MARJORIE LOUISE HUDNALL
Marjorie Louise Hudnall, age 92, of Magnolia, Arkansas, formerly of Taylor, Arkansas, passed away on December 23, 2012, in Magnolia, AR.
Ms. Hudnall was born December 3, 1920, in Taylor, AR, to Dr. E.T. Hudnall and Emma Everett Hudnall. She was a member of Taylor United Methodist Church, she loved to read the Bible, western novels, and she loved her animals.
Ms. Hudnall was preceded in death by her parents; brother Winston H. Hudnall; sister, Mildred Hughes, and a niece, Monteen Haynes.
Ms. Hudnall is survived by a nephew, Edward Hudnall and wife, Mary of Bryant, AR; two nieces, Elaine O’Daniel and husband, James of Plain Dealing, LA; and Wynnelle Morgan and husband, Randall of El Dorado, AR; nine nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 10 am to service time Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Taylor Methodist Church and the
Funeral service will be held at 11 am with Bro. Spencer Plumley officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR, with interment following in Sharman Cemetery.
Ms. Zepher Simington
Ms. Zepher Simington, 86, of Doddridge, AR passed away December 23rd at St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, TX
She was born November 13, 1926 in Kiblah, AR to Norman and Beatrice Abraham. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Doddridge, AR. She attended school in Kiblah, AR and she was a part of the first class to graduate from Kiblah High. She taught school in Tallulah, LA.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, husband: Leon Simington, Sr., (1)son: Leon Simington, Jr., (3)brothers, (1)sister, and a host of aunts and uncles.
Survivors include: (1)daughter: Trudie Simington(Kiblah, AR); (3)sons: Starlin Simington, Sr.(Texarkana, AR), Dennis Simington & Henry Simington both of Ida, LA; 16-Grandchildren, 28-Great Grandchildren, 2-Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28th at 11:am at New Hope Baptist Church in Doddridge, AR with burial following in the church cemetery.
Under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
Officiating will be Rev. Reginald Reid.
The body will lie in state Friday 10:am-until service time at the church.
Mr. Robert Hector
Mr. Robert Hector, Sr., 76, of Garland City, AR passed away December 29th at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, TX
He was born November 4, 1936 in the Lost Prairie Community in Arkansas to John Hector & Daisy Page-Hector.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, two brothers, and two children.
Survivors include: wife: Dora Mae Hector(Garland City, AR); (2)sons: Robert Hector, Jr. & Preston LaMay both of Garland City, AR; (4)daughters: Mrs. Linda Davis(Garland City, AR), Mrs. Alice Miller & Mrs. Barbara Blair both of Texarkana, AR, and Mrs. Brenda Reid(Texarkana, TX); 13-Grandchildren & 12-Great Grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5th, at 1:pm at Mt. Grove Baptist Church in Texarkana, AR with burial following in the Wynn Cemetery in Garland City, AR.
Under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, AR.
Officiating will be Pastor Reginald G. Reid.
Visitation will be Friday 12:noon-5:pm at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
MARY LEE ORMAND WILLIAMS
Mary Lee Ormand Williams, age 89, went to her eternal home in Heaven on Wednesday evening, December 26, 2012. She had resided at Homestead Manor in Stamps, Arkansas, since 2009. Mrs. Williams was born June 9, 1923, to Andy “Lee” Ormand and Mattie Bell Rader Ormand. She attended Falcon School in Falcon, Arkansas. Mrs. Williams married Dale Henry Williams in 1941. They moved back to Buckner, Arkansas, in 1953 and moved to Lewisville, Arkansas in 1960. Mrs. Williams was employed by Lafayette County Hospital and was later elected to serve as City Clerk for the City of Lewisville where she served until she retired. Mr. Williams became employed for A.O. Smith Funeral Homes until retirement. Mrs. Williams was a member of First Baptist Church of Buckner, Arkansas, but failing health prevented her attendance for several years.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, infant, J.D. Ormand and Ottice Ormand; two sisters, Ila “Faye” Nichols and Trudy Bell Force; son-in-law, Richard “Dickie” Tatom; brothers-in-law; sister-in-law; and two nephews.
She is survived by two daughters; Glenda Tatom of Stamps, AR, and Judy Kay Lunsford and husband, Johnny, of Rowell, AR; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR, with Bro. Andy Hawkins and Bro. Charlie Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, AR. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR.

ERNEST J. “BUDDY” DILLARD, JR.
Ernest J. “Buddy” Dillard, Jr., of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away on January 1, 2013, in St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. He was born December 7, 1923, near Farmerville, Louisiana. Mr. Dillard was one of seven children of E.J. “Pat” Dillard and Lena B. Dillard. He was a cattleman and farmer along the Red River near Canfield, Arkansas. He enjoyed raising rice, wheat and cattle and liked a good cow dog and good horse. Mr. Dillard was a former director of the Maniece Bayou drainage district, and also a Masonic Lodge member of the Farmerville Lodge for sixty-three years. He was a WWII veteran and a member of Bradley Baptist Church.
Mr. Dillard was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and five brother-in-laws, Harry and Mattie Dillard Hill of Bryn Mawr, PA; Joe and Elnor Dillard McDonald of Long Beach, CA; Dalton and Ruth Dillard Smith of Choudrant, LA; Kenneth Oliver, Sr. of El Dorado, AR; and Felix Holder, Sr. of Shreveport, LA; and one brother and sister-in-law, Roy, Sr. and Anna Lee Dillard of Shreveport, LA.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Ida Mae Dillard of Lewisville, AR; three sons, Dan B. Dillard of Lewisville, AR; David E. Dillard of Lewisville, AR; and John P. “Pat” Dillard and wife, Sue Ellen of El Dorado, AR; daughter, Janet Dillard Wallace and husband, Kenny of Haughton, LA; two sisters, Helen Oliver of El Dorado, AR, and Betty Sue Holder of Shreveport, LA; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Friday, January 4, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR, with Bro. Charles Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bradley, AR. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday, January 3, 2012, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR.
Ms. Alline H. Russ
Ms. Alline H. Russ, 95, of McNeil, AR passed away January 1st at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, AR.
She was born June 9, 1917 in Plain Dealing, LA to Rev. John & Anna Blackshire-Harris. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Mission, Sunday School and the Choir. She was the recipient of the “Outstanding Citizen’s Award” from the State of Arkansas House of Representative and the Bethany Baptist Church Black History Award.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, husband: Hubert Russ, (26)siblings, and son: Lloyd Russ.
Survivors include: (1)son: Wendell Russ(Magnolia, AR); 3-granddaughters, 6-great grandchildren, 6-great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12th, at 11:am at Bethany Baptist Church in McNeil, AR with burial following in the Macedonia Cemetery in McNeil, AR
