Bertha Robbins Hull
Bertha May Robbins Hull, 78, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Tomato, daughter of the late Earl and Ella May Cobb Myrick, and was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hull, and father of the children, Rufus Robbins.
She is survived by one daughter, Dian Meadows of Clarksville; one son, Bobby Robbins of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Christa Hayes and Sky Hamilton, both of Russellville, and Spring Minett and Nathan Meadows, both of Clarksville; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the Clarksville First Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Bridges officiating. The body was cremated. Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Carl D. Yandell
Carl D. Yandell, 77, of Coos Bay, Ore., died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Hugh and Anna L. Mickle Yandell, attended Clarksville schools prior to moving to Oregon in 1949, retired employee of Weyerhaeuser after 26 years of service, served in the Army National Guard, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Trudy Hockema; two brothers, Jack Yandell of Mountain View and Kenneth Yandell of Everett, Wash.; and two sisters, Erma Lee Pitts and Jeffie Ashlock, both of Clarksville.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Yandell; one daughter, Susan Cordry and husband, Tom, of Portland, Ore.; one son, Donald Johnson and wife, Jeri, of North Bend, Ore.; three brothers, Argus Yandell and wife, Loreda, and three children of Coos Bay, Ore.; Archie Yandell and wife, Carol, and four children of Clarksville; and Tommy Yandell and wife, Neva, and two children of Searcy; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at North Bend Chapel with Rev. Gary Rice officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.

Carter Allen Arias
Carter Allen Arias, infant son of Ramon and Bethany Burks Arias of Lamar, was born on Nov. 9, 2009, in Little Rock and died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, in Little Rock.
Other survivors include two sisters, Ava-Ricii Brown of Georgia and Rhylee Arias of Fort Smith; and grandparents, Donnie and Brenda Burks of Subiaco and Steven and Janeen Robinson of Lamar.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
Claude L. Snow
Claude L. Tinsley Edwards Snow, 87, of Van Buren died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at her home.
She was a native of Hartman, former co-owner of Smith Mortuary and Wilbert Vault Company in Charleston, and was preceded in death by her husbands, M. L. (Bill) Edwards and Fred E. Snow; and one son, Ray Edwards.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Young and husband, Garry, of Waldron and Theresa Snow of Riverside, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Kevin and Karen Brown, Athena, Christie and Ray Edwards II, Morgan and Alexandra Young; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rusty Bushong officiating. Burial was at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Donnie and David Clay, Ray Chastain, Chris Brazil and Gary Woodard.

Maddox Cruz Redman
Maddox Cruz Redman, infant son of Lacey Gayle Phillips and Damon Victor Redman of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Other survivors include grandparents, Bruce and Cindy Phillips and Damon and Tiffany Redman, all of Clarksville; and aunts and uncles, Lindy and Chris Tucker of Pottsville, Lakyn and Logan Phillips and Jade, Jazmine and Andre Redman, all of Clarksville.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Stillwell cemetery with Rev. Darrell Bridges and Rev. Jim Goodman officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Art Noel Cline
Art N. Cline, 85, of Hartman passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009, in Fort Smith.
He was born in Hartman and went to school there. After graduation, he started his career in the Army and proudly served his country for 30 years, retiring as a Sergeant Major. During his enlistment, he was a veteran of World War II, Vietnam and Korea. He served numerous tours of duty overseas including Japan, Aleutian Islands and Germany, just to name a few. He received an honorable discharge and was awarded several medals and honors including two Bronze Service Stars, WWII Victory Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal & eight Good Conduct Medals, Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
After retirement, he worked for a local manufacturing company before becoming a rural postal mail carrier in the Hartman community, while also raising livestock. He was also the caretaker of West Mount Zion cemetery for many years. He took great pride in his hometown cemetery, donating his time, services and money to its upkeep and beautification. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and neighbors and would often contribute to causes without anyone, outside of his immediate family, knowing about this. He enjoyed reading books and newspapers, keeping up to date on current events and watching sports on TV, especially the Razorbacks.
Art was preceded in death by his wife, Maria (Bayer) Cline of Reid, Germany, and his parents, Edwin Cline and Vera (Baskin) Cline, both of Hartman.
He is survived by three loving daughters, Roswitha Cline of Fort Smith, Sylvia Dixon and her husband, Ted, of Hilo, Hawaii and Brenda Fillmore and her husband, Ron, of Fowler, Colorado; two granddaughters, Keeley and Raina Fillmore of Fowler, Colorado; one brother, Oscar (Snooks) Cline of Hartman; and a host of beloved friends.
Memorial services will be held at West Mount Zion Methodist Church in Hartman at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, with Rev. Burnett King officiating under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home. Burial will be at Arlington National cemetery in Virginia with full military honors conducted by the Army.
Pallbearers will be Ed Wewers, Steve Stephan, Ben F. Hardgrave, Ben A. Hardgrave, Joe Fowler, and John (Catfish) Rogers.

Ashley Rebecca Holland
Ashley Rebecca Holland, 14, of Lamar died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
She was a home school student and member of Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church, Piney Creek Squirrel Hunters, Arkansas Squirrel Hunters, and Original Mountain Cur Breeders Association.
Survivors include her parents, Dewayne and Cindy Harris Holland of Lamar; one brother, Daniel Holland of Lamar; and grandparents, Bill and Joyce Harris of Dover, George Holland of Clarksville and the late Susan Holland.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dewayne Holland and Rev. Robert Boen officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Vernon cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be James Bernard, Daniel Holland, Justin Hale, Jason Freeman, Kaleb Watson, and Ethan Holt.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Teen Class of Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Cathy McAteer
Cathy (C. J.) McAteer, 67, of Clarksville died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
She was a native of Magnolia, daughter of the late Paul W. and Eunice Dodson Sanders, widow of Cloys McAteer, former resident of Camden, member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, and receptionist at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Survivors include one son, Todd McAteer and wife, Cathy, of Clarksville; one sister, Angela Reaves and husband, Robert, of Joplin, Mo.; one brother, Paul Wayne Sanders and wife, Faye, of Mount Ida; two grandchildren, Katelynn and Kinley McAteer of Clarksville; and special friend, Amos Pledger.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Bass, Charles Simpson, Joe Morell and Greg Sanders officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Ebenezer cemetery in Bluff City under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home of Camden.
Pallbearers include Bailey Pledger, Paul Pledger, Gene Bentz, Chuck Merritt, Ronnie Ashlock, Robert Reaves, Daniel Thomasson, and Jimmy Crain.
