Thelma J. Williams
Thelma Jean Spears Williams, age 60, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Gene Williams; two daughters, Donna Gaydos of Skiatook, Ok., and Katie Jackson of Jacksonville; four grandchildren; five brothers, Jessie Spears, Fred Spears, O’Dell Spears, Bobby Spears all of Beebe and Marvin Spears of Cabot; two sisters, Sue Gifford of El Paso and Mable Bennett Ashcraft of Beebe; three step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 16 at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, Beebe with burial in Beebe cemetery.
Lillie Vowell
Lillie Lorena Vowell, 81, lifelong resident of Cabot, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002. She worked at Bancroft, was a homemaker and a member of the North Jacksonville Church of Christ.
Survivors are two sons, Donald Vowell and Robert Vowell; four daughters, Louise Hubbard, Patsy King, Idalene Dennier and Jacqueline Wilson; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grand-children and three great-great-grandchildren.
A gathering of remembrance was held Friday, Nov. 15, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Leroy Woods officiating. Interment followed at Chapel Hills Memorial Park cemetery in Jacksonville.
Irma Ruth Percefull
Irma Ruth Percefull, 92, of Little Rock, passed away Sunday, November 17,
2002.
Born on February 25, 1910, at Atkins, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Andrew Lee and Pearl Isabell (Gilbert) Matthews. She graduated from Conway High School in 1929, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carlisle.
preceded in death by her husband, Everett D. Percefull, four sisters, and two brothers, she is survived by two daughters, Jana Wilson of Little Rock, Ruth McBurney and her husband M. L. (Mac) of Austin, Texas; two sons, John Percefull and his wife Betty of Snellville, Georgia, and Robert Percefull and his wife Carol of Raleigh, North Carolina; a brother, Roy Matthews and his wife Eleanor of North Little Rock; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
A gathering in remembrance of Mrs. Percefull was at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 20, at First United Methodist Church in Carlisle, with Rev. Debbye Harrison and Rev. Wayne Shownes officiating. Interment followed at Carlisle cemetery.

Darius J. Mosby
Darius Jamel Mosby, 11, of Hazen died Nov. 14, 2002.
Survivors include his parents, Henry Coffey and Felicia Mosby of Hazen; brothers, Joshua Mosby and Carter Roland; a sister, Karla Roland; and grandparents, Bobby Mosby of Hazen and Ethel Jean Rogers of Weir, Miss.
Family hour will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Nov. 22 at Merredith Memorial C.O.G.I.C. in Hazen. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 23 at the National Guard Armory in Hazen, with burial in Hazen Green Grove cemetery by Premier Funeral Home of Little Rock.
Frankie Hughes
Frankie Hughes, age 59, of Beebe, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002.
He was retired from Wal-Mart, and was a member of Beebe First Church of the Nazarene and a veteran of the Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Hughes; two sons, Phillip and Joe Hughes of Beebe; two daughters, Becky Green of Cabot and Beth Dix of Beebe; his mother, Lucille Black of Beebe; one brother, Johnny Black of Beebe.
Funeral was Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at Beebe First Church of the Nazarene with burial in Stoney Point cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
Thomas Mills
Thomas "Buddy" Mills, 71, of Sheridan, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002.
He was a retired operating engineer and a member of Local 382 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
Survivors are his wife, Louise Mills; son Ricky Stone of Bryant; six sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Ralph Williams of Little Rock, May and Jerry Champlin, Dot and Ray Yielding all of Ward, Ann and Sherman Smith of Boca Raton, Fla., Judy and Tim Scully of Pickens, S.C., Bobbie and Kenneth Bohanon of Knoxville, Tenn.; and brother-in-law, Cary Clark of Sheridan.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Burial was in Bethel cemetery North.

Johnny Belcher
Johnny Belcher, 65, of Brinkley died Nov. 12, 2002.
He was a retired police officer and owner of Belcher Dirt and Gravel Co.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Warren Belcher; sons, David Belcher, Steve Belcher, Mike Belcher and Larry Joe Rawls, all of Brinkley; daughters, Tracy Johnson and Tamara Simmons, both of Carlisle; brothers, Harry Belcher Jr. of Oden, Charlie Belcher of Brinkley, Wendell Belcher of Little Rock and Robert Belcher of Gillette; sisters, Mildred Joshlin of Brinkley, Dorothy Powers of Brinkley, Linda Sue Parker of Little Rock, Ann Young of Little Rock, Joyce Ramsey of Brinkley and Judy Baker of Scott; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Nov. 15 at Brinkley Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Posey cemetery by Bob Neal and Son Funeral Home.

Melba Reynolds
Melba Reynolds, 80, of England died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002.
She was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, Weldon of England; a daughter, Hilda Lasiter of Little Rock; sons, Weldon and Hardy of England; sister, Clifton Grinstead of Cabot; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Nov. 18 at Mulberry cemetery, England, by Wilson Funeal Home.
Vincent F. Gillan
Vincent F. Gillan, 68, of Cabot died Nov. 16, 2002.
He was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Else; sons, Russell Gillan of Nevada and Terry Gillan of Ohio; daughters, Cindy Hauge of Oregon and Sue Brackeen of S. Dakota; sisters, Lucille Pinter, Bernice Snyder, Loraine Dittle and Shirley Kline, all of Illinois.
Funeral was Tuesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church, Jacksonville, with interment in Mt. Carmel cemetery, Cabot. Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home was in charge.
Mamie Hayley
Mamie Hayley, 89, of Foreman died Nov. 13, 2002.
She is survived by a sister, Ernestine Wickless of Foreman.
Graveside service was Nov. 15 at Sylvania cemetery, by Madden Funeral Home, Ashdown.
Buddy W. Haller
Buddy W. Haller, 66, of Sherwood died Nov. 15, 2002.
He was a retired adjuster for Shield of Shelter Ins. Co., managed a dry cleaners for 11 years at Sheridan, worked for Givens Co. in Sherwood, was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church and was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Haller; a son, Brian Haller of Beebe; a daughter, Jana Maston of Cabot; a brother, Donald Haller of Greenville, Miss.; a sister, Linda Green of Gravel Ridge; and two grandchildren.
Funeral was Nov. 18 at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, Beebe, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe.
