Reba Marie Guarino
Reba Marie Fowler Guarino, 81, of Dardanelle, whose daughter and son-in-law, Danette (Dee) and Eddie King reside in Clarksville, died Monday, March 12, 2007.
A native of Danville, she was a daughter of the late John and Maggie Fowler, widow of Daniel Guarino, retired employee of the U. S. Treasury Department in Washington, D. C., member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, and was preceded in death by one sister, Jewel Painter, and one brother, Junior Fowler.
She is survived by three other daughters, Margaret Graham, Patricia (Patty) Guarino of Dardanelle and Rebecca (Becky) O'Donnell of Russellville; one son, Anthony (Tony) Guarino and wife, Tammy, of Russellville; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Haney and husband, Mark, Michael Levels and Trisha DeCatur of Dardanelle, Bryan Barnett of Russellville, Jeremy Guarino of Paris, Sarah Barnett, Meagan and Lauren Guarino of Russellville; three brothers, Doyle, James and Bobby Fowler; three sisters, Louise Jones, Betty Lewis and Linda Vodrazka; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary service was at 1:30 p.m. and funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Dardanelle.
Burial was in Brearley cemetery at Dardanelle under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mark Haney, Stanley Strnad, Doyle Steven Fowler, Jimmy Don Fowler, Johnny Ray Fowler, and Mitchell Lewis.

Wilma D. McKown
Wilma Deloris McKown, 67, of Tulsa, Okla., died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.
A native of Hartman, she was a daughter of the late Roy E. Goodin, 1957 graduate of Hartman High School, employee of Woodland Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., for 17 years, member of the Pentecostal Church in Nowata, Okla., and was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Slagle, one grandson, Merrell Slagle Jr.; and one great-grandson, Tanner Slagle.
Survivors are her husband, Jimmie Dee McKown; mother, Bessie Goodin Guthrie of Hartman; one sister and brother-in-law, Elnoria and Allen McKinney of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Martha Goodin of Hartman and Joe and Diana Goodin of Nowata, Okla.; one son-in-law, Allen Slagle of Tulsa, Okla.; two grandsons; one granddaughter; two great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, in Flora Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Okla., with Joe Goodin officiating. Interment was at Flora Haven Memorial Gardens in Masonic Garden.
Pallbearers were Shawn McKinney, Scott Goodin, Don Frye, Donnie Collins, Bryan McKown and Brandon McKown.
Allora Dawn Whitson
Allora Dawn Whitson, infant daughter of Sarah Conner and Stephen Whitson, entered into this life September 29, 2006, at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas and departed this life into the arms of our Lord on March 2, 2007.
During her brief stay on this earth she was the light of her mommy and daddy's life and a joy to all others who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Clifford and Nadine Melton, her maternal great-grandfather, Max Conner, paternal great-grandparents, Ramona and Elmer Whitson, and paternal great-grandfather, Tony Vann.
She is survived by her parents, Sarah Conner and Stephen Whitson of Dardanelle, Arkansas; maternal grandmother, Jody Melton of Mountain Grove, Missouri; maternal grandfather, Shawn Conner of Marshfield, Maryland; paternal grandparents, Stephen and Darlene Whitson of London, Arkansas and Linda June Vann; great-uncles, Doug and Marjorie Melton of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jim and Letha Melton of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Dennis and Linda Melton of Ketchican, Alaska, James and Linda Whitson of Kentucky, and DeLayne and David McKnight of Clarksville, Arkansas; aunts and uncles, Micah Melton and Jonah Conner of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Kimberly and Larland Mayfield of Norwood, Missouri, Tabitha and Same Wall of Scurry, Texas, and Ramona and Frank Dickerson of London, Arkansas; great-aunts and uncles, Byron Vann, Sissy Richardson, Annette Vann and Susie Vann, all of Dallas, Texas, and a host of other relatives and friends. Allora will be sadly missed, but is thankfully asleep in the arms of the gentle Shepherd.
Funeral service will be at 4 P.M. Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville. Burial will be in the Stubbs cemetery in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Edith M. Carpenter
Edith Mooney Carpenter, 88, of Ozark died Monday in Ozark.
She was a native of Salus, but had resided in Ozark since 1957, daughter of the late Brady H. and Cordelia Hignite Mooney, widow of Gerald Carpenter, member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ozark, a tailor, and was preceded in death by one son, Leonard Carpenter.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Shirley Bice Carpenter of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two grandchildren, Kari Carpenter and Lori Carpenter Lang of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three great-grandsons; and one nephew, Lawrence Mooney of Knoxville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Eyres officiating. Burial was in Highland cemetery at Ozark.
Honorary pallbearers were William Bice, Lawrence Mooney, Mark Leding, Ray Coker, Don Johnston, and Larry Stewart.

