Joy Ingram Joyner
Joy Ingram Joyner, 84, of El Dorado died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003.
She taught in the one-room schools of Van Buren County, getting her first teaching assignment at age 16. Later she worked for the Arkansas Social Services Department for 10 years and for the Arkansas Employment Security Division for 24 years before returning to the teaching profession.
Survivors include her son, Paul Joyner of El Dorado and a granddaughter.
Services were Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Chapel in Clinton, with burial in the Colony cemetery at Morganton.
Irene Leonard Allen
Irene Leonard Allen, 85, of Monticello died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003.
She was the widow of Curtis Allen, owned and operated Allen Feed, and was a member of the Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam Allen of Monticello; one brother, Rev. Ben Frank Leonard of Cabot; one sister, Betty Ruth Hayden of Monticello; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service was Monday at the Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery by Stephenson-Dearman.
Linda Kay Hewitt
Linda Kay Hewitt, 53, of Conway died Tuesday, September 23, 2003 in Little Rock. She is survived by her husband, Coy Hewitt of Conway; son, Richard Hamilton, Jr. of Georgia; 2 daughters, Loretta Bierman of Cabot and Randy Armentrout of Beebe; parents, Riley and Patsy Whiteside of Jacksonville; brother, Howard Whiteside of Jacksonville; sister, Sandra Meredith of Conway; 4 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 25 from 5-8 pm at Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Cabot Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Cypress Valley cemetery. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
Taylor Layne Keck
Taylor Layne Keck, age 16, of Cabot died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004. Taylor was a junior at Cabot High School. He loved reading, hunting, golf, music, and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his parents, Tracy and Terry Keck of Cabot; brother, Tyler Keck; maternal grandparents, Chester and Linda Myers of Cabot; paternal grandparents, Charles Keck of Heber Springs; Janell and Doyle Kellebrew of Little Rock; great-grandmother, Ruby McDougal of Pleasant Plains; great-grandparents, Joe and Mable Bates of Ward.
Funeral services were 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 13 at Briarwood Baptist Church in Cabot with Reverend Don Rose of Russellville officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Carmel cemetery under direction of Cabot Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Darren O’Dell, Shawn Waller, Chris Lovston, Steve Mallett, James Johnston and Terry Norton. Honorary pallbearers were Devin Gregory, B. J. Skinner, Matt Lowman, Jason Bays and Jason Roberts. Visitation was, Thursday, Aug. 12 at Cabot Funeral Home.
A memorial fund has been set up for Taylor Keck at Community Bank in Cabot.
Edward Clay Roberts
Edward Clay Roberts, 55, of Hattieville, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004. He was retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad and a member of First Baptist Church of Cabot. He was in the United States Army 66th Engineer Company and a Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Roberts; step-sons, Michael Martin of Jacksonville, Brian Martin of Sherwood; three grandchildren; his mother, Ethel Roberts of North Little Rock; three brothers, James Roberts and Jerry Roberts of North Little Rock and Raymond Roberts of Cabot; sister Lois Boyd of North Little Rock.
Memorials may be made to Diabetes Association, Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home with Rev. John Powers officiating. Burial was in Arkansas State Veterans cemetery. The family received friends Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home.
Ethan Marino
Ethan Alex-Zander Marino, 5 days, died Aug. 9, 2004. Survivors are his parents, George and Elise Marino II; sister, Natalie Annalyse Marino; grandparents, Chad and Becky Ellison and George and Nancy Marino; great-grandparents, Rodger A. McDowell, Barbara A. Marino, Herbert D. Ellison, Barbara J. Ellison, George T. Marino, Sr., Frances Starnes.
Graveside services were Thursday, August 12 at Old Austin cemetery, Austin, with Tim Baise officiating. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Annie L. Burns
Annie L. Harris Burns, age 87, of Austin, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004.
She is survived by one son, Lawrence G. Burns of Cabot; one daughter, Helen Ruth Probus of Austin; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Uless Harris of Austin.
The family received friends at Westbrook Funeral Home Friday. Funeral was Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at Westbrook Funeral Home with burial in Sixteenth Section cemetery. Officiant was Dr. A.B. Hicks with music by Caroline Burns and Gail Crabb.

Ida Tina Martin
Ida Tina Emerson Martin, age 90, of Van-Nuys, Calif., formerly of Cabot died Aug. 11, 2004. She was born at Jacksonville. She was a retired real estate agent and of the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Ida Martin of Valley Village, Calif.; two sisters, Opal Wilson of Washington, Elvy Barnard of California.
Graveside services were Tuesday, Aug. 17 at Sumner cemetery with Brother Bruce Green officiating.
Michael D. Sneed
Michael David Sneed, Jr., age 21, of Cabot died Aug. 13, 2004. He was born July 8, 1983 in Little Rock.
He is survived by his father, Michael David Sneed, Sr.; mother, Diane Heslep Sneed; two sisters, Haley Mallett, Jacksonville, Jennifer Johnson, Conway; two brothers, Keith Gillard, Charleston, S. C., Jay Gillard, Clemson, S. C.; and grandparents, Luther and Thresa Carroll, Cabot; Mr. & Mrs. David Sneed, Hope.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 20 at Stanfill cemetery with Reverend Billy Dodson officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 Noon, Friday, Aug. 20 at Cabot Funeral Home.
Robin Royal Rye
Robin Royal Rye, 74, of Little Rock died Aug. 10, 2004.
He is survived by one brother, Oland Rye of Humnoke, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Aug. 12, at Union Valley cemetery, Coy, officiated by his nephew, Danny Rye. Arrangements were by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.
He was the last born of 13 children; 11 of which lived to be adults: Fate, Faye, Larry, Lawrence, Bannel, Geroline, Oland, Glenore, Shirley, J.W. “Jiggs” and Robin. He was a World War II veteran, later joining his parents in cotton farming in Mesa, Ariz. At his father’s death, he moved to Little Rock, and cared for his mother and sisters, Faye and Glenore, during their illnesses. Robin was a good man who could make you laugh, and will be missed by his family and friends.
Lula Belle King
Lula Belle King, 85, of Lonoke died Aug. 14, 2004.
She was born Nov. 7, 1918, the daughter of the late Will and Hazel Moore Crowder of Carlisle. A beautician for many years, she was a member of Faith Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by sisters Oleta Crowder and Toka Dean Sumner Kittler, and brothers Billy, Drury and Amil Crowder, all of Carlisle.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Woodrow King, and son Johnny (Judy) King of Lonoke, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were Aug. 16, at Boyd Chapel, with burial in Lonoke cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
