Jeannie Bradley
March 2, 1923 - May 29, 2013
Jeannie Bradley, age 90, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. She was born March 2, 1923 in Corinth, Mississippi to the late Ray and Lucille Deason. She was a faithful member of Marshall Road Baptist Church where she served as a child care teacher for 25 years. She was a Godly, loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Bradley, a daughter, Jean Bradley Singleton, and one son, Jack Bradley.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Bradley and his wife Debbie of Jacksonville, Jimmy Bradley and his wife Beverly of Cabot, Jack’s wife Joan Bradley of Gadsden, Alabama, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and the three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home with Bro. Cliff Hutchins and Bro. Toby Talley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Marshall Road Baptist Church 821 Marshall Road Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.
Willa Jordan
January 16, 1945 - May 27, 2013
Willa Jordan went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 27, 2013. She was born January 16, 1945 to the late Thomas and Effie Lee. She was preceded in death by her daughter Renae Jordan, husband Leroy, mother, Effie Lee, and father, Tommy Lee. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Jacksonville, and was a retired nurse from Maybelline L’Oreal.
She is survived by her loving son Phil Jordan, brothers, Wayne Lee and his wife Carolyn, Sammy Lee and his wife Karen, Tommy Lee of Pensacola, Florida, one Uncle Cecil “Jim” Jameson, a host of nieces and nephews, best friends, Shirley Romanelli, Mary Hamm, and Pat Prichett.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.

Bo G. Sparks
June 26, 1936 - June 8, 2013
Bo G. Sparks, age 76, of Jacksonville died peacefully on June 8, 2013. Born in Hot Springs, he was the son of the late Darice (Sparky) and Frances Jennings Sparks. Bo spent 32 years with Riverside Motors before he retired in 2003. He loved to negotiate and spent his career making lifelong customers and friends in automotive sales.
Bo graduated from Central High School in 1954 and attended college at LRU, now UALR. He was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church and served with the Air National Guard from 1954 to 1960.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Mary Jo Gerhart Sparks. He is survived by his son, Jeff Sparks and his wife Robin, and daughter Holly Wills and her husband Deri; grandchildren Abby, Judd, Meredith, Jennings, John Kolbe, and Blaise Sparks and Darby Wills; his sisters Carolyn Jones, Dorrine Rushing, and Sandra Smith (Doug); and a host of relatives and many, many friends.
Prior to the rosary service, friends are invited to the parish hall from 5 - 7p.m. for refreshments and celebration of Bo's life with stories, memories and laughter.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church. The interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Melba Louise Curry
January 19, 1936 - June 9, 2013
Melba Louise Curry, 77, of Jacksonville died Sunday, June 9, 2013. She was born January 19, 1936 in Dumas to the late Thomas E. and Clara Pearl Underwood Posey.Mrs. Curry was a devout Christian and had a strong belief in God. She worked for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service for over 20 years at many Air Force bases throughout the world. She was a great cook and loved to travel. In addition to her parents,Mrs. Curry was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Hendersen, Faye Naron and Patricia Huffman and two brothers, Ermil “Bud” Posey and Herston Posey.
Mrs. Curry is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Curry of Jacksonville; her children, Deborah and Phil Sperling of Lawton, Oklahoma, Michael and Deborah Curry of Kingsland, Belinda Decker and Wayne Burris of Little Rock, Raymond E. and Corrin Curry of the United Kingdom, and Richard and Melanie Curry of Hawaii; one sister, Shirley Rodgers and one brother, Cletis Posey, both of Monticello; 15 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces/nephews and extended family.
Memorial services will be Thursday, 13 June at 2pm at Marshall Road Baptist Church, 821 Marshall Road, Jacksonville, AR 72076 with Pastor Toby Talley officiating. Charles Donald Ballard
July 19, 1957 - June 10, 2013
Charles Donald “Donney” Ballard age 55, of Cabot passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013. He was born July 19, 1957 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Charles Donald Ballard and Carol Ballard. He was preceded in death by his sister Karen Ballard. He was co-owner of A&B; Foreign Car Repair in Cabot with his business partner Adam Adams. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna Ballard, his children; Michael Ryan Ballard and his wife Jennifer Renee Ballard, Charles Raymond Ballard and his wife Vanessa Renee Ballard, siblings; Mark Ballard and his wife Annie, Eric Ballard, Wanda Callahan and her husband David, mother and father-in-law Nadine and Roy Blazer, nieces and nephews, Danielle Hernandez, Robert and Kristen Callahan, Bryan, Deborah, and Shae Ballard and five great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.

Col. Clark W. Hastings, Sr.
October 22, 1931 - October 4, 2011
Col. Clark Waverly Hastings Sr. (U.S. Army, Retired) of Jacksonville was born Oct. 22, 1931 in Sikeston Mo. to the late Clark and Royce Hastings. He passed away on Oct. 4 at St. Vincent Infirmary after a brief illness. He graduated from Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina with a degree in political science.. He is also a graduate of the Infantry Officers’ Candidate School, Signal Officers’ Advance Course, Command and General Staff College, Air War College, and the Airborne School. Col. Hastings was a career military officer who with his family traveled extensively living in many different states and European countries during his military career spanning 1952-1983. Col. Hastings was inducted into the OCS Hall of Fame at Fort Benning, Georgia in 1981.
After retirement he served as a Jacksonville City Commissioner and was past president of the Jacksonville Sertoma Club. Col. Hastings was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer who enjoyed living life to the fullest extent possible..
Col. Hastings was preceded in death by his wife, Joline Tiner Hastings, two grandsons, Clark Hastings III and Matthew Hastings, and brother Ray Hastings. Survivors: sons, Clark W. (Buddy) Hastings Jr. and wife Carol; Steven K. Hastings and wife Robin, grandson Matthew Johnson (Jill); great grandson Mason Johnson; sister Dolores Mayabb, special friend Angela Vent, and his beloved dog Millie and grand-dog Joey. He will be lovingly remembered and the Chief will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Walter officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park with full military honors.
Richard L. Eckhart
Richard Lynn Eckhart of Heber Springs died Dec. 22, 2003.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, and was an attorney. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Heber Springs.
Survivors are sons, Edward Eckhart of Plano and Larry Eckhart of Little Rock; a daughter, Susan Eckhart of Cabot; and six grandchildren.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held Jan. 10 at First Presbyterian Church, Heber Springs.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Heber Springs.
Bobby E. Horn
Bobby E. Horn, age 74, of Austin, passed away September 9, 2003. He was born April 28, 1929 in Austin to the late Issac & Vernice Horn.
Survived by his loving wife Jean Horn of Austin; sons, Mike Horn of Cabot, Raymond and Debbie Horn of Austin; daughters, Sandra Chambers of Cabot, Jannice and Mike Ellis of Lonoke, and Michelle and Phillip Pulliam of Cabot; twelve grandchildren; five step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Services were Thursday, September 11, 2003 at Campground Union Church, #2211 Campground Road in Cabot with Bro. Milbourn Spence officiating. Pallbearers were Kenneth Reed, Kenneth Boyd, Harold Mundy, Wayne Rouse, Jeff Baker and Charles Pillow. Honorary pallbearer Ronald Smith. Interment followed at Old Austin cemetery.