Scott D. Page
Scott Douglas Page, 18, of Russellville died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007.
A native of Russellville, he was a son of the late Glenn Page, attended Pottsville High School, member of the London First Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Quinn Page, and maternal grandfather, Roy Brown.
Survivors include his parents, Patty and Tom Willis of Russellville; twin brother, Nathan Page of Russellville; one sister, Heather Dunaway of London; maternal grandparents, Allan and Marcell Hampton of Russellville; paternal grandmother, Lucille Page of Atkins; two stepbrothers, Jason Willis of Oark and Philip Willis of Russellville; and two stepsisters, Miranda Sanders of Vancouver, Wash., and Ashley Willis of Oark.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Rankin cemetery in Russellville with Rev. Jerry Schlinker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Alonzo Ervin Mefford
Alonzo (Lon) Ervin Mefford, age 76, on Wednesday, February 21, 2007, in his home near Hartman passed peacefully to a “better place.”
Alonzo was born to the late Ervin Walter and Lettie May Mefford in Erick, Okla. He attended schools in California. Alonzo served in the U. S. Air Force for three and one-half years, serving most of that time in the Philippines. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Worth, Aubrey and Carroll Mefford, and one great-granddaughter Allie Elizabeth Coleman.
He left behind this wife, Marilyn Reicks Mefford; three sons Donnie and Janet Mefford of Russellville, Lonnie and Marcy Mefford of Ozark and Ronnie and Amber Mefford of Clarksville; four daughters, Bonnie O'Dell of Tucson, Ariz., Connie Mefford of Dover, Jannie Dudley of Ozark, and Linda and Mike Gray of New Windsor, Md.; two stepsons Walter Stevens of Hartman and David Stevens of Apple Valley, Calif.; three brothers, Robert and Isabel of Orange County, Calif., Boyd and Lil Mefford of Avondale, Ariz., and Don Mefford of Knoxville; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Christian service was held on Saturday, Feb. 24, in the chapel at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville with service officiated by Steve Kukla of Tulsa, Okla. Music was provided by Steve and Bonnie Kukla and poems from Lon's book God's Laws Your Blessings were read.
Burial was in the Lamar cemetery with Aubrey (Buzz) Mefford, Mike Mefford, Dion Henson, Eric Harris, Mark Rinke, and Donald Mefford serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Gillaspie, Ernie Faust, Fred De Aryan and Aaron Hein. Lee Jandebewr from Decatur Valley performed the graveside services. The Lon Mefford Memorial Fund has been established at the Regions Bank in Clarksville, Account Number 807 520 7495.
Colleen M. Lyle
Colleen Mary Vickers Lyle, 71, of Lamar died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at her home.
She was a Christian, member of Trinity Chapel, and daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Ruby Ella Cain Vickers.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Eugene Lyle; four children, Diane Wolff of Wheaton, Minn., Merl Wolff of Lorena, Texas, Brett Wolff of Elkins and Leaon Star of Lamar; four brothers, Mick Vickers of Rapid City, S. D., Patrick Vickers of Wewahitchka, Fla., Larry Vickers of Hermosa, S. D., and Leon Vickers of Claremont, S. D.; one sister, Nancy Gourley of Corwith, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Nolan Lyle, Robin Piott and Angela Lyle; and two step grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Trinity Chapel with Pastor Terry Schlinker and Rev. Paul Payne officiating.
Burial will be in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Tyler Wolff, Tony Star, Trent Star, Jake Erickson, Brett Wolff, and Meryl Wolff.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nolan Lyle, Erick Lyle, Casey Rogers and Chris Ferguson.

Eugene R. Tillman
Eugene R. Tillman, 88, of Clarksville died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at his home.
A native of Paris, he was a son of the late Earnest E. and Emma Jane Cowan Tillman, World War II Army veteran, coal miner, and retired construction employee of the California Naval Base. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Guy Tillman; and one grandchild, Derick Freeman.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Moore Tillman; two daughters, Rita Tillman of Kibler and Pat Arthur of Clarksville; two sons, Allen Tillman of Clarksville and Troy Don Tillman of Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Irene Parks of Paris; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at McVay cemetery in Carbon City. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
