Willie John Smith, of Lonoke, died Aug. 2, 2003.
Survivors are his mother, Mildred Long Smith; six brothers, William Sells, Clarence, Carroll and Larry Smith of North Little Rock, Robert and Jimmie Smith; two sisters, Emma Cole and Evelyn Reynolds of Lonoke.
Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, Little Rock.
Garold J. Welshhons
Garold J. Welshhons, age 92, died Aug. 2, 2003.
He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Christensen of Waukesha, Wis., and Kay Ann Bolijack of Shalimar, Fla.; four sons, Glen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Gary of Jacksonville, Gene of Benton, and Charles of St. Joseph, Mo.; two sisters, Patty Lou Collins and Mildred Long, both of Iowa; and 20 grandchildren.
Graveside services were Tuesday at Lonoke cemetery, by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
Elzora R. Banaskey
Elzora Rosie Harris Banaskey, born Feb. 27, 1907, in Belmont, Miss. to Jesse and Ella Harris, passed away Aug. 2, 2003, at the age of 96 years, five months and six days.
She was one of 13 children, and was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Banaskey; her parents; four sisters and seven brothers.
She is survived by a sister, Velma Fricker of Little Rock; several nieces and nephews.
She was a sweet, gentle, kind and loving person. She had been a resident of Golden Years Manor in Lonoke since Dec. 20, 2000.
A gathering in remembrance of Mrs. Banaskey was held Aug. 4, 2003, at Boyd’s Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Carl L. Head
Carl L. Head, 55, of Ward died Wednesday, August 6, 2003 in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Mae Allen Head, an infant sister and a niece, Nikki Burke. He is survived by his wife, Diane of the home; his father, Joe B. Head of Cotton Plant; 1 son, Joseph Carl “Bubba” Head of Ward; 1 daughter, Ambra L. Head of Ward; 1 sister, Clare Hunt of Jonesboro; 4 brothers-in-law, Jerry Hunt and Dale, Charles and Joe Burke; 4 sisters-in-law, Elva Pirano, Joan Thomas, Marlynn Burke, Charlenn Mann; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Friday, August 8 at Cabot Funeral Home and funeral services were Saturday, August 9, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Cabot Funeral Home Chapel.

John W. Bush, 56, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bush of the home; two sons, Bill Bush of Williamstown, Ky., and John Bush of Clarksville, Tenn.; one daughter, Sunserae Simmons of Ward; two sisters, Michelle Powers of Covington, Ky., and Dena Orr of Crossville, Tenn.; one brother, Steve Graves of Indiana; eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 from 1-3 p.m. at the Cabot Funeral Home, with arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home .
Mary L. Flynn
Mary L. Flynn, 84, passed away Aug. 6, 2003.
She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Carlisle, a loving wife, a sweet and wonderful mom, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her children, Wayne Flynn, and his wife, Gail, of Tennessee, Dianne Hart, and her husband, Paul, Larry Flynn, and his wife, Eva, all of Carlisle, and Bobby Flynn and his wife, May, of Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Doug Hart, Vickie Paradis, David Flynn, Tammy Driver, Mark Flynn, Terri Godwin, William Flynn and Danny Flynn; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Peters of Michigan, Bertha Rodden of Carlisle and Virginia Corbett of West Helena.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horce and Ima Stegall; husband, William C. Flynn Jr.; sister, Etta Jones; and a brother, J.C. Stegall.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in Hebron cemetery. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.

Jeff G. Kuykendall II
Jeff G. Kuykendall II, 29, of Cabot died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Kuykendall of Cabot; his parents, Jeff and Debra Kuykendall of Hot Springs.
Funeral services were Aug. 9, in the chapel of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Carmel cemetery.
Sam N. Langdon
Sam N. Langdon, 82, of Jacksonville died, Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003.
He was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Furlow. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 9th Armor Division.
Survivors include his wife Helen “Smith” Langdon; children, Roy Marple of Beebe, Bill Langdon of Lonoke, Sammy Langdon of Cabot, Linda Cummings of El Paso, Geneva Raulston of Ward, Jeanette Quesinberry of Cabot and Kathy Perry of Cabot; brothers, Howard and Grady Langdon both of Mississippi; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Aug. 12, at the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Furlow followed by interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home was in charge.
Lucas Cain McGee
Lucas Cain McGee, age 21, of Benton died Aug. 8, 2003.
He was a member of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his mother and father, Kaye and Kevin Boatright of Lonoke, and Dennis Quattlebaum of Little Rock; two sisters, Erica Diane Odom of Benton and Susan Quattlebaum of Little Rock; his grandmothers, Nancy Stuckey of Benton, Carol McGee of Atlanta, Texas and Martha Quattlebaum of Benton; one grandfather, Donald Quattlebaum of Benton; and one great-grandmother, Fredia Stuckey of Haskell.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Military Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke was in charge of arrangements.
Arnold H. Milner
Arnold H. Milner, age 83, of Cabot, formerly of Texarkana, Texas, died Aug. 8, 2003.
He was a member of Williams Memorial Methodist Church in Texarkana, Texas, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a United States Air Force veteran and worked for Ragland Office Equipment and Supply Co. (later Firmins) until his retirement in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Clella Milner of Cabot; one daughter, Johanna Smith of Watauga, Texas; three stepdaughters, Sharlene Tullos of Cabot, Rhonda DeJarnatt of Van Buren and Aria Westerfield of Little Rock; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Aug. 12, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Texarkana Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mack Yancy Sr., age 76, of North Little Rock, died Aug. 4, 2003.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, JoAnn Yancy; daughters, Carrie Meadows, and Betty Roberts; sons, Gerald, Mack Jr., and Kenneth Yancy; sisters, Viola Hardin and Maple Edwards; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
