Jewel Edmond Bolden
Jewel Edmond Bolden died March 6, 2001.
Survivors include his sisters, Annie Pittman, Ruth Bolden and Cleo Hanson, all of Tennessee and Dora Hanson of Georgia.
He was a Korean War veteran, a truck driver and a taxi cab driver.
Funeral was March 8 at Boyd funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Mt. Carmel cemetery.
Karl Hubmann
Karl “Buddy” Hubmann, 67, of Jacksonville died Monday, March 5, 2001.
He was a retired truck driver from Jones Truck Lines, a member of Teamsters Local #878, and a member of Stanfill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lois Hubmann; three sons, Jerry Hubmann of Mabelvale, Darrell Gray of Eddieville, Ky., and Don Hall of Cabot; six daughters, Freda Hearon of Sherwood, Mary Ferrell of Benton, Sheila Hall of Jacksonville, Vicki Hall of Mississippi, Lisa Yearber of Cabot, and Vickey Harper of Kentucky; one sister, Virginia Radford of Alexander; one brother-in-law, Thomas Woodruff of Kentucky; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday at Stanfill Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Dobson officiating. Burial was in Stanfill cemetery. North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge.

Katherine Shirron
Katherine H. Shirron, 64, of Benton died Monday, March 5.
She was a Bryant Elementary School teacher for 13 years before her retirement after 37 years of teaching. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bill A. Shirron of Benton; two sons, James Shirron of Prescott, and John Shirron of Cabot; one daughter, Ann Clark of Bryant; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday at the Salem United Methodist Church with a graveside service at Sparkman cemetery. The minister was Rev. Larry Kelso.
Memorials can be made to the Salem United Methodist Building Fund.
Harold McLarey
Harold Loyd McLarey, 77, of Sherwood died Tuesday, March 6, 2001.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty McLarey; his adopted daughter, Deirdre L. Jenkins of Cabot; son, Michael P. McLarey; and daughter, Heather K. McLarey.
Memorial services were March 8, at Central Baptist Church, North Little Rock, where McLarey was a member. The body was cremated.

Maydell Creswell
Maydell L. Parker Creswell, 87, of Cabot, formerly of Moline, Ill. and Ocala, Fla., died Feb. 18, 2001.
She was a member of the Northside Missionary Baptist Church in Ocala, Fla.
Survivors include sons, Ernest Colclasure of Rock Island, Ill., Ethridge Colclasure of Ochlocknee, Ga. and Frank Parker of Rapids City, Ill.; a daughter, Joan Marchese of Geneseo, Ill. and Sandra Carlson of Cabot; brothers, Jesse Maddox of Cabot, Dalton Maddox of Prattville, Ala. and Paul Maddox of Cabot; sister, Jean Laster of Cabot; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Feb. 23 at Esterdahl Funeral Chapel in Moline, Ill., with burial in Greenview Memorial Gardens.
Leon Catlett
Leon Catlett, 73, died Wednesday.
Survivors include his wife, Veda Catlett of Jacksonville; son, Michael Catlett of Ward; daughters, Alice Hillman, Louisiana, Maxine Robbins, all of Searcy; brother, Billy Catlett of Wynne; sister, Wilma Carlisle of Mississippi; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Friday, Kernodle Chapel, Wynne. Burial, Vanndale cemetery, Vanndale.
Dorothy Devorak
Dorothy Lee Sanders Devorak, 82, of Hazen, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001.
She is survived by a daughter, Beth Perry of Russellville; two sons, Larry Devorak of Little Rock, and Doug Devorak of Cabot; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; three sisters, Annie Youngman of Little Rock, Mildred McMullen of Russellville, and Mary Dean Skarda of Hazen.
She was a member of Hazen First Baptist Church where for most of her life she was very active in leadership of WMU and Sunday school.
Funeral services were Friday, March 9, 2001, at the First Baptist Church with burial in the Hazen cemetery with arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.
Iris Naoma Bell
Iris Naoma Bell, 75, died Tuesday.
She was retired from General Industries in Bald Knob, and was a member of the First Christian Church in Searcy.
Survivors include her husband, Houston Bell; son, Doug Bell of Heber Springs; daughters, Jane Bell of Judsonia and Brenda Grubbs of Garland, Texas; brother, Bob Watkins of Pangburn; sisters, Pat Conley of Cabot and Sue McCurdy of Manchester, Ga.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Services were Thursday at the First Christian Church in Searcy. Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery in the Plainview Community by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
Raymond Lee Dorrell
Raymond Lee Dorrell, age 54, of Roland died Saturday, November 11, 2000.
He was the former owner and operator of Cantrell Hill Service Center and a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Roland Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Dorrell; his daughter, Kellie Dorrell of Sherwood; his mother, Eulean Dorrell of Lonoke; four brothers, Ed Dorrell and Dennis Dorrell both of Alexander, Kenneth Dorrell of North Little Rock and Jimmy Dorrell of Louisiana.
Funeral services were Wednesday, November 15, at Roller Chenal Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott King officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
