. Doyle Martin, Rev. Darrell Martin, Rev. Doug Martin, and Rev. Carl Sory officiating.
Burial will be in the Batson cemetery at Oark under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be George Willis, Larry Willis, Dwain Melson, David Willis, Wayne Rothmeyer, Paul Mason, Mark Morse and Rusty Martin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Morse, Ronald Martin, Terry Mason, Greg Willis, Robbie Willis and Johnny Willis.
Sue Ann Dolmage
Sue Ann Farmer Dolmage, 60, of Lamar died Monday, March 26, 2007, at Lamar.
She was a daughter of the late Otto Farmer and was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Joe Hampton and Randy Lee Hampton; and one brother, Leslie Farmer.
Survivors include her mother, Treva (Anna Bell) Hampton Bailey of Oark; one son, Ronnie Leroy Hampton; one brother, David Hampton of Ozone; four sisters, Marilyn Bickner of Hasty, Villa Friesen of Deer, and Christie Fouts and Kathryn Williams, both of Dover; three grandchildren; and numerous stepbrothers and stepsisters.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Western Grove cemetery in Western Grove with Rev. Rickey Stone officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Farmer, George Friesen, Jeff Fouts, Mike Farmer, Vick Farmer, and Brandon Lee Hampton.
Neil Martin
Neil Martin, 77, of Ozark, father of Linda Remick of Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in Booneville.
He was a native of Loveland, Colo., son of the late Robert Bib and Dorothy Brunson Martin, and a retired self-employed mechanic.
Other survivors include three sons, Tony and Kenneth Martin of Ozark and Gary Martin of Springfield, Mo.; three sisters, Darlene Dockery of Marionville, Mo., Helen Davis of Aurora, Mo., and Pat Guy of Lavaca; one brother, Richard Martin of Boyd, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with Rev. Rick Corley officiating. Burial was at Osa cemetery near Marionville, Mo.
Ronald R. Roberts
Ronald R. Roberts, 47, of Clarksville died Monday, March 12, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a machinist, son of the late Heartsille Roberts and was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby J. Roberts.
He is survived by one son, Christopher R. Roberts of Rogers; and mother, Roberta Peters Roberts.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Friday, March 16, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Ada Lou King
A memorial service for Ada Lou King, 71, who died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at her home in Roswell, N. M., will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Harmony Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob King officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late James Monroe and Ruby Leona Blackburn King, graduate of Clarksville High School and the University of the Ozarks, and taught at Roswell, N. M., for many years.
She is survived by one sister, Sandra L. Morris of North Little Rock; two nieces, Leslie Guise and Misty Morris, both of North Little Rock; three great-nieces, Kristin Morris of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Maya and Sabrina Johnson, both of Little Rock; and two great-nephews, James Lattin and Armando Hernandez Jr., both of North Little Rock.
