John W. Whiteside
Stephen W. Whiteside
John Wesley Whiteside, 3, and Stephen Wayne Whiteside, 23 months, sons of John and Rachael Whiteside, died April 20, 2005.

In addition to their parents, they are survived by brother, Jacob Ryan Glover of Carlisle; sisters, Jada Bell of Danville and Hollie Jackson of Stuttgart; grandparents, Mary and Joe Craig of Altheimer, Tresha and Chet Dickey of Stuttgart, Wayne Whiteside of Texas, and Johnny Dorman of Greenville, MS; their great-grandparents, Mary and Eugene Esquivel of Altheimer, and Vernon and Josie Campbell of Charleston, MS.

Funeral services were held May 2 at Turpin Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in the Flat Bayou cemetery near Altheimer.

David Turney
David Turney, 55, of Lonoke, died April 29, 2005.
Survivors are his wife, Dianne Turney of Lonoke; daughters, Vickie Cornwell of Utah, and Angie Brown of Redfield; sons, David Turney ,Jr., of Texas, and Jay Yarbrough of Pine Bluff; mother, Esther Turney of North Little Rock; brother, Leland Turney of Cabot; sisters, Betty Loyd of Mayflower, Phyllis Conrad of Cabot, and Bridgett Payne of California; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 2 at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Carol Moorehead
Carol “Annie” Moorehead, 56, of Aberdeen, died May 1, 2005.
She was a lifetime resident of Aberdeen and a member of the First Baptist Church of Aberdeen.

She is survived by her sons, Scott Moorehead, Jerry Moorehead and Tony Moorehead all of Aberdeen; brothers, Alfred “Bubba” Crosson of Ardmore, TN, and Ritchy Crosson of Carlisle; sisters, Joyce Hays of Brighton, IL, Mildred Cassidy of Milford, OH, and Lucille Graves of Sardinia, OH; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wed., May 4, at the First Baptist Church of Aberdeen.

Burial will follow in Roc Roe cemetery in Aberdeen. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or donors choice.
Charles Carnation, Jr.

Charles Robert Carnation, Jr., 84, of Conway, died April 30, 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Neathery Carnation; daughters, Susan Carnation of Little Rock and Viki Carnation of Plano, TX; sons, Charles Carnation, III of Cabot, Gene Carnation of Tyler, TX, and Alan Carnation of Mount Vernon, TX; stepson, Chip Hager of Conway; and eight grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held May 3 at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Marjorie Smallwood
Marjorie Eason Smallwood, 64, of Hot Springs Village, died May 1, 2005.

She was a member of the Fort Worth Social Directory and of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Steve Smallwood of Hot Springs Village; children, Larry A. Mayhan, Jr., of Hurst, TX, Cheryl Galindo of Fort Worth, TX, James E. Norman of Denton, TX, and Jennifer Norman Haecker of Forth Worth, TX; 10 grandchildren; sisters, May Hicks of Lonoke, Edith Burleson of Little Rock, Katherine Burleson of Pine Bluff, Virginia Harness of Bigelow, Juanita Busbice of Grapevine, TX, Anna Turner, of Little Rock, and Dorothy Myers of Scott.

There will be two funeral services, one in Arkansas and one in Texas. Funeral services in Arkansas will be 10:30 a.m., Wed., May 4, at Mt. Zion Methodist Church followed by burial in Hicks cemetery.
A memorial service in Texas will be held at 2 p.m., Fri., May 6, at Summerfields Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice.

Rachel Marie Paul
Rachel Marie Paul, age 21, of Texarkana, formerly of Cabot, died March 29, 2005, after several liver transplant surgeries. She was a 2001 graduate from Cabot High School. Rachel was a volunteer cheerleader coach for Cabot Youth Pee Wee football for three years. She loved Taekwondo and was a 2nd degree black belt. She also loved competing. Shewas one of the first of a few African American female members of the Cabot Panther Track team.

Survivors include her mother, Stephanie Ann Paul of the home; sister Crystal Caldwell.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. April 16, 2005 at Living Waters Church in Cabot with Rev. James Charlton officiating.
Memorials may be made to Twice Blessed, 2732 Gaston Ave., Suite 119 in Dallas, Texas 75246. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, Cabot.

Wayndlle Moore
Wayndlle “Lee” Leon Moore, age 67, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service. He was a Purple Heart recipient and received the Staff Service Medal from the Republic of Vietnam. After retirement, he worked as a police officer for the cities of Jacksonville and Sherwood. He was a member of VFW Post 4548.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Moore; children, Gina Gray of Tupelo, Miss., Terri Bennett of Jacksonville, Patrick Moore of Salinas, Calif., Shawna McNeil of Cabot, Chad Moore of Cabot; sister, Sarah Demlow of Dallas, Texas, brother, Gary Moore of Garland, Texas; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graaveside services were Thursday, April 7, 2005 in Chapel Hill Memorial Park cemetery in Jacksonville. Arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Nicholas Pehosh
Nicholas Pehosh of Ward, Arkansas, was born August 21, 1920, in Mayfield, Pennsylvania and died April 7, 2005. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer.

His survivors include his only son, Michael Pehosh and wife Joan of Potomac Falls, Virginia; grandchildren Brett Pehosh and wife Stacey of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Dr. Lisa Martin and husband Scott of Dallas, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Jacob and Isaiah Martin; brothers-in-law Charles George and wife Rose of Cabot, Arkansas and Joe Yaworske of Mayfield, Pennsylvania; numerous nieces and nephews, Alan Yaworske, Melanie Wychowanec, Susan O’Brien, Jacquelyn Cottrell, Connie Reed and Charles Lynn George.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred (Mickey) Pehosh; brothers John and Michael Pehosh and sister Olga Yaworske.

Linda Jenkins
Linda Jenkins, 64, died April 10, 2005.
She is survived by her husband Robert Jenkins; one son, Amos Owen Jenkins of Lonoke; daughter, Robbie Wakefield of Carlisle; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, T.O. Ford, Jr. of Lonoke, William Ford of Arizona and Daniel Ford of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Josephine Cotton and Joyce Marie Bevil of Helena and Betty Jean Reynolds of Texas.

Graveside services were Wednesday at Old Carlisle cemetery, arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Thomas B. Gentry
Thomas Berry Gentry, age 74, died April 6, 2005.
He is survived by his children, Lynn, Mary Gay, Judy Kay and Steve; sisters, Hazel Akins and Verna Campbell of Lonoke and grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke with interment in Lonoke cemetery.

Vera T. Taylor
Vera T. Taylor, 66, of Beebe, died April 6, 2005.
She is survived by three daughters, Rita Owens of Beebe, Libby Gosvener of Jacksonville and Teresa Weston of Cabot; three sons, Micheal Douglas of Beebe, Arnold Taylor of Beebe and Audie Taylor of Beebe; sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Garringer of Anderson, Ind.; one brother, Billy Thompson of Michigan.

Funeral was Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Carmel cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Bobby Raper, Jimmy Owens, Jr., Paul Owens, Joseph Taylor, Dallas Taylor and Bryan Herrington. Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Goldman, Wesley Taylor and Colton Taylor.

Otis Evans Coffey
Otis Evans Coffey, 87, of Conway died Thursday, April 7, 2005.
She was retired from Franklin Electric Industries of Jacksonville, a member of First United Methodist Church of Conway and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, John of Conway and Larry of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, O.L. Evans of North Little Rock, and Jack Evans of Cabot.

Graveside service was Friday at Old Austin cemetery with the Rev. John R. Collier officiating. Burial was by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
