Wilma Nadine Jones
Wilma Nadine Jones, of Lonoke County, was born October 24, 1920, and died February 18, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Lee Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Lea (Eutaw) Horton of Maumelle; her son, Wayne Jones, of Ward; four granddaughters, Holly Rogers and Mendy Dixon of Morrilton; Emilee and Alisha Jones of Ward; and three great-granddaughters.

Wetoka A. Schmidt, 55, of the South Bend community, diedSunday, Feb. 22, 2004..
Schmidt’s survivors include her mother, Edna Deen; brothers, Charles and Edward; sisters, Vera Brewer, and Lynn Bullock of Naples, Fla., and Elaine McEntyre of Groveland, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service was Wednesday at the Bible Missionary Church, 3001 Military Road by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
Graveside service was at Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock.

Edna Mae Roberts, 83, formerly of Carlisle, died Feb. 18, 2004.
Survivors include her children, Earl H. Roberts of Mena, Wayne Roberts and Janet Lopez of Arizona, Charles Roberts of Benton, John Roberts of England and Elizabeth Kildoo of Texas; one sister, Jean Sajak of West Memphis; 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Graveside srvice was Feb. 21, 2004, at Hamilton cemetery, by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.

Patricia Smith, 51, of Jacksonville died Feb. 22, 2004.

Muriel Pool
Muriel Pool, 83, of North Little Rock died February 17, 2004.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Reba Lee Pool, her parents , 3 sisters and a brother. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Pool; daughter, Murielene Campbell; brother, Claudie Sowell; 2 grandchildren, Regena and husband Milburn Phipps and Jimmy Campbell; 2 great-grandchildren, Casey and Kimberly Phipps; several nieces and nephews.

Clifton Williams
Clifton “Shag” Williams, 80, of Carlisle died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004.
He was a retired Dairy Farm employee for the Bell family in Hickory Plains.
He is survived by his wife, Creamola Williams, of Carlisle; four sons, Herman Ford and Thornell Williams, of Carlisle, O.C. Williams of North Little Rock, and Gus Williams, of Jacksonville; seven daughters, Ezetta Harper, of Jacksonville, Dorothy Scruggs, of Des Arc, Justina Thomas and Maud Hood of Lonoke, Clarinda Settles, Relatha Jackson, and Barbara Williams Toms, of Carlisle; two brothers, Ervin Williams of Beebe, and Emmitt Williams of Hickory Plains.
Funeral service will be Saturday Feb. 28, 2004, 11 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Hickory Plains.
The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, from 7:15 until 8:15 p.m. at the funeral home. Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, Little Rock.
John D. Conley
John D. Conley, resident of Searcy, retired veteran and business owner, died Feb. 21, 2004.
He was 72 years of age.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Valley Baptist Church in Searcy. Interment with military honors was in White County Memorial Gardens.
He was retired from the United States Navy, serving in the Vietnam Era and the Korean Conflict. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1986 and served in the First Baptist Church in Melbourne and the First Baptist Church in Judsonia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Judsonia.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Landis Conley of the home; two sons, Richard Conley and Rory Conley, both of Searcy; three sisters, Helen Jones of Jamestown, Ky., Linda Simpson of Cabot, Gina Whitlow of Powhatten; four brothers, Jesse Conley and Lyle Conley both of Judsonia, Charles Max Conley of Memphis and Ronnie Conley of Black Rock; and two granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in memory of John Tyler Conley.
Powell Funeral Home of Searcy was in charge.
Elsie Huggs
Elsie Mae Todd Huggs, age 70, of Carlisle died Feb. 21, 2004.
She is survived by two sons, Rudy Huggs of North Little Rock and Wendell Huggs of Carlisle; one daughter, Shelia Renner of Carlisle; two brothers, Leonard and Jerry Todd, both of Carlisle; five sisters, Rosie Barnett of California, Evelyn Gales and Ruth Calvert of Carlisle, Anita Black of Lonoke and Mary Stokes of Little Rock.
Services were Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Carlisle with burial in the Oakland cemetery in DeValls Bluff. Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen was in charge.
Diane Davis Haas
Diane Davis Haas, age 57, died Friday.
Survivors include husband, Lloyd; daughters, Dora Tolleson and Nerissa Devin; sister, Mary Rowe; and a grandson.
Graveside services: Monday, Oaklawn cemetery, Brinkley. Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home, Brinkley were in charge.
Lucy Viola Crain
Lucy Viola Davis Crain, 87, Tillar, died Feb. 20, 2004.
She taught school in the Delta School District for 25 years, and was a member of the Hopedale Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Lavada Simpson, Rohwer, Sue Palsa, Carlisle; one brother, Seth Ernest Davis, Vancouver, Wash.; three sisters, Alta McCoy, Elkhart, Kan., Vera Bedwell, Koloa, Hawaii, and Fretta Cunningham, Plainview; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Service time and date to be set later, and will be held at Hopedale Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Hopedale cemetery.
