Zelma Ann Foley

Zelma Ann Reed Alexander Foley, 77, of Sheridan, died March 5, 2005.
Survivors include son, Homer Alexander of Bryant; daughters, Verlan McCool of Sheridan, Linda Kitchens of Malvern; stepchildren Verna Bragg of Bryant; Ronnie Bragg of Bryant, Sandra Arrowood of Fayetteville, Carmon Alexander of Louisville, KY, Benny Alexander of Cabot; brother, Buddy Reed of Hot Springs; sister, Delma Abernathy of Hot Springs; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and six great-step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were planned for Wed., March 9, and Thurs., March 10. Interment was in the Reed cemetery.

Thelma M. Ring

Thelma Maurene Ring, 90, of Jonesboro, died March 5, 2005.
She was a member of the Church of God.

She is survived by sons, Verbal Ring of Brockwell, Jerry Ring of Jonesboro, Mike Ring of Cabot, and George Ring of Batesville; daughters, Kathleen Gibson Palmer, Glenda McDaniel and Debbie Ring, all of Jonesboro, and Betty McHatton of Little Rock; 10 grandchilren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 8, at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Wayne Goodman officiating.
Interment was in the Philadelphia cemetery.

Clay Emmett Warren

Beloved son, Clay Emmett Warren, age 20, of Cabot, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2005 in a traffic accident. Born on September 17, 1984, to Vicki and the late Emmett E. (Bo) Warren. He is survived by one sister, Jessica A. Warren.

He worked in construction in the Cabot area.
Paternal grandparents are the late Emmett E. and Ruth Warren of Conway and maternal grandparents, Ken and Norma Glover of Pine Bluff. Other survivors are aunts, uncles, and cousins from Conway, Maumelle, Little Rock, and Pine Bluff.

Visitation and funeral services are pending. Please contact Cabot Funeral Home at 501-843-5816 or cabotfuneralhome@aol.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Clay Warren Memorial Fund at Community Bank of Cabot.

Clay will be remembered as giving the best hugs and for his heart of gold. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Orvil E. Willis

Orvil E. “Jerry” Willis, of Cabot, died Feb. 21, 2005.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Molly; sons, Jerry Willis of Sherwood and Ricky Willis of Paragould; granddaughters.

A memorial service was Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, in the chapel of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Albert L. Coffman

Albert Louis Coffman of Jacksonville, 64, died Feb. 24, 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Katheleen Arnold Coffman; mother, Margaret Coffman of Ward; children, Julie Avery of Jacksonville, Jesse Coffman and Phyllis Sanchez of North Little Rock; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Cathy Smith, of Carlisle; Clyde Coffman, Hershell Coffman and Sue Johnson, of Benton; Jackie Coffman, Alaska; Mike Coffman, Lonoke; Dempsie Coffman, Russellville; Venessa Ford, Austin; Carol Addie, Scott and Sylvia Mahon of Martinville.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Scott United Pentecostal Church. Arrangements are by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Luther A. Bayles, Jr.

Luther Alfred Bayles, Jr., of Ward, 79, died Feb. 23, 2005. He was grandfather to 21 children and a great-grandfather to 33. A Navy veteran of World War II, he spent most of his life as an iron worker, produce worker and a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Bayles; two sons, Dennis Bayles, Sr. of Lonoke and Terry Bayles of Ward; four daughters, Linda Baumtrod of Georgia, Marilyn Crowell of Ward, Judy Hanandeh of Missouri and Debbie Bayles of Ward; one sister, Dolly Dixon of Florida and one brother, Jim Frank Bayles of Ward.

Funeral was Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Ward, with burial in Monk cemetery, under rthe direction of Westbrook Funeral Home.

Wilma Malone

Wilma Malone, age 97, of Austin, died Feb. 22, 2005. She was retired from Kellwood Clothing Manufacturing in Little Rock. She was a of Southside Church of Christ in Cabot.
She is survived by one sister, Lucy Sowell of Ward.

Funeral was Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005 at Westbrook Funeral Home with burial in Old Austin cemetery.

Edith J. Sparks

Edith Juanita Mitchell Sparks, 82, formerly of Bayou Meto Area, died in Ft. Worth Feb. 22, 2005. She was a member of the Bayou Meto Baptist Church and a retired factory worker and cook.
She is survived by two sons, Gilbert Carmical of Sherwood and Russell Sparks of Palmdale, Calif.; one daughter, Jeannie Ballard of Ft. Worth, Texas; brother, Herbert E. Mitchell, Jr. of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Bayou Meto Baptist Church, 26200 Hwy. 107, Jacksonville, Ark. 72076.
Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at Bayou Meto Baptist church. Interment was in Sumner cemetery in North Pulaski County by North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Louie M. Moore

Louie Maurice Moore, 59, of Cabot passed away February 26, 2005. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church; disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He graduated Oak Grove High School; worked for over 20 years for MacMillan Bloedel Containers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Tiny” Ranzy and Dorthie E. Weatherly Moore and a sister, Brenda Jo Moore.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Moore; four daughters, Janet Boyd (Robert Furrow) of North Little Rock, Ana Troy, Emily and Taylor Moore of Cabot; four sons, Bill (Rose) Ingram of Knoxville, Arkansas, Michael “Bo” (Kari) Ingram, James (Connie) Ingram and Jonah Maurice Moore of Cabot as well as his grandchildren, Solita Johnson, Tara Williams of North Little Rock, Cali Jo Troy and Brandon Ingram of Cabot, Nina Furrow of Jacksonville, Tara Ingram of Casper, Wyoming, Brandon and Leann McMurtrey of Marshall, MN; two brothers, Carl Wayne Moore of North Little Rock, William “Bimbo” (Teresa Moore of Cabot); four sisters, Linda Adams Van and Jan (Regan) Payne of Butlerville, Leatha (David) Basco of LA and Donna (David) Wilson of Conway; nineteen nieces, sixteen nephews, eight great-nephews; step children, Samantha Powers, Tammy Lake, Kim Chapman and Buddy Hill also cherish his memory along with many friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Berea Baptist Church, 104 east Valentine Road, Jacksonville with interment to follow in Butlerville cemetery with Rev. Lonnie Autry officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Cabot Funeral Home, 700 N. Second, Cabot, (501)-843-5816.

Alice L. Slaton

Alice L. Slaton, age 76, of Beebe, died Feb. 21, 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bass of Beebe; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Fry of Roxboro, N.C.

Funeral was held at Westbrook Funeral Home on Feb. 23, with burial in Antioch cemetery.

Mary J. Strickland

Mary Jess Strickland, 84, of Lonoke, died Saturday, February 26, 2005, in Lonoke. A daughter of the late William J. and Maude Moore Reynolds, she was born July 3, 1920, in Clarksville. She was retired from the First State Bank of Lonoke and was a Presbyterian. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. O. Strickland and two brothers Charles and Morgan Maze. Survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law: John R. and Dean Strickland of Russellville; and Louis M. and Donna Strickland of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren and two grandchildren-in-law: John David and Lori Strickland of Sheridan; Sue Carol and Rob Watkins of Little Rock; Stan Strickland of Barcelona, Spain; and Austin and Morgan Mae Strickland, both of Broken Arrow.

Private service arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service.

Harold Heymach

Harold Heymach, 81, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005.
He is survived by daughters, Carol Ann Enz of Strausburg, Penn., and Rose Fleming of Ward; sons, Joe Heymach of Rosemont, Penn., and Gary Heymach of Jacksonville; sister, Anna Landmesser and brother Raymond Heymach; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
