Billy Key
Billy Key, age 56, of Cabot passed away January 16, 2005. Billy was born September 10, 1948 to Norman and Marie Rutledge Key. He was a member of the Cabot Church of Christ, manager of Dundee’s Smart Clothes in Little Rock, and veteran of the U.S. Army. He will be remembered as a loving father and husband. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Rutledge and Ben and Emma Key.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Key of Cabot; his parents, Norman and Marie Key of Cabot; his children, Katherine and William Key of Cabot; and one brother, Micheal Key of New Orleans.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Wednesday, Jan. 19 in the Chapel of Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home with Bruce Green and Leon Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Paragould Children’s Home, Paragould, Arkansas.

Richard C. Wexler
Richard Charles “Dick” Wexler, SNR Mgt. (retired) 74, of Jacksonville died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005. He was a member of the Marine Corps and USAF and retired after 28 years of service. After retiring from the service he became a member of the United States Postal Service and retired after 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Wexler; two sons, Alan Wexler of Cabot and Michael Wexler of Sherwood; daughter, Sharon Davidson of Jacksonville; six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Michael A. Jenkins
Michael Anthony Jenkins, 44, died Jan. 11, 2005. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served a two-year mission for his church in Ecuador.
Survivors include a daughter, Olivia Marie; a son, Tanner Stephenson, and their mother, Marsha Jenkins of Baton Rouge, La.; his mother, Polly Jenkins of Jacksonville; his twin brother, Mark Jenkins of Ward; and a sister, Debbie Jones of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 14, at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, with graveside service following at Concord cemetery.
Robert L. Henrichs
Robert “Fats” L. Henrichs, age 67, of Cabot, died Jan. 12, 2005. He was a retired truck driver for Arkansas Electric in Little Rock after 27 plus years. He also served in the United States Air Force at the Little Rock Air Force Base, being one of the first to serve there when the base first opened.
Survivors include his wife Sue Witcher Henrichs of the home; sons Bobby Henrichs of Jacksonville and Carl “Hound” Henrichs of Cabot; daughters Beverly “Susie” Cain and Carmen Kirtley of Ward; nine grandchildren; mother Margaret Henrichs; brothers Duane Henrichs and Butch Henrichs; sisters Nancy Walsh and Susie Briggs all of Wisconsin.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005 at Old Austin Baptist Church with Pastors Mark Martin and Larry Monroe officiating. Interment followed at Old Austin cemetery. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, Cabot.
Lonnie “Dean” Horn
Lonnie “Dean” Horn, age 63, went to be with the Lord Jan. 12, 2005. He passed away surrounded by his family and friends. Their love and prayerful concern strengthened him during his 21 month battle with cancer.
Dean worked as a truck driver for 20 years before starting his own business with his wife and partner of 42 years. He began his entrepreneurship as a convenience store owner and bulk oil distributor. A few years later he added a trucking company. The trucking company eventually led him to build and operate a diesel truck repair shop. Work and family were his hobbies. He was passionate about both. Dean was also a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
Dean was born Jan. 4, 1942 to Georgia Horn Bell and the late Lonnie Horn. He is survived by his wife Geraldine and his three daughters, Lona Horn McCastlain and husband Bruce, Donna Galloway and husband Keith and children Keith and Kara, Deana Wadkins and husband Jerry. He is also survived by his sister Gail Ahart and brother Gary Horn and wife Brenda. His three grandsons, Brandon and Blake Wadkins and Max McCastlain were his pride and joy.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Jan. 15, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Cabot. Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Jan. 14 in the Chapel of Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.

Maclyn Albert Price
Maclyn Albert Price, 64, died Jan. 14, 2005. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his son, Danny Price of Georgia; brother, Buddy Woods; sisters, Mary Nelle Whitehead, Martha, Maryann and Dorothy.
Interment was Sunday at Hamilton cemetery in Carlisle by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
Troy Burns
Troy Burns, 83, of Little Rock, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005.
He was a graduate of Ward High School. During WWII, he served the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the USS Samuel Chase from 1942 to 1945. During this time, he participated in five invasions on North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Normandy, and southern France. He served as president of the USS Samuel Chase Association for several years. In 1946, after the war, he returned to Little Rock where he founded and became CEO of the Troy Burns Company. He as a member of the Magnolia Lodge #60. He became a 33rd Degree Mason and a member of the Scimitar Temple and Scottish Rite. He served on the board of directors of the Sales Executive Club and the Young Businessmen’s Association. He joined the Riverdale Country Club in 1953, and remained a member when it moved and was renamed Pleasant Valley Country Club. He was a member of the Senior Men’s Golf Association. He was a member of the First Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Crystal L. Jones Burns, a son, Troy Burns, Jr., of Little Rock, a daughter, Paula Burns Noble of Greenville, S.C., two granddaughters; brothers, Haskel Burns of El Paso, McCoy Burns of Austin, Bill Burns of Cabot; sisters, Beatrice Shock of Austin, Louise Cearly of Austin, and Marcill Moncrief of North Little Rock.
Funeral was Jan. 19, at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, Little Rock. Burial was at Grizzard cemetery in El Paso.

