Irene Hubbard

Irene Hubbard, age 84, of Morrilton died Wednesday, July 21, 2004.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and past Worthy Matron for Garland Chapter 414 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, George Hubbard of Morrilton; daughters - Delores Stobaugh of Morrilton, Kathy Millard of Carlisle, Elaine Andrews of Morrilton; sister, Lena Gordon of Morrilton; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were July 23, at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.

James E. Moore

James Eugene Moore, 52, of Jacksonville died Saturday, July 24.
He was a member of Gravel Ridge First Baptist Church.

Survivors are his brothers Philip of Lonoke, Sammy, Jessee and Lue Moore, all of Jacksonville; sisters, Judy Nichols and Sue Hall of Jacksonville, and Barbara Hancock of DeValls Bluff.

Services were Monday at Stanphil Baptist in Jacksonville. Arrangements by Hardy Funeral Home.

Charles M. Vance

Charles Merlyn “Bo” Vance, 76, died July 23, 2004.

He was a member of West Side Baptist Church in Little Rock and served his country in both the Navy and Air Force. He worked as a truck driver for Barrett Hamilton and retired after 32 years of service.

Survivors include Barbara, his wife of 49 years; two daughters, Kathy Henry of Paragould and Rhonda Watson of Lonoke; three grandchildren; two brothers, James Vance of Traskwood and Jack Vance of Missouri.

Funeral Services were Tuesday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke with interment in Brownsville cemetery.

Irma L. Drysdale

Irma L. Drysdale, 91, of DeValls Bluff died Wed., July 21, 2004.

She is survived by five sons, Elton Drysdale of Peculiar, Mo., Carl Lee Drysdale of DeValls Bluff, John Drysdale of Texarkana, Texas, Jimmy Drysdale of Cabot, and Ted Drysdale of El Paso; one daughter, Carletta Meeker of Palmer, Alaska; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were July 25, at the First Baptist Church in DeValls Bluff. Burial was in Oakland cemetery in De Valls Bluff. Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials be made to Oakland cemetery in DeValls Bluff.

Eva Eloise Cooney

Eva Eloise “Eve” Austin Cooney of Carlisle, died July 19, 2004
.
Survivors are her husband, Luther Cooney; seven sisters, Rose Austin, Earnestine McClarthy, Bernestine Patterson, Althier Jackson, Judy Austin, Martha Gibson, and Stella Austin; eight brothers, Robert Austin, Ulice Austin, Robert Washington, Richard Washington, Nathaniel Austin, Edward Austin, Lester Holmes, and Mack Austin.

Funeral services were July 24, at the Revelation Church of God In Christ, Carlisle, with Hubble Funeral Home in charge.

Sophia Mae Britt

Sophia Mae Marcotte Britt, 93, died July 23, 2004.

She is survived by a son, Billy Marcotte of Carlisle; a daughter, Edna McGee of Kerrville, Texas; a sister, Louise WaWak of Missouri; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral was Monday at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Carlisle, with burial in Carlisle cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.

Billy Wayne Beeler

Billy Wayne Beeler, owner and proprietor of Beeler Construction, passed from this earth in the early morning of June 19, 2004 at the age of 63. Preceding him in death were his parents, W.H. Beeler and Grace (Yeargain) Beeler, and three brothers, Azro, Dale and Glynn Beeler, all of Paragould.

He is survived by his wife and business partner, Carole Lynn (Wayland) Beeler. He is also survived by his three children: Telesa (Johnny) Cook, of DeSoto, MO, Tony (Tonya) Beeler, and Angel (Jeff) Cleveland all of Lonoke. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Gene Beeler of Paragould and three sisters, Faye Dodson of Alton, IL, Ruth Larrive of Powhattan, and Peggy Gordon of Paragould.

An avid fisherman, Bill Beeler was also a well known contractor and subcontractor of many homes and businesses in Lonoke and the surrounding areas during the 33 years he practiced his trade. Local builders in the community today continue his work by utilizing the tools of the trade taught to them by Bill.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke with interment in Brownsville cemetery. The family received friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Floyd Lavern Hogan

Floyd Lavern Hogan “Hogan”, 66, of Cabot, went to be with his Lord on June 17, 2004. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, in Cabot. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ed Hogan and Helen Pruitt; brother, Vaughn Ray Hogan; step-sister, Margaret Hatton.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Hogan; daughter, Sandy Laverne Overton of Steele, MO; step-daughter; Pam and Garry Roberts of Sherwood, AR; step-son, Rodney Brown of Little Rock; Brothers, Carl and Sammie Hogan of Troy, MO; Dick and Barbara Hogan of Columbus, GA; Gary and Barbara Hogan of Texas City, TX; Jim and Debbie Braden of Springfield, MO; sisters, Mary and Perry Camden of Oates, MO; Phyllis and Frankie Markem of Eldington, MO; Marcella and Jessie Miles of Clarkton, MO; grand-daughter, Vickie Overton; four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Friday, June 18 at Cabot Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services were held, Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 2 in the afternoon at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Craig Friedl officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Hill cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice. Funeral arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home, 700 N. Second St, 501-843-5816.

Stephen A. Aultman

Stephen Allen Aultman, age 46, died June 16, 2004.

He is survived by his parents, Tom and Sue Aultman of Scott; grandmother, Edith Burnett of Lonoke.

Funeral services were Saturday at New Testament Missionary Baptist Church, Lonoke, Bro. Doug Hambrick and Bro. Billy Pearson officiating. Interment followed in Chapel Hill cemetery, Jacksonville, arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Memorials may be made to New Testament Baptist Church Building Fund.

Imogene Wooten

Imogene Wooten, age 78, of Ward, born Sept. 26, 1925, in Butlerville, died June 16, 2004. She was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Wooten of Cabot and Robert Wooten of Butlerville; three daughters, Linda Gray of Greenbrier, Jean Wheetley of Ward and Esther Stahmann of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Alden Scroggs of Little Rock; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Funeral was Friday, June 18, 2004, at New Horizon Baptist Church with burial in Butlerville cemetery.

LaVerne Pryor Potts

LaVerne Pryor Potts, age 73, of Cabot, Arkansas, died Saturday, June 19, 2004. She was retired from First Tennessee Bank and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and lover of flowers.

LaVerne is survived by her husband, James E. Potts; one daughter, Deborah Faye Potts Gubala and son-in-law Paul Gubala of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Alton Pryor of Sherwood; two sisters, Sandra Webber of Des Arc and Marcella Tippit of Cabot; four grandchildren, Thomas Stanley Davis, III, Crystal Kimberly Davis, Nicole Banks and James Paul Potts; and two great-grandchildren, James Maverick Banks and Hunter Brayden Smith. She was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Potts.

Visitation was Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral was 2 p.m. Monday at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Hebron cemetery.
