Travis E. Owens

Travis Eugene “Buddy” Owens of Austin, died Saturday, May 17, 2003.
Buddy was a professional painter for over 40 years, working in and around central Arkansas for the last 25 years.

Surviving are his wife, Loveta (Hughes) Owens of Austin; three daughters, Deborah Arlene Taylor of Roscoe, Ill., Lois Vernice Gregory of Ward, and Carolyn Sue Payne of Cabot; four sons, Wendel Ray Owens of Newberry, Fla., Kenneth Eugene Owens of Rome, Ga., Timmy Dean Owens of Gainesville, Fla., and Brian Keith Owens of Austin; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Wednesday, May 21, at Westbrook Chapel with burial in Apple Hill cemetery, Ward.

Norman W. Chambers

Norman Wade Chambers, 44, of Lonoke, passed away Friday, March 21 In North Little Rock. He is preceded in death by one brother. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Chambers of the home; his mother and father, John and Benetha Chambers; three sons, Robin Wade, Christopher Wade, and Logan Wade Chambers; two daughters, Melissa Pownall and Wendy Bevins; two brothers, David and Johnnie Chambers; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; a special family friend, Jimmy Gass.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 25 at Cabot Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm. Friends visited at the funeral home on Monday. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.

James H. Cochran

James H. Cochran, 76, of Lonoke, passed away March 19, 2003 at his home in Lonoke. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lena Cochran; his wife, Janie Kincaid Cochran; two brothers and one sister. He is survived by one son, James Harold Cochran, Jr. and his wife, Marion; one daughter, Ann Shafer, six grandchildren, Brien, Kevin, and Aaron Shafer, Christie Harper, Heather Henderson and James Harold Cochran, III; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Dean Henderson and Chloe Star Parker.
Funeral services were Monday, March 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 2:00 pm. Friends visited at the Funeral Home on Sunday from. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Jackson

Elizabeth Jackson, age 90, of Pine Bluff, formerly of Jacksonville, died March 16, 2003.
Survivors include four daughters, Leona Branum of Granbury, Texas, Patty Appleby of Dumas, Fonda Lamont and Bonnie Yeggy, both of Pine Bluff; one son, Alfred Jackson of Pine Bluff; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 19, in the chapel of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, with burial in Flynn cemetery in Humnoke.

Thomas Jeff Jarvis

Thomas Jeff Jarvis, age 67, died March 18, 2003.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Kirchner of Little Rock; two sisters, Mildred Plant and Rose Smith of Carlisle; and two brothers, Dwight Jarvis of Carlisle and John Jarvis of Oklahoma; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services and interment were Saturday at Hamilton cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.

Clyde Hannah

Clyde Hannah, 82, of Little Rock died Tuesday, March 18, 2003.
He was a retired Baptist minister, a Bible Scholar, and a teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Norman Hannah; two daughters, Barbara Buchanan of Conway, and Donna Haynes of Little Rock; three sons, Maynard Hannah of Little Rock, Bill Hannah of Little Rock, and Pete Hannah of Cabot; one sister, Bethel Milks of Ward; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Friday, March 21, at Pinecrest cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice. Arrangements by Regency Funeral Home of Malvern.

Lilla May Leflay

Lilla May Leflay, 64, of Austin, died March 19, 2003.
Funeral services were March 22, at Cabot Funeral Chapel.

Mayme Lois Raborn

Mayme Lois Tanner Raborn, 88, of Carlisle died Thursday, March 20, 2003.
She was a member of the Carlisle First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Melvin Raborn and Jerry Raborn, both of Carlisle; one daughter, Charlotte Brown of Russellville; one brother, Ralph Tanner of Ocean Side, Calif.; two sisters, Jessie Morris of Little Rock and Kathryn Smith of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 22, at the First United Methodist church in Carlisle with interment, in the Old Carlisle cemetery. Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen was in charge.

William Thomas

William Thomas, age 84, of Carlisle, died March 19, 2003.
Arrangements were by Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock.

Charles M. Parker

Charles M. Parker, 74, died March 20, 2003.
Survivors wife, Lorene Parker; son, Robin Parker of Tull; six stepchildren; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margie Kammen of California.
Graveside services were Saturday at Weedon cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.

William Thomas

William Thomas, 84, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Renota Pearson of Carlisle, and Renee Robinson of Little Rock; three grandsons; and six step grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 25 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church on Hwy. 70 in Carlisle. Interment was in Arkansas State Veterans cemetery in North Little Rock. Arrangements by Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home.

Michael Lashon Davis

Michael Lashon Davis, 29, Lonoke, died March 20, 2003.
He is survived by father, Elvin Bryant Jr.; mother, Carolyn, and stepfather Jack Coleman; three sisters, Jasmine Davis, Laguanda Tatum, Denisha Smith; grandfather, Clifton Davis; grandmother, Lucille Davis.
Funeral was Saturday at St. John Baptist Church in Lonoke with Robinson Mortuary, North Little Rock, in charge.

Wade Hampton Knox

Wade Hampton Knox, 23, passed away March 20, 2003.
He was a member of Lonoke Baptist Church, and an employee of Knox Realty.
Survivors include his wife, Lesa Marie Knox, and stepsons, Ryan McGuire and Cody Varnell, all of Lonoke; his parents, Charles and Karen Knox of Lonoke; a sister, Andrea Walling and husband Chad, of Salem; his brother, Brook Knox and wife Michelle, of Lonoke; grandmother, Oza Bell Knox, of Lonoke; and grandparents, Betty and Denver White, of Hazen.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Billy Knox and Roy Minton.
Services were Sunday at Lonoke Baptist Church, with interment in Lonoke cemetery, by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association for Research, 212 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, Ark. 72205.

Jean McDaniel

Jean McDaniel, 74, of Beebe, Ark., died Thursday, March 20, 2003.
She was a retired secretary.
Surviving are two sons, Greg McDaniel of Magnolia and Terry McDaniel of Snow Mass Village, Colo.; one brother, Bill Black, and one sister, Jewell Reynolds, both of Beebe; three granddaughters.
Graveside service was March 25, with burial in Lebanon cemetery, McRae.
