Woodrow Wilson Utley
Woodrow Wilson Utley of North Little Rock died Feb. 8, 2002, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
He was a veteran of World War II, and retired in 1979 from the Missouri Pacific Railroad after 40 years as a Brakeman and Conductor. He was active in the Scottish Rite Temple in the Valley of Little Rock, where he was most recently honored as a 33 degree Mason. He was a member of the Magnolia Lodge F&AM since 1943.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emma Lou; one daughter, Beverly Harrison; grandchildren; great-grand-children; and one brother, B.J. Utley of Austin.
Funeral was Monday, Feb. 11, at the Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church, North Little Rock. Interment was in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church.
Jesse D. Morris
Jesse D. Morris, age 96, of Scott, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002.
He was a retired carpenter and a Church of Christ by faith.
He is survived by two daughters, Helen Evans of Plainview, and Peggy Reeder of Heber Springs; a brother, Dudley Morris of Memphis; five sisters, Irma Mullens, Winnie Norman, Mollie Tarbutton, Lois Harvey and Ruby Meyers, all of California; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Sunday at Hamilton cemetery, Humnoke.
Mary Moran
Mary Grant Moran, age 75, of Ward died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cabot and was a product demonstrator at Wal-Mart and other local grocery stores.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Edwin C. Moran of Ward; two daughters, Donna F. Tarver of Orange, Texas, Andrea White of Cabot; two stepdaughters, Roberta McDonald of Mount Clemens, Mich., Louise Simmons of Cabot; stepsons, Raymond and Gary Moran of Corsicana, Texas; brother, Victor E. Poe of Naples, Fla.; sister, Clara Flory of Jacksonville; two grandsons; 12 step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, Feb. 9, at the First Baptist Church in Cabot. Interment, Monk cemetery. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Mary McAdams
Mary Jane McAdams, 81, of Lonoke died Tuesday.
She was a retired grocery merchant, and a member of the Hayti United Methodist Church, Hayti, Mo.
Survivors: son, Larry McAdams, Little Rock; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, H.R. Euell Jr.; sister, Wanda Cole.
Funeral was Friday at the United Methodist Church in Hayti, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the Hayti United Methodist Church. John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, Mo. in charge. Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery at Hayti.
Viola Nelson
Viola (Billie) Nelson, age 80, of Cabot, went to see the face of her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, Feb. 8, 2002.
Mrs. Nelson was a World War II veteran, where she was a cook in the United States Army.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Nelson.
She is survived by her children, Donna Hamby of Cabot, Zelma Harrison and husband, Leon, of Cabot, Mikki Bolt and husband, Tom of Bossier City, La., and Mike Nelson and wife, JoAnne, of Riverside, Calif.; stepdaughter, Koneta LeVan, and husband, Bill, of Springfield, Ohio; a brother, George Brown of Providence, R.I.; two sisters, Irene Young of St. Louis, Mo., and Deloris Brum of Rehoboth, Mass.; five grandchildren, George Hamby of Cabot, Lisa Hawkins of Kingsport, Tenn., Amy Floyd of Sherwood, Lee Harrison of Cabot, and Stephanie Culpepper of Jacksonville; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at the First Baptist Church in Sherwood. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Forrest Edwin Fisher
Forrest Edwin Fisher, age 48, of Cabot passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dorris Wesley Fisher, and a brother, Sammy C. Fisher.
Survived by his wife, Beverly Fisher of the home; a daughter, Julia Fisher of Cabot; mother, Tera Lee Fisher Copeland of Brinkley; two sisters, Doris Cobb of Little Rock and Niska Hall of Senatobia, Miss.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 12, and services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at the Cabot Funeral Chapel. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Opal Latimer
Opal Hanna Latimer, 88, passed away Aug. 31, 2008. She was born in Naylor, Ark., Oct. 19, 1919, to the late John Manley and Bertha Flippin Hanna.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, John E. Latimer, Jr.; grandson, John M. Latimer; granddaughter, Amanda Lee; brother, Dale Hanna and sister, Ione Stewart.
She is survived by her son, John L. (Pat) Latimer of Heber Springs; daughters, Marolyn Lee and Madeline (Glenn) Simmons of Lonoke; grandson Brooks (Amanda) Lee and great-grandson Evan Lee of Springdale; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Russell of North Little Rock and Faydene Hanna of Arizona, and many other relatives and friends.
She was an active member of the Lonoke United Methodist Church, Agape Circle of UMW and the Lonoke Lioness Club. Her life was lived with focus on her faith, family and friends to whom she gave lovingly and generously.
Although health issues compromised her physically, her light and love sustain us.
Funeral services were held Sept. 3 at Lonoke United Methodist Church. Interment followed at Vilonia cemetery in Vilonia.

Charles Ouzts
Charles Edward Ouzts, 51, of Lonoke, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008. He was born Aug. 25, 1957 in Los Angeles to Charles Ouzts and the late Lillian Ouzts.
He is survived by his father Charles Thurman Ouzts of Lonoke; brothers Larry Ouzts of Lonoke and Ronald Ouzts of Texas; sister Kathy Conner; step-son Ronnie Gene Dillon; two nieces Tonya & Sarah Ouzts; and nephew Charles Richard Ouzts all of Lonoke; along with many other family members and friends.

Charles Goodman II
Charles Everett Goodman II, of Austin, passed away Sept. 5, 2008. He was born April 2, 1935 to the late Charles Everett Goodman I and Helen Marie Temps Nickell.
He is survived by his wife Bettie Mae Fitzgerald Goodman; son and daughter-in-law Charles Everett Goodman, III and Clarissa Goodman; three grandchildren: Chelsea, Ashley and Brandon Goodman, all of Austin; two brothers Calvin E. Hoover (Sharon) of Kansas City, Kansas and Arthur D. Hoover (Sandra) of DeSoto, Kansas; one sister Wilma M. Faletti of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; along with many other family members and friends.
A memorial service was held Sept. 9 at Branch Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church in Branch, Mo., with Kenneth Plank officiating.
