Mark B. Dennis
Mark B. Dennis, 38, of Norman, OK, formerly of Lonoke, died April 30, 2005.
He is survived by his sons, Tanner Dennis of Abilene, TX, and Bryan Dennis of Norman, OK; parents, Dean and Marlena Dennis; sisters, Dena Bass of Lonoke, and Angie Dennis Robertson of North Little Rock.
A graveside service was held May 6 at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to New Life Bible Church, Boyd and Berry Streets, in Norman, OK.
Steve G. Cross
Steve G. Cross, 75, of Poplar Bluff, MO, died Mon., May 2, 2005.
He is survived by his son, Steve Roland Cross, of Robinsonville, MS, and daughter, Pamela R. Levering of Eureka Springs.
A graveside service was held Thurs., May 5, at Glover cemetery in Lonoke.
Goldman Rogers
Goldman “Jimmy” Rogers, 84, of North Little Rock died May 5, 2005.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Roxy Rogers; son, William Rogers of North Little Rock; daughters, Kathy Garrett of Cabot and Cindy Walla of North Little Rock; step-son, James Walthall of Alexander; step-daughters, Donna Roberson of Maumelle, Debbie Ouzt and Diana Miles of North Little Rock; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Hill of Batesville; and brother, Herman Rogers of Van Buren.
He was in the Army during WWII. He retired from the City of North Little Rock in 1986 after 38 years with the Street Department and is a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
A funeral service was held on May 7 at the First Freewill Baptist Church of North Little Rock followed by interment at Edgewood Memorial cemetery.
Frankie Finley
Frankie Finley, 77, died May 5, 2005.
Survivors include his son, Gerald Finley, of England; daughters, Joann Byrd, of Cabot, and Rhonda Finley, of England; sister, Ella Choate, of Conway; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 6 at the First Baptist Church in England. Burial was at Union Valley in Coy.
Phillip B. Noll
Phillip B. Noll, 72, of St. Vincent died May 5, 2005.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a United States Army veteran and retired owner and operator of Phil’s Grocery.
His survivors are his wife, Imogene Lancaster Flesher Noll of St. Vincent; son, Randy Flesher of Cabot; daughters, Debbie Myers of St. Vincent, Brenda Yarbrough of Conway, Linda Collins of Tennessee and Ann Weatherly of Cabot; sisters, Monica Zimmerman of St. Vincent and Gertrude Noll of Morrilton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 7, at St. Mary Catholic and burial followed at St. Mary cemetery.
Nancy Lou Rohr
Nancy Lou Rohr, 77, of Cabot, died May 6, 2005.
She was a Lutheran and a retired vice president of Security Pacific National Bank.
Survivors include son, Charles Rohr of Cabot; daughter, Kelly Rohr Ratican of Cabot; sister; Mary Hayes of Lakewood. CA; and six grandchildren.
Private services were held at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.
Robert Austin
Robert Austin. 66, of Cabot, died May 6. 2005.
He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard for 16 years, was employed as a tool and die maker for Faboat Satellite. He attended lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Niswonger Austin of Cabot; sons, Bobby Peppers, Jr., of Centerton, and Micah Thrill of Charlevoix, MI; daughters, Stephanie Wickman of Mt. Vernon, and Shawna Thrift of Cabot; brothers, Bobby Lee, Tommy Ray and Johnny Carl Austin; sister, Brinda Kay Weeks; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 9, 2005, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God. Interment was in the Weir cemetery.
Mary Dashiell
Mary Dashiell, 85, of Austin, died May 1, 2005.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Little Rock.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Chowning, of Little Rock, Betty Harrington of Austin; sister, Betty Nanney, of North Little Rock; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
Services were held on May 4, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock.
Ellis Elmo Ricks
Ellis Elmo Ricks, 88, of Chambers Nursing Home in Carlisle died May 5, 2005.
Ellis lived most of his life with his sister, Lois Jackson and her husband, Douglas.
He is survived by his sister, Lois Jackson of Carlisle.
Funeral services were held May 7 at the Westbrook Funeral Home chapel in Hazen.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Little Rock.
Delbert Lee Pierce
Delbert Lee Pierce, 65, died May 7, 2005.
He was a member of Military Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
Survivors include sisters, Lula Gautney of Lonoke, and Jean Holcomb of Sherwood.
Graveside services were held May 8, at Concord cemetery, Furlow.
