Toka Dean Kittler
Toka Dean Kittler, age 79, of Altheimer died Tuesday, June 3, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Kittler; two sons, Jim Sumner and Rick Sumner, both of Carlisle; one daughter, Sun Dean Freeby of Lonoke; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were June 6, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Carlisle. Interment was in the Carlisle cemetery with arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.
Ora Faye Oliver
Ora Faye Oliver, 93, of Little Rock, formerly of Mabelvale, died June 2, 2003.
She was a member of Maumelle First Baptist Church.
Survivors are a son, James L. Oliver of Mayflower; four daughters, Martha Gresham of Pasadena, Texas, Patsy Bradley of Xenia, Ohio, Linda Sykes of Cabot, and Wanda Garren of Rockwood, Tenn.; two sisters, Glennie Deaton and Edna Holloway; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were June 6, in the Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Chapel, Little Rock, with interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Alvin E. Walker Jr.
Alvin Edward “Eddie” Walker Jr., died May 31, 2003.
He is survived by his mother Dorothey Sanson of Cabot; his children Chelsea Walker, Aaron Walker and Mattheu Wooten of Little Rock; four brothers, Mike Walker of Hot Springs, Gary Walker of Clarendon, Terry Walker of Little Rock, and Brian Walker of Jacksonville; two sisters, Becky Gattis of Little Rock and Judy King of Alabama.
Funeral was Friday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Lonoke cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home Inc., of Lonoke.
David F. Porterfield
David F. Porterfield, age 54, of Malvern, died June 1, 2003.
He was owner and operator of David Porterfield Construction. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of C&W Hunting Club.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Betsy Porterfield of Malvern; two sons, Marty Porterfield of Hot Springs, and Andy Porterfield of Malvern; his mother, Eathel Porterfield of Malvern; two brothers, Arlis Porterfield of Cabot, and Ray Porterfield of Malvern; one sister, Bertha Kate Shinn of Malvern; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were June 4, in the chapel of Regency Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Opal Barron Smith
Opal Barron Smith, 83, of El Dorado, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003.
She was a member of Marrable Hill Baptist Church and had been an Avon representative for 36 years.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Smith of Forney, Texas, a daughter, Marty Gassaway of Cabot, six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were June 7, at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in El Dorado. Interment was in Canaan cemetery.
James M. Padgett
James M. Padgett, 68, of Cabot, died Thursday.
He is survived by his wife, June, of Cabot; son, James Berry Padgett of Orlando, Fla.; stepdaughter, Mechelle Harris of North Little Rock; two brothers, J.C Padgett of Denver, Colo., and Freddy Cheek of Ferndale; three sisters; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were June 9, at Rest Hills Memorial cemetery in North Little Rock. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Rev. Earl Maxwell
Rev. Earl Maxwell, age 85, of Clinton died June 5, 2003.
He was a retired Assembly of God minister of 63 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillie (Gardner) Maxwell; son, Jerrel Maxwell of Cabot; daughter, Ruth Hartwick of Mabelvale; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, May 7, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, with interment in Clinton cemetery by Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton.

Morris Neil Garrett, 61, of Cabot died Sunday, June 1, 2003.
He was a self-employed accountant.
Funeral services were Thursday at Huson Funeral Home Chapel, Sherwood, with interment following in Grizzard cemetery in El Paso.
Maxine M. Fortson
Maxine McManus Fortson, 70, of Lonoke, died June 9, 2003.
She is survived by her children, Rory McManus, Gayle Kidd and Dee Dee McManus Engle; five stepchildren; four granddaughters; and four great-granddaughters.
Funeral services were Thursday. Interment was in Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock.

Mary Ellen Towsley
Mary Ellen (Ivey) Towsley, age 68, of Jacksonville, died June 11, 2003. She was a member of TOPS 377 for 33 years and a member of New Horizon Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Ellen Petty of Russellville, Nancy Porter of Augusta, Dona Edman of Oregon; two sons, Kenny Towsley of Oklahoma and Joe Towsley of Missouri; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; trwo brothers, Billy Joe Ivey, Arnold Ivey; 10 sisters, Ruby Brandon, Dorothy Rychlowski, Betty Jean Heigle, Juanita Distefano, Carolyn Rischar, Peggy Rupp, Doris Sayles, Joanna Miller, Terry Ann Holland and Becky Nava.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, in the chapel of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 J. P. Wright Loop Road with Rev, Kevin Bernard officiating. Burial followed in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 13 at the funeral home.
Eugene H. Haase
Eugene H. Haase, 76, Austin, died Tuesday, June 10 in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lulu Haase, a sister and two half-brothers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Violet, of the home; son, Brian Haase of Kenosha, WI; two daughters, Rita Sides and husband Jim of Stuttgart AR, and Diane Perrone and husband Jerry of La Crescent, MN. Mr. Haase was a Navy veteran from WWII and the Korean War and a 56 year member of the American Legion. He was retired from Met Life Ins. Co. after 30 years. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Methodist Church Building Fund.
