Faye Eagle
Faye Eagle, age 90, died Nov. 21, 2003.
She was a member of Palm Street Church of Christ, Lonoke.
Survivors are her daughter, Annette Bryan; a grandson; a sister, Fredia McCuin of Sherwood.
Services were Monday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke, with interment in Lonoke cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Palm Street Church of Christ.
Janet Lee Graham
Janet Lee Graham, 64, of North Little Rock died Nov. 22, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; son, Tim of Cabot; brothers, Jon Lawler of Elmhurst, Ill., and Terry Joe Lawler of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Bonnie Hawkins of Clarksville, and Claudia Mitchell of Trevor, Wis.; and two grandchildren.
Huson Funeral Home, Sherwood, was in charge of arrangements.
Charles R. Cameron
Charles R. Cameron, 76, of Parkers Chapel died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Sarah Pickering Cameron; his two sons, Barry Cameron of Parkers Chapel and Andy a Cameron of Cabot; three daughters, Cathy Cameron of Sherwood, Anita Cameron of North Little Rock, and Beth Weldon of Parkers Chapel; nine grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters.
He was a Navy veteran, operated Cameron’s Radiator Shop in El Dorado, Cameron’s Grocery in Parkers Chapel and retired from Ethyl Corporation in 1989.
Funeral services were Nov. 25, in Young’s Chapel, with burial in the Old Parkers Chapel cemetery.
Memorials be made to Community Hospice, 1427 North West Ave., El Dorado, Ark., 71730.
Services were by Young’s Funeral Directors of Distinction.
James R. Alberson Jr.
James Raymond Alberson Jr., 35, of Jacksonville died Nov. 19, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Pattie Hatton Alberson; mother, Barbara Alberson; a sister, Billie Rae Willis; son, Jordan Hatton; daughters, Nikki and Taylor Hatton; and grandmothers, Myrtle Lamb and Ruby Scott.
Funeral was Sunday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, with interment in Burris cemetery, Lonoke.
Allie Mae Freeling
Allie Mae Freeling, 79, of Jacksonville died March 17, 2004.
She served in the American Armed Forces during WWII.
Survivors are her daughter, Alma Gennings of Sherwood; a son, James R. Freeling Sr. of Sherwood; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, James Sentell of Beebe and Donald House of North Little Rock; and sisters, Darlene Graves of Sherwood and Geraldine Cox of Ward.
Funeral was March 22, at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Old Austin cemetery.
Michael A. Sowell
Michael Alexander Sowell, age 2 months, of Beebe, died March 17, 2004.
He is survived by his father, Gary Don Sowell; his mother, Megan Michelle Sowell; maternal grandparents, Beverly Winters and step-grandfather Daniel Winters of Beebe, Ronnie Vann of Lonoke; paternal grandparents, George and Donna Sowell of Beebe; great-grandmother, Shirley Barnes, of Austin, great-grandparents Faber and Artie Faye Vann of Cabot.
Graveside service was Friday, March 19, 2004, at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe, by Westbrook Funeral Home.
Alice Ruby G. Balding
Alice Ruby Gray Balding of Ward, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2004, at 96 years of age. She was born on September 13, 1907, to Thomas Arthur and Addie Edith Gray. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Forest Bedford, and two grandsons, Arthur Forrest Kirkland and T. H. Balding.
Ruby leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Bedford and Rose; and her daughter, Alice and her husband Leroy Kirkland. She has five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was an active member of the Sylvania Presbyterian Church throughout her life. She earned a BSE from Arkansas Teachers College in Russellville, and she was a school teacher for over forty years.
Her hobby was growing beautiful flowers. But, her main focus in life was her family who will miss her greatly.
Visitation was Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Her service was at 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with interment following at the Sylvania cemetery, Ward.
Billie Jo Cooper
Billie Jo Cooper, 80, of Cabot passed away March 20, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Cooper and a sister, June Armstrong. She is survived by her mother, Artle Crocker; daughters, Debbie Cooper, Marva Verkler and husband, Paul; son, Tim Cooper, and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Tim Cooper, Jr., Jennifer Nickerson, Jeremy Verkler, Joseph Cooper, Johanna Wheetley, Amanda Munoz, Claudia Munoz, Marcy Munoz; great-grandchildren, Hailey Cooper, Dylan Verkler, Brianna Wheetley, Blake and Hunter Munoz.
Visitation was Tuesday, March 23 from 5-8 p.m. at Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Cabot, with interment in Mt. Carmel cemetery. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
Miles E. Warner
Miles E. Warner, age 80, formerly of Lonoke, died Saturday, March 20, 2004. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a retired 30-year employee of Arkansas Power and Light Co.
Survivors are his wife, Iva Berniece (Susie) Warner; a son, Miles D. Warner of Lonoke; one daughter, Eva Inez Warner (Cissy) of Mayflower, and a sister, Evelyn Walters.
Graveside Services were Tuesday, March 23 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Military Honors provided by Leonard Stark VFW post in Heber Springs.
Darrell M. French II
Darrell Max French II of Ward, died Monday, March 22, 1004. He was employed by AmeriPride as a route driver.
Survivors are two daughters, Amber Nicole and Madison Elizabeth French; mother and stepfather, Sandra and Jack Norris of Shreveport., La.; brothers, David French and Daniel French of Shreveport, La.; step-brother, Matt; grandparents, George and Lena French of Ward, Floyd and Jean Jones of Shreveport, La.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 24, 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. at Rest Hills cemetery in Sherwood. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service of Cabot.
