Virginia Emaline Stidham
Virginia Emaline Stidham, age 58, of Bradley, Arkansas died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at her home. She was a member of the Bradley Baptist Church. Miss Stidham was born May 8, 1945 in Bradley.
Survivors include: one brother, Glynn Newton of Lewisville, AR; two sisters, Jessie Caskey and Edith Jones, both of Taylor, AR; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Bradley Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Burkhalter officiating and burial in the Walnut Hill Cemetery under the directino of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Jearlene Ward
Jearlene Ward, age 65, of Stamps, Arkansas died Sunday, April 25, 2004 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1938. She attended Lafayette County Training School, was a member of Green ville Baptist Church in Stamps, and was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert Wyrick of Stamps and Alec Nathaniel of Warsaw, NC; two daughters, Robbie Easter and Sonia Easter, both of Stamps; sisters, Christeen Ward Mitchell of Milwaukee, WI and Linda Cooper of Emerson, AR; brothers, Elder Melvin Ward, Calvin Ward, John Ward, and Wilson Ward, all of Stamps and Arvester Ward of Tyler, TX.
Services were held at 2:30 pm on May 1, 2004 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Rev. James F. Williams officiating.
Ricky Lynn Lee
Ricky Lynn Lee, age 52, of Taylor, Arkansas died Thursday, April 22, 2004 in Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, LA. He was born December 7, 1951 in Springhill, LA. Mr. Lee was a retired employee of the Alan White Company in Stamps, Arkansas and was preceded in death by his parents, Lyndon C. Lee and Birdie Mae Smith Lee, and was a Baptist.
He is survived by: two brothers & sisters-in-law, James & Paula Lee of Shreveport, LA and Kenneth & Vickie Lee of Shongaloo, LA; one sister, Mollie Arno of Picou Maurepof, LA; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at The Stateline Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Pickard officiating and burial in Stateline Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Harlia Marie Ward Cox
Harlia Marie Ward Cox, age 62, of Falcon, Arkansas died Thursday, April 22, 2004 at The St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, TX. She was born October 4, 1941 in Waldo, AR. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Lois Ward and by a brother, Rodger Ward.
She is survived by: her husband, Arval Cox of Falcon; three daughters, Rhonda Ramirez of Pittsburg, TX and Millie Knight and Gina Baker, both of Falcon; two sisters, LaDon Jester of Kirby, AR and Pam Jones of Bastrop, LA; one grandson, seven granddaughters, and one great granddaughter.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at The Falcon Cemetery with Mickey May officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Virginia Ann Beasley Baker
Virginia Ann Beasley Baker, age 66, of Bentonville, Arkansas formerly of Stamps, Arkansas died Monday, April 19, 2004 at her home after a long illness. She was born October 4, 1937 in Hope, Arkansas.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker, a member of The Central United Methodist Church, member of God's Daughters of Rogers, Arkansas and a former member of The First United Methodist Church in Stamps where she taught Sunday School. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Dixon & Sidgel Beasley; brother, Dixon Beasly, Jr.; and by a sister, Dixie Beasley Weaver.
She is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Wilson Baker of Bentonville; son, Wilson Baker, Jr., of Louisville, KY; daughter, Beverly Baker of Fayetteville, AR; grandson, Mitchell of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at The Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with burial in Sardis Cemetery in Stamps under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
James Raymond Lee
James Raymond Lee, age 51, passed away Friday, April 16, 2004 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital after a long illness. He was born May 26, 1952 in Lewisville, Arkansas to James and Billie Ruth Stewart Lee. He was a retired Fire Chief with the Lewisville Fire Department, a member of the Lewisville Church of Christ, and a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann Lee of Lewisville; his mother, Billie Ruth Lee of Lewisville; one son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Tara Turner of Killeen, TX; two daughters, Amy and Jeff Sooter of Springhill, AR and Alethia Szymurski of Pennsylvania; one brother, Russell Lee of Magnolia, AR; three sisters, Gail Huer of Deleware, Lynn Aldridge of Magnolia, and Mary Margaret Short of Lewisville; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 19, 2004 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Bailey officiating and burial in the Shiloh Cemetery in Stamps.
James Edward Berry
James Edward Berry, age 79, of Lewisville, Arkansas died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 in St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. He was born December 1, 1924 in East Mountain, Texas. Mr. Berry was an Oil Production Superintendent with Petro Chem, a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran and was preceded in death by his parents, William Isaac and Maggie Moore Berry and by a brother, John W. Berry.
He is survived by: his wife, Earlene Sumners Berry of Lewisville; one daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Dennis Ramsey of Hope, AR; two sons & daughters-in-law, Jerry & Debra Berry of Lewisville and Larry & Jana Berry of Texarkana, AR; two sisters, Naomi Knight of Marble Falls, TX and Ruth Frost of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, Troy Berry & wife Pat of Ft. Worth, TX and Billy Berry of Nevada; seven grandchildren, Gretchan Jennings & husband Corey, Gray Ramsey, Ryan Berry, Layne Berry, Bryce Berry, Brett Berry, and Taylor Berry; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps with Rev. Russell Bailey and Rev. Ryan Berry officiating and burial in The Wilson Cemetery at Lewisville under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stmaps.
William Johnson, Jr.
William Johnson, Jr., age 62, of Stamps, Arkansas died Friday, April 9, 2004 at his residence. He ws born November 29, 1941 in Buckner, Arkansas. Mr. Johnson graduated from school in Stamps and was a member of St. John Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Johnson, Sr. and Beulah Briggs Johnson, and one sister.
Survivors include: one son, Charles Ricardo Johnson of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Sonia Burdett of Dallas; one sister, Virgie Washington of Shreveport, LA.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 16, 2004 at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps with Rev. Cartrie Washington, Sr. officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Pamila Renee Burton
Pamila Renee Burton, age 51, of Lewisville, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at her residence. She was born April 4, 1954 in Seminole, OK. Mrs. Burton was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Lewisville and a loyal Oklahoma Sooner fan.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Burton of Lewisville, AR.; Two Step-Sons, Dylan Burton of Wakasa, Japan and Darrell Burton of Lewisville, AR.; Daughter, Jacey Walker of Stamps, AR.; Brother and Sister-in-law, Melvin & Alice Craig of Caddo, OK.; Sister, Jeanetta Gains of Texarkana, AR.; A Very Special Aunt, Lois Bender of Seminole,.OK; Very Special Grandson, Ethan Walker; Very Special Granddaughter, Lauren Spakes.
