Shirley Marie Roy
Shirley Marie Norman Roy, 46, of Cabot died Sunday, March 27, 2005.
She is survived by her mother, Joyce Norman; sister, JoAnn Stoots; brother, Robert Norman; four daughters, Jenny Lee of Cabot, Monica Roy, Brandy Rackley and Christine Roy, all of Little Rock; three grandchildren.
Arrangements under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home.
Peggy Ann Pitts
Peggy Ann Pitts, age 66, of Cabot, died March 16, 2005.
Survivors include three daughters: Judy Joyner of Cabot, Linda Chrisman of Hensley and Mary Ann Pitts of Cabot; three grandchildren; three sisters: Geneva McCormick of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lorene Dollar of North Little Rock and Thelma Johnson of Russellville; and one brother Boyce Ragsdale of Dover.
Graveside services were held on Friday, March 18, at Little Rock National cemetery. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service.
Alin Marion Waddill
Alin Marion Waddill, age 81, of Austin died March 19, 2005. Mr. Waddill was a fire & safety director for the Veterans Administration and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjory “Molly” Bisel Waddill; one son, Dale Waddill of Florida; one daughter, Paula Waddill of Tennessee; one brother, Albert Leroy Waddill of Texas; one sister, Ella Mae Anderson of Oklahoma; and three grandchildren.

Stacey ‘Jim’ Hall
Stacey “Jim” Hall, 84, passed away March 18, 2005. He was a 20-year Army veteran and a life-time member of the VFW and DAV.
His son Jimmy preceded him in death in 1975.
Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Hall; one daughter, Stacia Jane Tucker of Cabot; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
He, the deceased, requested no services or flowers. Arrangements are being handled by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
Emma Lucille Lucas
Emma Lucille Babcock Lucas, 88, of Cabot, died March 14, 2005.
She was a retired soil conservation service employee.
Her survivors include her son, Michael Lucas of Cabot; daughters, Pamela McNeely of DeSoto, MO, Barbara Brown of Sherwood, and Patricia Hill of Benton; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 16 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. A graveside service followed at Graceland cemetery in Pine Bluff.
Charles E. Woosley
Charles Eugene Woosley, 80, of England, died March 14, 2005.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Laverne Woosley of England; daughters, Donna Webb of Hot Springs, and Gayla Morales of England; brothers, Joe Woosley and Darrell Woosley, both of Cabot; sister, Carolyn Schmerber of Salem, OR; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Union Valley or Tomberlin cemeteries.
Funeral services were held March 17 at Roller-England Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Union Valley cemetery.
Joel Alan Wood
Joel Alan “Joey” Wood, 44, of Jacksonville died on March 15, 2005.
He is survived by his daughters April Flores of Cabot, and Amanda Wood of Conway; two grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Gail Stickney of Fayetteville, Steve Wood of Cabot, Kenny Wood of Heber Springs, and Kimberly Allen of Jacksonville.
Memorial services were held at the Jacksonville Funeral Home on March 18.
Rufus LeRoy Tedford
Rufus LeRoy Tedford, 84, of Little Rock, died March 17, 2005.
He was in the Army during WWII and a lifetime member of Second Baptist Church.
His survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Tedford; children, Bruce Tedford of Dover, and Laurie Driver of Little Rock; brother, Loye Tedford of Hot Springs, and sister, Martha Hicks of Austin; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 19, in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills. Burial followed at Pinecrest cemetery.
James M. Thweatt
James MacLauchlan Thweatt 67, of Beebe, died March 16, 2005.
He was a graduate of Hendrix College with a degree in business. He later passed the bar exam and set up his practice in Hazen. Later, he moved his practice to Beebe.
He was also active in Prairie County politics. He served as president of the Hazen School District for many years, was Hazen’s City Attorney and chairman of the Prairie County Democratic Central Committee. He also served as Beebe’s city Attorney.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Thweatt of Beebe; nine children, Rita Grumbles of Greenbrier, Angie Neibling of Highland, KS, Maysie Allmond of Bossier City, LA, James M. Thweatt, Jr., of Little Rock, Heather Smith of Beebe, Shannon Nye of Hagerstown, MD, Melody Thweatt, Jamie Harnison and April Randolph all of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the ULAR Foundation for the James M. Thweatt Law School Memorial, 1201 McMath, Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
A private family remembrance will be held.
Norma Hollingshead
Norma Jean Parks Hollingshead, 76, of Jacksonville, died on March 16, 2005.
She was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene in Jacksonville. She worked for the Pulaski County Special School District for many years and retired from Maybelline.
Surviving her is brother, George Parks of El Dorado; sisters, Mildred Taylor of North Little Rock, and Margaret Trotter of McCrory; sons, Larry and Eddie both of Cabot, and Gary and Rick both of Jacksonville; daughters, Pam Perry and Jeannie Hollingshead both of Cabot; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Joyce M. McFarland
Joyce Moorhead McFarland, 73, died March 16, 2005.
Her survivors include sons, Bobby, Tommy Morris, and Mark Haralson; daughter, Pepper McFarland; sisters, Adelle Keressi, Ohio, Lucy Jacks, Lonoke; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 18 at the Fowler Funeral Home in Brinkley. Burial was at the Choctaw cemetery.
Dorothy K. Brown
Dorothy K. Brown, 88, of Cabot, died March 17, 2005.
She was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Cabot.
She is survived by five daughters. Arkansas survivors include Jean and Bill Klink, Noelle and Samantha Weldon, all of Cabot; and Delynne, John, Madelynne, and Veronica West of Benton.
A graveside service was held in Texas.
