Georgia Corine Goodin
Georgia Corine Goodin, 74, of Jonesboro passed away at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
She was born in Trumann and had lived in Lake City for the past 23 years before moving to Jonesboro five months ago. She was a restaurant manager for Payneway Cafe for several years, retired from the Singer Company and was a caregiver. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Brookland.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers; one sister and her parents George Washington and Cora Blanche Upton Ford.
She is survived by two daughters, Rachel Wiley of Jonesboro and Linda Goodin Fraley of Friendswood, Tex.; three sons, Donald Goodin of Friendswood, Tex., George Goodin of Harrisburg and Hearlin Goodin of Jonesboro; two sisters, Edna Ford Hauptman of Stikeny, Ill. and Dorothy Ford of Marked Tree; five grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland with Lance Guest and Victor Eskew officiating. Burial followed at Pine Log Cemetery.

Harland Davis
Harland Duane Davis, 65, of Trumann died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Juanita Saunders
Juanita Saunders, 67, of Trumann died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Born at Marked Tree, she had lived in the Trumann and Lepanto areas most of her life and was a retired teacher's aide, having worked at Lepanto and Tyronza schools for more than 22 years.
She was a member of McCormick Baptist Church near Trumann.
Survivors include her husband, Robert O. Saunders Jr. of the home; a daughter, Glenita Ann Baker of Marion; a son, Robert H. Saunders of Jonesboro; a sister, Joyce Privett of Harrisburg; two brothers, C.A. Jones of Trumann and Larry Jones of Searcy; and three grandchildren, Tyler Baker, Matthew Baker and Deidre Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Edith Kirby Jones.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at McCormick Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Frazier officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
Active pallbearers included Rusty Jones, Jeff Jones, Jim Jones, Gary Beard, Mark Beard and Paul Savage.
Honorary pallbearers included Greg Jones, Michael Jones, Charles Saunders, Eric Saunders, Sean Saunders and Charlie Stark.

Winford Joe "Dude" Wilcockson
Winford Joe "Dude" Wilcockson, 87, of Trumann died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 at his residence.
Born at Lorado, he lived in Trumann for the past 67 years. He was a retired supervisor for the Singer Co. in Trumann, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and of the Methodist belief.
Survivors include two sons, Winford D. Wilcockson of Mountain Home and Bobby L. Wilcockson of San Antonio, Fla.; one sister, Willodene Perry of Lorado; one brother, Billy Joe Wilcockson of St. Louis; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marquirett Willbanks Wilcockson; his parents, Samuel Anderson and Emma Cleveland Wilcockson; and one brother.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, at Thompson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Bufford officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne Hinds, Benny Mitchell, Vance Null, Randy Penter, Michael Wilcockson and Tyler Wilcockson.

William W. "Bill" Gregory Sr.
William W. "Bill" Gregory Sr., 76, of Trumann died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Born in Memphis, he was retired from the Air Force and was an ordained minister.
Survivors include his wife, Katie L. Gregory; a son, William W. Gregory Jr. of Franklin, Tenn.; one stepson, Larry Rodgers of Trumann; one sister, Elizabeth Ann Embery of Sheridan, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17 at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Jerry Jolly officiating. Burial followed at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18 in Forest Hill Cemetery at Memphis.
Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 2405 Stadium Blvd., Jonesboro 72403.

Milval Johnston
Milval Johnston, 91, of Trumann died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2004 at Trumann Health and Rehab Center.
Born at Cardwell, Mo., she had lived in Trumann since 1940. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Trumann.
Survivors include two sons, Sidney Johnston of Dallas and Woodrow Wilson of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Lee Johnston; her parents, Sidney Les and Cleva Ester Williams Johnson; and one brother.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1301 Arkansas 69 West, Trumann 72472.

Willie Palmer Montville
Willie Palmer Montville died Sept. 12, 2004 at her home in Detroit.
She was born in Baldwyn, Miss. and attended School in Bay. She resided in Trumann until 1953. She was a retired cosmetologist.
Survivors include one son, Danny Pemington; one sister: Mauvolene Taylor of Trumann; two brothers: Ben Scott of Bay and Paul Scott of Hickory Valley, Tenn.; and one granddaughter, Lauren Pemington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Montville; one brother, Ralph Palmer of Bay; her father, Howard Palmer; her mother, Anna Lou Scott and her stepfather, Bonnard Scott of Jonesboro.

Raymond Alvie Williams
Raymond Alvie William, 92, of Trumann passed away on Sept. 25, 2004 at the Trumann Health and Rehab center in Trumann of natural causes.
Mr. Williams was born in Marked Tree and had lived most of his time in Trumann. He was a retired farmer, veteran of the US Army and World War II, where he received a purple heart. He was of the Church of God belief.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Elizabeth Short Williams; one daughter, Rebecca Williams; two brothers; two sisters and his parents, Edward and Roxie Holder Williams.
He is survived by 11 daughters, Alma Wilson of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Mary Ann Mitchell of Cold, Betty Hogan of Wamego, Ks., Lois Collete of Oklahoma, Ok., Bonnie S. Tesch of West Moreland, Ks., Louise Raymon of Bald Knob, Lucille Moreland of Trumann, Kay Presley of Jonesboro, June Huckabay of Trumann, Doris Exum of Pleasant Grove and Marilyn Keiffer of McCormick; four sons, Franklin Williams of Forrest City, Raymond E. Williams, James A. Williams and Jerry L. Williams all of Trumann; 55 grandchildren; 155 great-grandchildren and 70 great-great-grandchildren.
He was laid to rest in Nichols Cemetery near Lepanto. His grandsons served as pallbearers.

Cleatis Wayne McCain
Cleatis Wayne McCain, 64, of Malden, Mo. died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004 at his residence.
Born in Trumann, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a truck driver, and a member of the Jehovah's Witness.
He is survived by his wife, Versie McCain; three sons and daughter-in-laws, Gregory and Peggy McCain of Mt. Vernon, IL, Mark Stewart Brindley of Las Vegas, NV, Leatis McCain, Jr.; four daughters and son-in-laws, Terri and Lloyd Inzer of Trumann, Katherine Lisa and Lloyd Caldaz of New Orleans, LA, Angelia Marie Brindley of Oakland, CA, Sonia and Allen Ellis of Brookland; one brother, James McCain of Little Rock; one sister, Carolyn Mitchusson of Macon, GA; 16 Grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 10 at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Bother Allan Laszewski officiating.
