Lottie Mae Chrisp
Lottie Mae Chrisp, 83, formerly of Lonoke, died March 4, 2004. She is survived by three daughters: Helen Ryan of Oppelo, Willie Lawson of Lonoke, and Ethel Chrisp of Perryille, two brothers, Leonard Spradlin of North Little Rock, Edward Spradlin of Russellville, two sisters, Melva Williams of Lonoke and Velma Roberts of Pine Bluff, 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Services were Saturday, Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke, with interment at Brownsville cemetery.
Virginia E. Matlock
Virginia E. Matlock, formerly of Arkansas, died March 5, 2004. She is survived by her children, Lester Matlock, Henry Matlock and Nellie Mowrer, all of Indiana, Roy Matlock of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Victor Matlock of Malvern, Arkansas, Charles Matlock of Arizonia, Margaret Taglavore of Texas, Louise Potter of New Mexico and Geneva Goodger of Michigan; 30 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Matlock and one grandchild. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hebron United Methodist Church, located 9 miles north of Carlisle on Hwy 13 and ¾ mile west on Hwy 236. Burial will follow in Hebron cemetery, arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
Agnes Marie Hunter
Agnes Marie Hunter, 88 of Little Rock died March 6, 2004.
She was a psychiatric nurse working at the Arkansas State Hospital until her retirement in 1981.
She is survived by two daughters, Paulette Howard of Jacksonville and Rickie Lockwood of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister Iris Blasingame of Cabot.
Funeral service was Tuesday, March 9, at Ward United Methodist Church, with burial in Stoney Point cemetery at Beebe.
Chester Wayne Gills
Chester Wayne Gills, age 52, of Little Rock died March 2, 2004.
He is survived by a brother, James Gills of Cabot; and a sister, Betty Boldowsky of Baltimore, Md.
A private family service was held March 14, with internment at Pine Crest cemetery.

Jimmy Sims Jr., 38, died March 1, 2004.

Mary Ellen Culpepper
Mary Ellen Culpepper, 42, of Mabelvale died March 4, 2004.
She is survived by her husband, Montie Lee Culpepper; parents, Carl and Betty Farler of Mabelvale; sister, Sandra Simmons of Lenexa, Kan.; brothers, Tom Farler and Doug Farler, both of Mabelvale, and Mike Farler of Cabot.
Funeral was held at Ashby Funeral Home Saturday, March 6, with burial at Pinecrest cemetery.
Ernest Stephens
Ernest Stephens, age 83, of North Little Rock died Thursday, March 4, 2004.
He was born in Lonoke. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church, the Crusaders Bible class, and the Methodist men, AARP local chapter 693.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; three sons, Gary, Philip and James “Rusty” Stephens; one brother, Eugene E. Stephens; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Monday, March 8, 2004, at Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church, North Little Rock. Interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Park, in Bryant. Roller-Owens Funeral Home was in charge.

Barbara Oliver
Barbara Oliver, 58, of Mesick, Mich., died March 1, 2004.
Survivors are her husband of 41 years, George; two sons, two daughters and five grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, including Judge Phillip Whiteaker of Cabot.
A memorial service was held at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church, Little Rock March 6. Arrangements by Huson Funeral Home, Little Rock.
Randy W. Sherrill
Randy W. Sherrill of Sherwood died March 1, 2004, at the age of 46.
He was a member of Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Deresa of 25 years; two daughters, Amber and Jennifer Sherrill both of Sherwood; his parents Elvis and Pat Sherrill; two brothers, Scott Sherrill of England, and Philip Sherrill of Sherwood.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Sylvan Hills Church of Christ, Hwy. 107 and Maryland Ave. Interment will follow at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock.
Norma Spence Dreher
Norma Spence Dreher, age 67, of Cabot, Arkansas, died at her home Saturday, February 07, 2004, after fighting a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Norma left this world as we know it to join the angels above and live with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Norma was born the daughter of Lowell D. and Addie (Cook) Spence on April 5, 1936, in Sylvania, Arkansas. She spent her life in Cabot. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Addie, and her precious son, Michael Neal Dreher.
Norma spent the majority of her adult life in law enforcement including Lonoke County Sheriff’s Department, Cabot Police Department, and finally Arkansas Adult Probation Department from which she retired January 1, 2000.
Norma is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Phil Lowry, grandchildren, Michael and Kelli Lowry, all of Cabot; and her very special foster son, Wen Grimes and wife Christy of Little Rock and their son, Brennen; a sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Earl Dollahite of Cabot; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Jean Spence of Alaska; two very special sisters, Ann Pummill of Cabot and Sharon Andrus of San Angelo, Texas; one niece and her husband, Donna and Michael Baty of Cabot; one nephew, Sheldon Spence of Alaska, and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation was 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2004, at Sylvania Presbyterian Church, Ward, and was presided over by Rev. Tommy Jordan and Rev. Milburn Hill. Billy Albrecht, Jerry Spence, Doug Sikes, Paul Verkler, Jerry Cook and Larry Cook served as pallbearers. Interment followed at the Sylvania Presbyterian Church cemetery.
Charity Grubb
Charity Grubb, 90, of Cabot, passed away February 5, 2004.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Juanita Barger of Cabot, Geraldine Disney of GA, Bessie Hall of MI; son, Carl Turner of Cabot; brother, Hurman Doolin of KY; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

L.C. Williams, 75, of Cabot passed away February 4, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 6 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Tommie, of the home; son, Milton Williams, Jr. of Cabot, daughter, Debbie Elliott of LR; brother, Joe Williams; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 6, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cabot Funeral Home.
