Marvin Page
Marvin Page, 61, of Kingsland, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003.
He was an Army veteran, member of Members Hunting Club and Supervisor at Windsor Door Co.
He is survived by three sons, Steve of Morrilton, Danny of Detroit and Kevin of Little Rock; two daughters, Vicky Page of Kingsland and Sherry Rice of Little Rock; four brothers, James of Little Rock, Newell of Woodson, Lloyd of Mayflower and Melvin of Cabot; three sisters, Betty Wood, Linda Johnson and Brenda Odom, all of Little Rock; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Chapel Conway with burial in Harmony cemetery.
Nellie Mae Price
Nellie Mae Price, 84, of Lonoke died Aug. 5, 2003.
She attended Christian Life Center, formerly known as South Highland United Pentecostal Church for more than 80 years. She was a resident at Golden Years Manor in Lonoke.
Survivors are a daughter, Nelda J. Stowe of Little Rock; Hilda Pennington of Lonoke; Garry Price of Kenai, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; 13-plus great-grandchildren.
Memorials should be made to the Christian Life Center Building Fund, 12923 W. Markham, Little Rock, Ark. 72211.
A Gathering in remembrance of her was held Aug. 9, in the Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Chapel, Little Rock. Interment was at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Jimmy Mullins
Jimmy Mullins, age 72, died July 28, 2003. He was a resident of Lincoln Plaza, Lonoke.
A former resident of Cabot, he was a fireman in Benton and at the State Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Mullins; two sons, Ronnie Mullins and Gary Mullins, both of Benton; one sister, Norma Jean Robins of Benton, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Aug. 1 at Ashby Funeral Home, Benton.
George Hedgecock
George Hedgecock, 74, of Little Rock died Sunday, July 27, 2003.
He was a member of the Rose Hill Church of the Nazarene. He was retired from Criss & Shaver Concrete Co. and was an Army Veteran who served in the 101st Airborne as a Paratrooper and jump instructor.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; two daughters, Judy Gibson of North Little Rock, Sandra Priest of Mabelvale; three sisters, Mary Bland and Martha Kierre, both of North Little Rock, and Betty Reader of Ward; two brothers, Mike Hedgecock of North Little Rock and Pat Hedgecock of Benton; one granddaughter, four grandsons, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to his church.
A gathering in remembrance of Hedgecock was held Wednesday, July 30, at Rose Hill Church of the Nazarene, with interment at Pinecrest cemetery.
Doris Snyder
Doris Snyder, 67, of Cabot died July 27, 2003.
She is survived by a sister, Betty Maddox of Cabot.
Services were Wednesday, July 30, at Victory Baptist Church in Cabot. Burial at Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois.
Mildred Rouse
Mildred Rouse, 86, died July 21, 2003.
Survivors include five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were July 26, at Hamilton Methodist Church. Burial at Hamilton cemetery.
Jean F. Burnett
Jean F. Burnett, age 77, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar A. Burnett; two sons, Eddie Howell of Baltimore, Md., and Terry Howell of Jacksonville; one stepdaughter, Geannie Frazier of Jacksonville; two sisters, Annie Simpson of West Memphis and Linda Hall of Vilonia; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral was Friday, July 25, at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, Beebe, with burial in Sylvania cemetery.
Marietta F. Melton
Marietta Fisher Melton, 90, of Mt. Zion, Ill., died July 25, 2003.
Funeral was Monday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan, Ill. Burial was in Myers cemetery, Herrick, Ill.
Memorials are suggested to the Highway Church of Christ, Sullivan, Ill.
She had worked for Western Electric and attended the Highway Church of Christ, Sullivan.
Surviving are her children, Arwood “Woody” Fisher of Little Rock; Lota Fisher of Sullivan, Ill.; Flo Harper of Decatur, Ill.; Troy Fisher of Aurora, Ill.; brother, Lawrence Vowan of Cabot; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
William M. Whalin Jr.
William Maston Whalin Jr., 83, of Jacksonville died July 25, 2003.
He retired as major after 21 years of service with the U.S. Air Force, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Flora Merle; sons, Charles E. Whalin and William M. Whalin; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was July 29 at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, followed by interment in Rest Hills Cemeter, North Little Rock. Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral was in charge.

Mary Irene Ives
Mary Irene Ives, 91, of Lonoke, formerly of North Little Rock, died July 23, 2003.
She was a nurse and retired from Baptist Hospital after 24 years of service. She was a member of Brockington Rd. First Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral was Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, with committal service at Carlisle cemetery.
