Clifford Raborn
Clifford Alexander Raborn, 75, of Carlisle died Thursday, June 18, 2009.
He was a veteran of the Marine Corps of Engineers, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 587, the American Legion, Woodmen of the World, owner operator of Ver-Ron Trucking Co. and a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Olive Raborn; three brothers, Dale, Carl and Donald Raborn; and one sister, Doris Bradley.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois Raborn; two daughters, Veronica Raborn and Rhonda Moore; three grandsons, Shawn, Joshua and Trey Moore, two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Joshua Moore; three sisters, Rachel Smart, Faye Merice and husband Bill and Linda Cochran and husband William; and one brother, Ray Raborn and wife Maggie.
The funeral was Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in the Carlisle cemetery. Arrangements were by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.
Opal Latimer
Opal Hanna Latimer, 88, passed away Aug. 31, 2008. She was born in Naylor, Ark., Oct. 19, 1919, to the late John Manley and Bertha Flippin Hanna.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, John E. Latimer, Jr.; grandson, John M. Latimer; granddaughter, Amanda Lee; brother, Dale Hanna and sister, Ione Stewart.
She is survived by her son, John L. (Pat) Latimer of Heber Springs; daughters, Marolyn Lee and Madeline (Glenn) Simmons of Lonoke; grandson Brooks (Amanda) Lee and great-grandson Evan Lee of Springdale; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Russell of North Little Rock and Faydene Hanna of Arizona, and many other relatives and friends.
She was an active member of the Lonoke United Methodist Church, Agape Circle of UMW and the Lonoke Lioness Club. Her life was lived with focus on her faith, family and friends to whom she gave lovingly and generously.
Although health issues compromised her physically, her light and love sustain us.
Funeral services were held Sept. 3 at Lonoke United Methodist Church. Interment followed at Vilonia cemetery in Vilonia.
Arrangements are by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Donny Waggoner
Donny Edward Waggoner, 74, died Aug. 23, 2008.
He is survived by his children, Dennis, Mark, Ann Marie and Donna; twin brother Lonny; brothers Wayne and Jim; sister Iva Dell; four half-brothers and one half-sister.
Graveside services were held at Hamilton cemetery.
Scott Brockinton
Scott Brockinton, 37, of Cabot passed away August 2008.
He is survived by his mother, Paulette Brockinton, of Fayetteville; father and stepmother, Kyle and Barbara L. Brockinton, of Sherwood; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Allison Brockinton, of Fayetteville; two nephews, Nicolas and Jaden Brockinton; grandparents, Emmett and Dimple Brockinton, of Jacksonville, and James Kirkland, of Heber Springs; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Donor’s Choice or Arkansas Sheriff’s Youth Ranch.
Funeral services were held at Sylvan Hills Community Church. Burial was in Harmony cemetery.

Lequita Joy Wilemon
May 14, 1931 - April 14, 2012
Lequita “Joy” Simpson Wilemon age 80 of Lonoke went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was born May 14, 1931 in Dewitt, Arkansas to the late Bunt and Emma Simpson. She retired from Falcon Jet where she was an Aviation Electronics Engineer. She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia LeHue, and her husband Jack Wilemon. She was a loving, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her three children; Diane Hoefar ,Brenda Harness , and Allen LeHew .She is also survived by her grandchildren Charmane Marks, Cindy Wilemon, Jeffrey Harness, Brian Harness, Chad LeHew, Colby LeHew, and great-grandchildren; Cyndel Marks Swartz, Autum Marks, Dakota Marks, and Tyler Van Houten.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Interment will be 12:00p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Forks LaGrue cemetery in Dewitt.
Karen Dillon
Karen Sue Dillon, 51, of Carlisle passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2008. She was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church of Carlisle.
She is survived by her brother, William R. Dillon of Jacksonville; nephew, David W. Dillon of California; and close friends, Elvin and Carol Whitehead, Latasha Mason and Xavier Butler, all of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Faye Dillon; son, Adam Dillon and her sister, Victoria Sutton.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 13 at the home of Elvin and Carol Whitehead in Carlisle.

Franklin Odell Hester
June 6, 1937 - April 6, 2012
Franklin Odell Hester, Sr. of Cabot was born June 6, 1937 in Bald Knob to the late Alonzo and Lorene Farris Hester. He took the Lord’s hand as he left this earth Friday, April 6, 2012 at the age of 74, from complications of pneumonia and congestive heart failure.
He was a wonderful husband, father and pawpaw and a true friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Erna Behr Hester of Cabot, his daughter Liana (Jim) of Cabot and his son, Frank, Jr. (Marcha) of Hastings, Nebraska; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren as well as two brothers, Wayne Crenshaw of Texas and Martin McClain of Tennessee and two sisters, Dixie McClain of Jacksonville and Pam Johnson of Heber Springs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Parker and a brother, Marvin McClain.
Mr. Hester was retired from the U.S. Army after serving 20 years then retired from the Veteran’s Hospital after 36 years. He served in Korea and Vietnam where he received a Bronze Star. Brother Frank was a 32 degree mason and was a Past Master of Faulkner Lodge No. 738. He was a past Patron of Jacksonville Chapter 520, Cabot Chapter 508 and Past Worthy Grand Patron of Arkansas.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the chapel of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. The Hester family will receive family and friends at their home in Cabot.
