Mattie E. Carter, 95, of Stuttgart, died Nov. 10, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Carter of Stuttgart and George Carter of Florida; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Nov. 13, at Hamilton Baptist Church, with burial in Hamilton cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.

Marvetta “Carol” Purvis Timm, 53, of North Little Rock, died Nov. 5, 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Fratus and Kimberly Martin; four grandchildren; her mother, Willine B. Gault of Rockford, Ill.; and a brother, Marvin S. Purvis of Caladonia, Ill.
Funeral was Nov. 13 at Cabot Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Corning cemetery by Cabot Funeral Home.
Robert Henson
Robert Henson, 69, of the Baugh Chapel Community, formerly of Dardanelle, died Nov. 9, 2000.
He was a retired Church of Christ minister.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Henson of Baugh Chapel; three sons, Ron Henson of Jacksonville, Ray Henson of Baugh Chapel and Rex Henson of Austin; a daughter, Rita Henson of Baugh Chapel; three brothers, J.W. and Junior Henson, both of Cave Creek, and Albert Henson of Dardanelle; a sister, Vernell Sullivan of Harrison; 11 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral was Nov. 13 at Ben’s Branch Church of Christ, with burial in Ben’s Branch cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Home.
Eddie Caplener
Eddie Caplener, 88, a five-year resident of Zimmerman Nursing Home, died Nov. 9, 2000.
Graveside service was Nov. 13 at Lonoke cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
Ruth Thompson
Ruth Loarine Thompson, 69, of Garner, died Saturday, March 10, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, James Edward Thompson; two sons, Billy Thompson, of Beebe, and Bobby Thompson of Ratcliff, Ky.; two daughters, Betty Scissell and Nancy Thompson, both of Searcy; she raised three granddaughters, Nancy Trina Niswonger of Poughkeepsie, Tina Marie Reid of Cabot, April Smith of Griffithville; three brothers, Jimmy Norman of Marion, Bobby Norman of West Helena, David Norman of Dumas; two sisters, Elizabeth Carden of West Helena, Rose Shenep of Little Rock, Ark.; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Garden by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
William Wilson Jr.
William Wilson Jr., 70, of Ward died Saturday.
Survivors include brothers, Paul Wilson, Charles Wilson and Kenneth Wilson; sisters, Dorothy Rose, Wilma Narramore and Peggy Wilson.
Funeral, was Tuesday at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, Carter cemetery.
Brenda Carol Bunce
Brenda Carol Bunce, age 47, of Cabot passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and preceded in death by her father, Roger Fears.
She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, James Bunce, of the home; a son, James Bunce of Cabot; mother, Louise Fears of Corning; brother, Ronnie Fears, and his wife, Quanah, of Heber Springs; a sister, Linda Bentley, and her husband, Fred, of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Ryan Lee and Maegan Renae Bunce, both of Cabot; 10 nephews and eight nieces.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at the Cabot Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Old Austin cemetery. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Kitty Humphries
Kitty Wade Cleaver Humphries died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Chambers Nursing Home at Carlisle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Humphries.
She was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church and the Builders Sunday School Class.
Kitty and her husband owned the Woolworth’s store in Carlisle for a number of years. In later years she owned and operated a florist. She was retired from Gillespie Insurance Company. Kitty loved porcelain painting, and other crafts. She loved people, especially children.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Nonnie Cleaver, and a niece, Carolyn McCrory, both of Florida; and a special friend, Hallie Hazelwood of Carlisle.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Carlisle United Methodist Church, with burial in Carlisle cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
Opal Belle Sentell
Opal Belle Sentell, 91, of Austin died Feb. 26, 2002.
She was a Baptist, and a lifelong resident of Lonoke County.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Ray Sentell and Billy Joe Sentell, both of Austin; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Sixteenth Section cemetery.
Clara Mae Bowen
Clara Mae Larkan Bowen died Feb. 22, 2002.
Survivors include her husband, Bobbie F. Bowen; sons, Larry Schafer and Joseph Thomas Schafer, both of Lonoke; a daughter, Linda Allen of Sherwood; brothers, Clarence Larkan and Troy Larkan, both of Lonoke; a sister, Norel Jameson of Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Monday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke, with interment in Lonoke cemetery.
