Peggy L. Hampton
Peggy Lynn Robinson Hampton, 52, of Harrison, daughter of Gussie Phillips of Clarksville, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010.
She was a daughter of the late Norman Robinson, attended Crossroads Community Church, employee of FedEx, attended Deer High School, graduated from North Arkansas College in 2000, and was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Robinson; and one brother, Bill Williams.
Other survivors include her husband of 35 years, Lester Hampton; one daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Todd Malone of Harrison; one son, Stanley Hampton and fiancé, Monica Carlton, of Harrison; three sisters, Alice Gilbert of Houston, Texas, Suzanne Casey of Clarksville, and Georgia Adams and husband, Bill, of Harrison; and two brothers, John and wife, Marilyln Bowman, of Hartwell, Ga., and James and wife, Karen Robinson, of Tacoma, Wash.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Crossroads Community Church with Rev. Johnny Walters, Rev. Robert Boen, and Rev. Paul Braschler officiating.
Burial will be in Coleman cemetery at Pelsor under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
Active pallbearers will be Tobb Gilbert, Rick Cross, Randy Teltow, Roger Hampton, Spanky Woods, Jeff Adams, Mike Adams, and Kenny Gilley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Cathy Clary, FedEx family, Crossroads Community Church family, Jeff Minor, 76er's classmates, Dawn Whiteside, and staff at Hospice of the Hills.
Rev. Archie W. Wheeler
Rev. Archie W. Wheeler, 100, of Conway, formerly of Clarksville, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at Greenbrier.
A native of Alix, he was a son of the late Fred and Mary McCleary Wheeler, retired coal miner, Army veteran of World War II, wounded in Germany and a Purple Heart recipient. He served as minister at several Baptist churches including East Mount Zion, Woodland, Spadra, and Union Grove and was a member of Harlan Park Baptist Church at Conway. He was employed at the Fair Store in Clarksville as a clerk and later as manager for several years, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Barnett Wheeler; and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Velma Albat of Conway, Mary Ann Plumlee and husband, Hugh, of Berryville, and Linda Jetton of Russellville; one sister, Polly Key of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Karen Doss of Farmington, Alan Plumlee of Harrison, Erich Albat and Vickie Gibson, both of Conway, and Tony Jetton of Russellville; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Erich Albat officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland cemetery at Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be West Doss, Jacob Doss, Gary Gibson, Alan Plumlee, Tony Jetton and Erich Albat.

Signa Lessley
Signa Mae Lessley, 96, of Lamar died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Lamar.
She was a native of Hunt, daughter of the late John and Frankie Jaggers Shamblin, former resident of Ozark, member of Webb City Baptist Church, widow of Rufus (Boots) Lessley, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Vaughn and Vincent Shamblin.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lynne Follis of Ozark; one brother, Pat Shamblin of California; three grandchildren, Leslie King of Jonesboro, Lisa Saxon of LaVon, Texas, and Laynie Veitch of Leonard, Mich.; and one great-grandchild, Stacy Saxon of Wilson, N.C.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Highland cemetery at Ozark with Rev. Chuck Gililland officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Shamblin, Jimmy and Larry Lessley, and Dale Overbey.

Debra Lynn Elms
Debra Lynn Elms, 47, of Coal Hill died Friday, May 7, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Eloy, Ariz., daughter of the late James and Alice O'brian O'dell, member of Hartman Volunteer Fire Department, and was preceded in death by two brothers, James O'dell and David Hughes; and one uncle, Jimmy O'brian.
Survivors include her children, Stacy Elms of Russellville, Jeannie Elms of Clarksville, David Elms and wife, Barbara, of Paris, and Brian Elms of Coal Hill; one brother, Randy Hughes of the Spadra Community; three sisters, Charolette Satterfield of Coal Hill, Susan McConnell of Arizona, and Angie Helms of Hartman; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle. Graveside memorial services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Macedonia cemetery in Danville.
Elizabeth J. Morrow
Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Morrow, 69, of Clarksville died Friday, May 7, 2010, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
She was a daughter of the late Erich and Ada Hamilton Albat, widow of Willis Dean Morrow, member of River Valley Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by one brother, Erich Albat.
She is survived by two daughters, Lorri Spencer and husband, John, of Ohio, and Beth Morrow of Clarksville; two sons, Lee Morrow and wife, Debbie, and Erich Morrow, all of Ozone; stepmother, Roberta Albat; one sister, Glenda Marvel and husband, Larry, of Coal Hill; two brothers, Alex (Butch) Marshall of Illinois and Jim Albat and wife, Enid, of Coal Hill; one stepbrother, James Ervin Hampton and wife, Lisa; 11 grandchildren, David Morrow and wife, Lisa, Zachary Mabe and wife, Amber, Tiffany Hermosillo and husband, Jorge, Terri Morrow-Staggs, Joseph Sutliff and wife, Sara, Laurie Miller and husband, Allen, Ryan Morrow, Nikki Gray, Brooklynn Morrow, Laini Havener and Andrew Morrow; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Kuonen officiating. Burial was in Hess cemetery at Coal Hill.

Hershel E. Raburn
Hershel Elijah Raburn, 77, of Clarksville died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Clarksville.
He was a son of the late Elijah and Jeannie Sanders Raburn, U. S. Army veteran, member and board member of Westside Full Gospel Church, automobile mechanic, and was preceded in death by one son, Mark Raburn; and two sisters, Effie Powers and Sue Poniski.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Raburn; three sons, David Raburn and wife, Lisa, of Clarksville, James Raburn and wife, Karen, of Lamar, and Danny Raburn and wife, Dian, of Coal Hill; one sister, Susan Hacker of Athens, Tenn.; one brother, Charles Raburn of Cleveland, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at Westside Full Gospel Church with Rev. J.W. McEntyre officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

James Eugene Gingerich
James Eugene Gingerich, 87, of Stuttgart, father of Nomie (Bob) Fraser of Clarksville, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Allison Gingerich; two other children, Joy (Rick) Graham of Vicksburg, Miss., and J.D. (Janet) Gingerich of Conway; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was a native of Stuttgart, son of the late Herman and Sue Gingerich, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Gilbert and Charles. He was a 1941 graduate of Stuttgart High School and received a bachelor's degree and master's degree from Henderson State University. He retired in 1983 after serving 36 years as a classroom teacher, band director and middle school and elementary school principal and was honored by the Stuttgart Public School system by renaming an elementary school as “Gingerich Elementary.” He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a naval aviator communications officer as part of Squadron PB-207 engaged in enemy submarine patrol in the Atlantic, life-long member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church where he was choir director for 27 years, and served in local, regional and international missions and was named by the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce as Volunteer Citizen of the Year.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m.Wednesday, May 12, at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Stuttgart with burial following in Lone Tree cemetery under the direction of Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie or a charity of the donor's choice.