Chester William Farrell
March 15, 1921 - April 5, 2012
Chester William Ferrell was born on March 15, 1921 in Broseley, Missouri to Frank C. Ferrell and Rachel Cassie Dunlop Ferrell, but Chester grew up in Augusta. Chester is survived by one sister, Modene Lucy of Palestine, one sister-in-law Ruth Ferrell of McCrory, one daughter, Emma Knight and son-in-law, Ronald Knight of Jacksonville, one son, Chester “Chuck” D. Ferrell and daughter-in-law, Mary Ferrell of North Little Rock, one grandson, Gregory Knight and granddaughter-in-law, Mileia Knight of Springdale, one granddaughter, Stephanie Ferrell of Atlanta, Georgia, two great-grandsons, Matthew and Jacob Knight. Chester was proceeded in death by two brothers, Wesley Ferrell and Eugene Ferrell, one sister, LillieBell Dollar, and was widowed on two occasions, first by the death of Betty Jo Ferrell and secondly by the death of Margie House Ferrell. Chester was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer on November 22, 2011 and set out on a fierce battle against it, but lost his battle on March 5, 2012.
Chester joined the United States Army in 1941 and after serving six years, he left the service coming home to Woodruff County, Arkansas where he married
Betty Jo Holt of Beedeville. In 1948 he was recalled to active duty by the United States Army and the President of the United States. During his military career, he achieved the rank of 1st Sargent (E-8) and served as Sargent Major on Special Assignment with Company C 2nd Brigade Group, 4th Calvary, United States Army. Chester received The Award of the Purple Heart on August 9, 1952 in Korea. He also received the Bronze Star for Valor against the enemy at Chokko-ri, Korea in 1953. He received the Award of the Army Commendation Medal, as ordered by the United States Infantry Training Center, in addition he received two Korean War Service Medals, awarded him by the President of South Korea. Some of his assignments included Company A, 10th Battle Group, 3rd Brigade Infantry United States Army, Company B, 1st Battalion, 1st Brigade, Infantry, United States Army, Company A, 10th Battle Group, 3rd Brigade, United States Army Infantry Company B, 1st Battalion, 1st Infantry, United States Army.
On July 30, 1968, by order of the Secretary of the Army, Chester received special orders of retirement and did retire from Company B, 1st Battalion 1st Infantry United States Army. In 1970, he began working Base Supply of the 314 Tactical Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, receiving a multitude of Achievement Awards. Chester retired from the Civil Service in January 1987 and truly lived out his retirement. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and a charter member of the WW II Engagements, the National Republican Committee, and a member of the Jacksonville First Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at First Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville with Brother Royce Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park under the direction of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home and Crematory (501)982-2136. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to one of the following non-profit organizations; Arkansas Hospice of North Little Rock, The Pulaski County Humane Society of Little Rock, Pet Angels, Inc. of Jacksonville or Fishnet Missions of Jacksonville.
Ruby D. Culpepper
Ruby Doris Shirkey Culpepper, 80, of Little Rock, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Laney of Little Rock; a brother, Lee Shirkey of Lonoke; two sisters, Betty Lynn Abbott of Cabot, Dorothy Sims of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; two step granddaughters.
Graveside services by Ralph Robinson & Son were Jan. 18, in Center Grove cemetery, (Grant County).

Robert J. Goldsberry
Robert Joseph “Bob” Goldsberry, 80 of Jacksonville died Sunday.
In 1941, he began a 32 year career with the U.S. Army Air Force. He served in W.W. II, Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict, retiring as a senior master sergeant. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Goldsberry of the home; two daughters, Teri Jones of Ward, Deane Pieterick of Fairfield, Calif.; son, Robert Goldsberry of Sterling, Va.; sister, Peggy Simpson of Kokomo, Ind.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Jan. 19, at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Chapel with entombment at Chapel Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
