James M. Walker
James Marion Walker, 73, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at his home.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Austin and Beatrice Johnson Walker, graduate of Clarksville High School and the University of the Ozarks, member of First Presbyterian Church, 17-year employee of Bechtel Company with two of those years being spent in Saudi Arabia, trumpeter with the James Walker Band and later with the Foy Howard and the Moonlighters Band, and served in the Arkansas National Guard for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Brotherton Walker; one daughter, Nancy Kern and husband, Leon, of Seneca, S.C.; two sons, Gary Eckert of Minneapolis, Minn., and Paul Eckert and wife, Rachael, of Crystal River, Fla.; one sister, Iris Walker McAnally and husband, Tom, of Conway; grandchildren, Jacob Kern and wife, Nicole, of Jacksonville, Fla., Sarah Kern and husband, Jesse Bonebrake, of Lawrence, Kan., and Travis, Trevar and Cooper Eckert of Crystal River, Fla.; and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Emily and Nathan Kern of Jacksonville, Fla., and Rosemary Bonebrake of Lawrence, Kan.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Marci Ward officiating.
Burial was in West Mount Zion cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Kenneth Williams
Kenneth Williams, 82, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Hoyt and Edith Houston Williams, welder, and member of Belle Grove Masonic Lodge No. 410.
He is survived by one daughter, Carol Stephens of Springdale; three sons, Billy Williams of Clarksville, Charles Williams of Hawaii, and Roger Williams of Knoxville; one brother, Butch Williams of West Fork; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Blair officiating. The body will be cremated.
Paul Moses Riddell
Paul Moses Riddell, 75, of Pelsor died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at London.
He was a native of Mt. Judea, son of the late Willie and Mamie McCaine Riddell, retired employee of Eureka Brick, member of Falling Waters Church at Ben Hur, and was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Linnie Grace Riddell; one sister, Magdline Wheeler; and one brother, Tim Riddell.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Chisum Riddell; one daughter, Betty Steelman of Panama, Okla.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Dona Riddell of Russellville, Tommy and Teresa Riddell of Clarksville, Ray and Patty Riddell of Lamar and Michael and Mary Sue Riddell of London; two stepsons, Stanley and Glen Collins of Ben Hur; three stepdaughters, Jann England of Ben Hur, Winnie Collins of Piercetown, and Anna Belle Hendrix of Witts Springs; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren; and 21 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Falling Waters Church at Ben Hur with Rev. Arnold Humphrey officiating assisted by Bob Chisum.
Burial was in Holman cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Paul Branch, David Branch, Paul Ray Chisum, Linel Humphrey, Windel Humphrey, Jackie Chisum, and Stanley Collins.
Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren and Junior Yancy.
Richard Clayborn
Richard Clayborn, 55, of Altus died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at his home.
A retired lineman and former railroad employee, he was a native of Coal Hill, son of the late Lincoln H. and Anna Mae Black Clayborn, and was preceded in death by one son, Justin Todd Clayborn; and one brother, Jerry Dale Clayborn.
He is survived by one son, Blake Clayborn of Newport Beach, Va.; one brother, Jimmy Clayborn of Rudy; eight sisters, Nina Patrick, Vicki McKinney and Shirley Bly, all of Ozark, Joyce Harris of Wichita Falls, Texas, Sue Marvel of Clarksville, Judy Ingram of Locust Grove, Okla., Jeanie Clayborn of New Boston, Texas, and Tammy Mason of Rogers; and one grandchild.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Rankin cemetery with Rev. Eddie Birdsong officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Sharon L. Phillips
Sharon L. Phillips, 64, of Coal Hill died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at her home.
She was a native of Stockton, Calif., daughter of the late Felix Baldwin, nurses aide, and preceded in death by one brother, Felix (Sonny) Baldwin.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Phillips; one daughter, Vickie Hart-Loftis of Hartman; two sons, Larry Rushing of Alaska and Michael Rushing of Lamar; mother, Marge Baldwin of Wynne; one brother, Ronnie Baldwin of Wynne; and eight grandchildren, Lindsey Rushing, Emily Rushing, Grace Rushing, Cassie Rushing, Caitlin Rushing, Kahless Hamblen, Manda Hamblen, and Faith Loftis.
Crematory arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Steline E. Bell
Steline Elizabeth Bell, 97, of Hartman died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, in Bentonville.
She was a native of Hartman, daughter of the late Joseph and Beulah Ward Leding, widow of Dwight Bell, and member of Spadra Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Anna Jean Ellis and husband, Marvin, of Hartman; two brothers, Dolan Leding and Jake Leding, both of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Denise Baker and Jon Patterson, both of Bella Vista, Treon Goossen of Florissant, Colo., Jo Susan Leverich of Bentonville, Mark Patterson of Cullman, Ala., and Dena Vogelpohl of Faulkville, Ala.; 20 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Dean Goossen officiating. Burial was in Hess cemetery at Coal Hill.
Pallbearers were Jon Patterson, Mark Patterson, Ian Goossen, Sonny Williamson, Tom Williamson, and Allen Baker.
Wilma K. Simpson
Wilma K. Simpson, 85, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Lamar and daughter of the late Asa and Lora Waldo Turner.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Simpson; one son, Donald Bailey and wife, Mary, of Grand Blanc, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Don Bailey and Tony Jacobson.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Bridges officiating. Burial was in Mount Airy cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Frost, Brad Hobbs, Jerry Turner, Lynn Sanders, Irvin Collier, and Richard Rogers.
Bobby Joe Fowler
Bobby Joe Fowler, 81, of Hartman died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Joe and Polly Winters Fowler, Air Force World War II veteran, member of Hartman Methodist Church, Coal Hill Masonic Lodge No. 383, Clarksville Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans, Coal Hill VFW Post 8532, and Local No. 10 of Asbestos Workers, and preceded in death by one son, Neal Fowler.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Fannie Stallings Fowler; one daughter, Connie McGill and husband, Tom, of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Sherry Fowler of Hartman; one sister, Lorene Brooks of Hartman; and three grandchildren, Jared Humphrey of Fayetteville and Joseph Fowler and Michelle Fowler, both of Hartman.
Private graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at West Mount Zion cemetery with Rev. Regina Turner officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
