Mr. Fred Threadgill
Mr. Fred Threadgill, 93,of Magnolia, AR passed away March 9th at Magnolia Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 16, 1919 in Magnolia, AR. To Lee and Liza Threadgill.
He was a avid fisherman and worked as a automobile mechanic for many years until his health failed.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include: Three sons; Emmet keener, Dale, and Fred Threadgill, Jr. all of Magnolia, AR. Seven daughters; Ms. Doris Biddle, Ms. Laura Threadgill, Ms. Joyce Leaks all of Magnolia, AR., Ms. Jewel Garret of Dallas, TX, Ms. Betty Porter of Las Vegas, NV., Ms. Joann Thomas of Pine Bluff, AR., Ms. Mary Lee Rone of Los Angeles, CA. Thirty-One Grandchildren and Forty-Seven great-Grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16th at 2:30 pm at Free Union Baptist Church in Magnolia with burial following in the St. Luke Cemetery in Magnolia, AR.
Under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
Officiating will be Rev. L.E. Burns

HAROLD RAYMOND “JACK” BRYAN
Harold Raymond “Jack” Bryan, age 93, of Taylor, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013. Mr. Bryan was born June 4, 1919, in Bussey, Arkansas, to Anderson and Mary Rose Bryan. He had a love for animals.
Mr. Bryan was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maxine Jennings Bryan; son, Harold Raymond (Ray) Bryan, Jr.; two brothers; two sisters; and grandson, Matthew Daniel Bryan.
He is survived by sons, Jackie Bryan and wife, Cynthia of Farmerville, LA; and Sandy Bryan and wife, Kris of El Dorado, AR; daughter, Debbie Whitehead and husband, Mike of Taylor, AR; daughter-in-law, Carol Bryan of Montana; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Saturday, March 2, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Taylor, AR, with Bro. Jerry Evans, Bro. Jonathan Montgomery, Bro. Joe Stacks, and Bro. Randy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Taylor under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, March 1, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Taylor.
JESSE PAUL BEENE, JR.
Jesse Paul Beene, Jr., age 68, of Stamps, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Mr. Beene was born on March 26, 1944, in Stamps, Arkansas. He was a Missionary Baptist Minister for thirty-three years and a member of Stamps Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Beene was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Roton Beene Harrison; step father, Alvin Harrison; sisters, Ruth Elmore; Mary Smith; and Ester Baker.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Brenda Beene of Stamps, AR; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Chad McMahen of Stamps, AR; and Lori and Eddie Robinson of Moss Bluff, LA; three grandsons, Kelby, Brady, and Dusty Robinson of Moss Bluff, LA; two great granddaughters, Makayla and Hayleigh Robinson of Stamps, AR; two sisters, Daisy Dudley of Lake Erling, AR; and Barbara Garrett of Texarkana, AR; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Friday, January 11, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR, with Bro. John Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Stamps, AR. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR.
Royce Berry Powell
Royce Berry Powell, age 72, of Doddridge, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013. Mr. Powell was born December 12, 1940, in Hope, Arkansas to Charlie and Laura Powell.
Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Betty Powell of Doddridge, AR; three sons, Royce E. Powell of Bloomburg, TX; Patrick R. Powell of Texarkana, TX; and Anthony D. Powell of Doddridge, AR; two daughters, Elizabeth Hatos of Doddridge, AR; and Juanita Coleman of Old Washington, AR; aunt, Williemay Pritchett of Texarkana, TX; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR, with Bro. Jeffery Hatos officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Patmos, AR. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR.
CHARLES W. FITZGERALD
CMSgt. Charles Wayne Fitzgerald, age 78, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Charles was born February 27, 1935, in Walker Creek, AR, to Sam and Rosie Lee Fitzgerald. He was a graduate of Bradley High School and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force where he served thirty-one years. Charles loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Charles “Chuckie” W. Fitzgerald, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Darlene Goos Fitzgerald; son, Samuel M. Fitzgerald and wife, Ksenia of Seminole, FL; daughters, Andrea Stratton and husband, Paul of Genoa, AR; and Jennifer Smithson and husband, Ron of Texarkana, AR; grandchildren, Jereme, Jessica, Joshua, and Jacob Kennington; Yelisey and Serafim Fitzgerald; and Cory, Tara and “Big” John Smithson; and five great grandchildren, Hannah and Lilly Kennington; Brettan and Bryar Penny; and Ayden Kennington.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR, with Bro. Bill Saxby officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lewisville, AR. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
Mr. Fred Peterson
Mr. Fred Peterson, 68, of Lewisville, AR passed away March 17th at his residence in Lewisville.
He was born October 3, 1944 in Lewisville, AR to Richard & Bertha Peterson. He was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Lewisville, AR and was employed with Partee Mill Company for over thirty years.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, (7) sisters, and (5) brothers.
Survivors include: (3)sons: Ricky & Ben Peterson both of Indianapolis, IND, and Freddrick Peterson(Hope, AR); (1)daughter: Ms. Neice Peterson(Indianapolis, IND); (2)sisters: Mrs. Bernice Ruiz(Stamps, AR) & Ms. Mary Lee Jones(Lewisville); (2)brothers: Tony & Bobby Peterson both of Lewisville; 1 Grandchild; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 11:am at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with burial following in the Boyd Hill Cemetery in Lewisville, AR

Mr. Henry Lee “Fuzz” Johnson, 70, of Tollette, AR passed away March 31st at his residence in Tollette, AR.
He was born March 7, 1943 in Howard County, AR to Charles Henry Johnson & Maple D. Keel-Vaughn. He was a retiree with Tyson Foods.
He is preceded in death by: his parents and step father: Joe L. Vaughn
