Brian Kelley

Brian Ellis Kelley, 54, of Knoxville died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at his home.

He was a native of North Carolina, son of the late George and Joyce M. Merritt Kelley, senior health physics technician with Entergy Company, and was preceded in death by one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Kelley; three daughters, Sarah Murphy, Renee Davis and Bryna Wester; nine grandchildren; one niece; and numerous nephews.

Arrangements were under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

David Blanscet

David Blanscet, 57, of Altus died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at Fort Smith.

He was a native of Franklin County, son of the late Hiserm and Minnie Davis Blanscet, farm laborer, and was preceded in death by one half-sister, Hazel Blanscet Fielder; and one half-brother, John Blanscet.

Survivors include his former wife, Aline Marie Fey of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Sherry King of Lawton, Okla., and Tina Nauman of Altus; three sisters, Betty Moores of Altus, Shirley Gresham of Ozark and Willie Blanscet of Hartman; one half-sister, Jewell Ray of Orrick, Calif.; one half-brother, Raymond Blanscet of Trustin, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Blanscet cemetery at Altus under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Active pallbearers were Nathan Rosson, Brandon Moores, Billy Perry, Arvin Mainard, Mark McGee and Sam Hill.

Honorary pallbearers were Don Gresham, Frank Grigsby, Josh Kimes, Mike Robinson, Kyle Perry, Everett Brousseau, Rusty Kimes, Jeff Darter, Dennis Wiederkehr, and Jesse Anderson.

Doris G. Covey

Doris G. Covey, 69, of Knoxville died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at her home.

She was a daughter of the late Lambert and Sybil Workman Hamilton and a native of Lepanto.

Survivors include her husband, Connie L. Covey; five daughters, Debra Haston of Ozone, Elizabeth Drudge of Page, Ariz., Rosa Covey of Hope, and Sharon Lenhart and Constance Cornona, both of Glendale, Ariz.; one sister, Cathy Hamilton of Russellville; two brothers, Rickey Hamilton of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Michael Hamilton of Avandale, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial were at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Knoxville cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Mart Anthony

Funeral for Mart Anthony, 83, of Paris, who died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at Paris Health and Rehab Center, was at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at West Side Church of Christ with Dan Lightfoot officiating.

Burial was in Annie's Chapel cemetery with full military honors by Rogers-Rye Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2283. Arrangements were under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.

He was a son of the late Lizzie (Freeman) and Mart Anthony Sr., native of Pottsville, U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, and was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Eickel.

Survivors include four children, Sharon Stover of Arkansas, Jim Anthony and Jolene Karl, both of California, and Toni Anthony of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Jim Anthony, Nicole Anthony, Danielle Barrios, John Barrios, Tracy Valenzuela and Kelly Valenzuela; one great-grandchild, Isaiah Anthony; and five sisters, Rosalee Potter, Helen Roberts, Virginia Thorn, Jean Austin and Betty Beaty.

Rita Mae Bell

Rita Mae Bell, 75, of Hartman died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, in Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of San Bernardino, Calif., daughter of the late George and Phyllis Rich Schmitt, graduate of Shandon (California) High School, widow of Jerry Bell, and member of Hartman Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Jonha Don Bell of Hartman; one sister, Geraldine Bickers of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Danny Schmitt of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ronnie Schmitt of San Louis Obispo, Calif.; two grandchildren, Josh Bell and Sarah Bell, both of Altus; one niece, Cindy Terpening of Oklahoma; two nephews, John Mullins and Danny Ward, both of Oklahoma; and three great-nieces, Anissa Burgess, Stephanie Krencicki and Brandy Huff, all of Oklahoma.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel. The body will be cremated.

Ronald H. Van Buren

Ronald Hickox Van Buren, 79, of Clarksville died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock.

He was a native of Louisville, Ky., son of the late Elmer Eugene and Clara Junker Van Buren, Army veteran of the Korean War, member of the American Legion Bunch Walton Post No. 22, and preceded in death by the mother of his children, Carolyn June Van Buren.

Survivors are his wife, Amelia Moss Van Buren; one daughter, Jeanine Eddleman of Brazoria, Texas; two sons, Wayne Van Buren of Russellville and Rex Van Buren of Friley; three stepdaughters, Sandra Mitchell and Peggy Bradley, both of Plano, Texas, and Ann Hudson of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three stepsons, Randall Coker of Texas and Carl Coker and John Merkelbach, both of Centralia, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The body was cremated.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Alice Carter Wadley

Alice Carter Wadley, 96, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Clarksville Health and Rehab.

She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Robert (Bob) and Ida Mae Perry Carter, widow of Earl M. Wadley, Pentecostal, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Tyner and Ruby Duke; and one brother, Herman Carter.

Survivors include three daughters, Earla Domerese and husband, George, and Carolyn Harvey and husband, Jim, all of Clarksville and Georgia Bean of Mulberry; one son, Eugene Wadley and wife, Pat, of Clarksville; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Margaret Carter of Clarksville; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Schlinker and Rev. Don Alexander officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Domerese, Tim Domerese, Steven Harvey, Michael Bean, Andrew Domerese, and Tyler Johnson.

Argus Lee Hollon

Argus Lee (Ted) Hollon, 84, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at his home.

He was a native of Catalpa, son of the late Albert and Pearl (Clark) Hollon, retired labor employee, and attended New Beginnings Tabernacle in Coal Hill and Jamestown Assembly of God Church in Clarksville.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Vaughn Hollon; five daughters, Virginia Tipton and husband, Bob, of Texas, Sheri Etsell and husband, Rob, of Oklahoma, Amanda Domerese and husband, Bobby, and Andrea Carlton and husband, Jason, all of Coal Hill, and Kristen Grace of Clarksville; four sons, Harold Hollon and wife, Ann, and Bryan Domerese, all of Missouri, Gary Hollon and wife, Kim, of Michigan, and James Harp of the home; stepmother, Delilah Hollon of Clarksville; four sisters, Edna Ramirez of Knoxville, Letha Fleming of California, Floydell Johnston of Oregon and Norma White of Clarksville; one brother, Alvie Hollon of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Oakland Street Full Gospel Church with Rev. David Zeiler, Rev. Robert Boen and Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.

Burial was in Case cemetery at Fallsville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Bobby Domerese, Joseph McCain, Jason Carlton, Bryan Domerese, Tim Hollon, and Jered Hollon.

Honorary pallbearers were Sonny Barron, Pete Williams, Frank Sampley, Jackie Williams, and Billy Paul Roberts.
