Craig Eugene Smith
Craig Eigeme Smith, age 33, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, April 11, 2004. He was a service technician for Truman Green Chemlawn and a member of Marshall Road Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father, E. Gene Smith of El Paso; mother, Norma Smith of Jacksonville; sons, Jacob of North Little Rock and Cody of Beebe; brothers, Mel Smith of Cabot; Rickey Smith of Bastrop, Texas; Kevin Gene Willis of Bryant; sisters, Cynthia Carney of Tulsa, Okla., Debbie Sorn of Southhaven, Miss., Denna Culpepper of Sacramento, Calif.; grandmother, Mary Francis Smith of Eudora.
Funeral service was Wednesday, April 14 in the Chapel of Moore’s Jacksonville Fuineral Home with Bro. Cliff Hutchins officiating. Entombment in Chapel Pines Mausoleum. Arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
Mary Louise McCuin
Mary Louise McCuin, age 69, of Cabot died April 11, 2004.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tommy McCuin of Cabot; three daughters, Debbie Warrick, Sharon McCuin and Diana Beavers, all of Cabot; a son, Tommy McCuin Jr. of North Little Rock; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, J.W. Ford Jr. of Grove, Okla., Donald Ford of North Little Rock; four sisters, Linda McMillan and Sue Burgess, both of Cabot, Nancy Evans of Ward and Peggy Eagle of Lonoke.

Virginia L. Kendrick
Virginia Louise (Craig) Kendrick, 67, of Hazen died Friday, April 9, 2004.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Lowell Kendrick; her children, Patsy Rawding and Sheila Harris of Hazen, Linda Walters of Carlisle, Jerry Kendrick and Mary Burks Hughes of Lonoke, Richard Kendrick of England and Patricia Petty of Des Arc; brothers, Barney Craig, Jimmy Craig, Donald Craig, Tony Craig, Jerry Craig, Charles Craig and Lawrence Craig, all of Carlisle; sisters, Frances Grady and Bobbie Hicks of Carlisle, Diane Craig of Pine Bluff, Dorothy Hanks of Ward, Carolyn Mavity of Jacksonville, Kathryn Henson of Sheridan, Kathy Desmuck of Searcy and Helen Speck of North Little Rock; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was April 10 at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Hazen, with burial in Center Point cemetery.
Hubert Wayne Capps
Hubert Wayne Capps, 58, of Hensley died April 5, 2004.
He was a Quality Control Welder for Terex Utilities, member of the Orion Missionary Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Survivors: wife, Linda Capps, Hensley; sons, Michael Capps, and Troy Capps, of Hensley; daughter, Donna Crabtree, Austin; mother, Sylvia Turrin Capps, Hensley; brother, William Capps, Hensley; sisters, Mary Crowder, Wynne, Jerri Reno, Conway; six grandchildren.
Family services will be held later.
Roberta J. DeBlack
Roberta Jewell DePriest DeBlack, 88, died April 6, 2004.
She was born in the Furlow community in Lonoke County. She was a Methodist.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Thomas A. DeBlack; and a granddaughter, all of Conway.
A graveside service was held at Concord United Methodist Church Thursday. A memorial service followed at Asbury United Methodist Church in Little Rock. Arrangements by Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, Little Rock.
Charles Griffis III
Charles Howell “Griff” Griffis III, 59, of Little Rock died April 6, 2004.
He was of the Methodist faith, and was a Navy veteran having served in Cuba during the Vietnam era. He was a retired security guard with St. Vincent’s Infirmary; prior to that he was a fireman for the Little Rock Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Glynn Griffis of Hensley; six daughters - Shari Fernandez of Murrieta, Calif., Susan Gray of Olive Branch, Miss., Hallie Muilenburg of Bauxite, Pam Meredith of Lonoke, Tammy Crockett of Greenbrier, and Becky Powell of North Little Rock; one son, Eddie Munnerlyn of Little Rock; his brother - Dale Griffis of Hensley; his mother, Jogene Griffis of Hensley; and 14 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held April 9, at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Chapel, Little Rock.
James ‘Les’ Green
James “Les” Green died Thursday, April 6, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three daughters - Amy Curtis of Sherwood, Brigette Moody of Lonoke, and Natalie Wirzfeld of Shannon Hills; one son, Adam; his mother, Betty Green of Hoxie; two sisters - Connie of Hoxie and Sue Ann of Walnut Ridge; one brother - Mike of Bossier City, La.; and three grandchildren.
Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, was in charge of arrangements. The celebration of his life was held April 9, at Gateway Fellowship Church.

Glenda Gail Gray
Glenda Gail Gray, 53, of Jacksonville, died April 9, 2004.
She was a member of Burns Street Church of Christ. She worked for Little Rock Water Company as a Key Punch operator.
Survivors are her husband of 35 years; her son, Glen; a granddaughter; parents, Norman and Eleanor Legg of Jacksonville; brother, Michael Legg of Broken Arrow, Okla.
A celebration of her life was held Tuesday, April 13.
Laura Louise Latch
Laura Louise Latch, 75, died Friday.
She was a retired nurse, and a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Latch; daughter, Beverly Turner of Cabot; son, Kent Latch of Heber Springs; a granddaughter; sisters, Pauline Litaker; brothers, Norman Johnson, Harley Johnson, David Johnson, Curt Johnson.
Funeral was April 12, Olmstead Chapel, and interment, Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
Kathryn Cranston
Kathryn Cranston, 96, of Garden City, Kan., died Thursday.
She is the mother of Harry Cranston Jr. of Lonoke.
Funeral was Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City.

Wanda Lynn Hicks
Wanda Lynn McClung Hicks, 72, of Deale, Md., died Thursday, April 8, 2004.
She was a member of Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan; and was a public school teacher specialist working with the hearing and vision impaired, and taught at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., from 1975 to 1992.
Survivors are husband, Doin E. Hicks of Deale, Md.; daughter, Janet Elaine Vance of Upper Marlboro, Md.; sisters, Bonnie Sue Herron of Hot Springs, Glyndel Gartman of Carlisle; and a grandson.
Funeral services were April 12, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, with burial at New Hope cemetery near Sheridan.
