Infant Isaiah Keyshun Henderson-Keener
Infant Isaiah Keyshun Henderson-Keener of Magnolia, AR passed away March 22nd at Magnolia Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 22, 2013 to DeMarcus Keener & Keosha Henderson.
Survivors include: his parents: DaMarcus Keener & Keosha Henderson both of Magnolia; Maternal grandparents: David & KoKisha Henderson; Paternal grandparents: Marcus Keener & Becky Thomas; Great Grandparents: Armer Paschal, Rickey Williams, David & Patricia Henderson, and Larry & Willie Mae Hardin; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 25th, at 2:pm at New Hope Cemetery in Emerson, AR
Under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
Officiating will be Rev. Al Brewer.
Mr. Leavester Stuart
Mr. Leavester Stuart, 57, of Hope, AR passed away March 31st at his residence in Hope, AR.
He was born January 22, 1956 in Hope, AR to L.C. Stuart & Estella Polite-Nelson.
Survivors include: (3)daughters: Ms. Reshonda Stuart, Ms. Nichole Stuart, & Ms. Jackie Stuart; (1)son: Brandy Stuart; mother: Mrs. Estella Nelson; (3)sisters: Ms. Mary Burton, Ms. Shirley Green, & Ms. May Bell Beasley; (1)brother: Robert West, Jr.; (3) Step Children, a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and an uncle.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6th at 11:am at Washington Temple Church of God In Christ in Hope, AR with burial following in the Cave Hill #2 Cemetery in Hope, AR.
Under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
Officiating will be Pastor Hazel Washington.
Visitation will be Friday 11:am-4:pm at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR.
The body will lie in state Saturday 1:pm-until service time at the church.
JOHN B. CLARDY
John B. Clardy, age 78, of Largo, Florida, passed away March 24, 2013. John is survived by his loving wife, Martha Jackson Clardy; daughters, Lisa Clardy of Largo, Florida and Anita Clardy of Denver, Colorado.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
A Memorial Service will be held in Largo, Florida, Saturday April 13, 2013, at 2 pm in the Anona United Methodist Church.
The family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
RJ Coke
RJ Coke of Bussey, AR departed for home on April 5, 2013. He came into this world on October 23, 1926 to Jasper Henry and Dorothy ViEtta Coke.
RJ made his early fame on the basketball court for Loctus Bayou high school, but his basketball career was cut short when he was drafted to serve in the United States Army during World War II.
Upon returning from his military stay in Korea RJ’s life took a dramatic turn.
He met his wife of almost 65 years, Lena Pearl Owen Coke in Fordyce, AR. The young couple started a family in the oil fields of west Texas.
RJ returned to Arkansas to build his family a house in 1959 that is now the family home. RJ worked for International Paper Company as a main gate guard until taking an early retirement and establishing Bussey Storm Window and Door, where he provided quality craftsmanship to his loyal customers.
RJ closed his business in 1991 and started doing what he cherished most, being Poppa and the head of the Coke family.
Poppa has now joined the original Coke’s who preceded him in death; his parents, two sisters Faye Traylor and Sally Pate and brother Ray Coke. He leaves to continue watch over his family his wife Pearl. He is survived by two sons; Robert James Coke of Hooks, Texas, Billy Ray Coke and wife Pat of Benton, Arkansas, three daughters; Dorothy Keith and husband Delbert of Bussey, Hope Keene of Bussey, and Latricia Spelce and husband Gary of Bussey, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a long list of people he has influenced along the way. RJ was 86 and lived a full and wonderful life. He was dearly loved by all that knew him. He will be missed, but never forgotten. We love you Daddy, we love you Poppa, we love you chief.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Unity Methodist Church in Taylor (Bussey), Arkansas, with Bro. Gladney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at the Bussey cemetery under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, April 7,2013 at the funeral home in Taylor.
Mrs. Earnestine Green
Mrs. Earnestine “Steeny” Green, 86, of Tollette, AR passed away June 1st at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, AR
She was born December 6, 1926 in Gilliam, LA to Winston Maxwell & Mary Alice Caldwell. She was a member of Mary Thomas Baptist Church in Gilliam, LA and later became a member of Corinth First Missionary Baptist Church in Tollette, AR. She was a nurse for over forty years.
She is preceded in death by: her husband: Willie Green, Sr. and her parents.
Survivors include: (6)children: Deloris Robinson(Ashdown, AR), Willie Green, Jr., Deric Green, Kylerene Gamble, and Glen Dell Green all of Tollette, AR, & Theodore Green(Nashville, AR); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8th at 11:am at Corinth First Missionary Baptist Church in Tollette, AR with burial following in the Crofton Cemetery in Tollette, AR

Mr. Haril Louis Gulley
Mr. Haril Louis “Red” Gulley, Sr., 67, of Prescott, AR passed away June 15th at his residence.
He was born February 12, 1946 in Chidester, AR to Louis Gulley & Effie Mae Grisby-Gulley. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Bluff City, AR where he served as a member of Brotherhood.
He is preceded in death by: his parents and step mother: Mary Gulley
Survivors include: his wife: Mrs. Margaret Gulley; (1)son: Haril Gulley, Jr.(Garland, AR); (2)daughters: Mrs. Michaela Gulley & Mrs. Octavia Gamble both of Prescott, AR; (3)brothers: Lonnie Gulley(Seattle, WA), Willie Lee Stone(Grand Coulee, WA), & Fredrick “Frito” Gulley(Hope, AR); (7)sisters: Mrs. Ella Brown(Little Rock), Mrs. Eloise Hatley(Chidester), Mrs. Addie Bates(St. Louis, MO), Mrs. Alice Lou Beleford(Seattle, WA), Mrs. Thella Stone(Detroit, MI), Mrs. Inez Moreland(Prescott, AR), & Mrs. Mattie Walker(Bluff City, AR); 7-grandchildren and 1-great grandchild and a host of other relatives & friends.
