DARDANELLE - Rex Lamont Callan, 81, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Brearley Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Jeannette E. Metherell
Jeannette E. Metherell, 82, of Russellville, formerly of Dover, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at Stella Manor Nursing Home.
The daughter of Frank E. Turner and Hazel F. Lemerond, she was born
Jan. 19, 1928, in Green Bay, Wisc. She was a loving wife and mother. Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Albert U. Farris, and second husband, Raymond L. Metherell; and three brothers, Bob, Don and Cal Turner.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda McClure of California, Kathryn Waterman and husband, Phil, of Arkansas, Joan Berryhill and husband, John, of Indiana, and Nancy Hunt and husband, Tom, of Oregon; two granddaughters, Lisa McClure and Malissa Machynia of California; three grandsons, Duane and Brian Myers of Arkansas, and Jason Jones of Oregon; one brother, Jackie Hanson and wife, Thelma, of Idaho; two sisters, Violet and Shirley; and a special friend, Mary Lou Freeman of Arkansas.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

CLARKSVILLE - Ellen Lorene Daniel Johnson, 85, of Lamar died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Lamar.
She was born
Nov. 24, 1924, and was an Avon representative and raised cattle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dayton Johnson; her parents, Seldon Daniel and Ada Reynolds Daniel; and sisters, Helen Colvin and Ruth Cowell.
Survivors include two sons, S.D. Colvin and Charles Colvin of Lamar; a daughter, Teressa Shaw of Lamar; a brother, James Daniel of Lamar; three sisters, Louise Miller of Clarksville, Anna Bruce of Bloomfield, Mo., and Mary Causey of Sikeston, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Holman Free Will Baptist Church at Lamar with the Rev. Geno Johnston and the Rev. Herbert Tilley officiating. Burial will be in Holman Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral home.

Geraldine Moran
Geraldine Elouise Moran, 86, of Little Rock died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010.
She was born
July 16, 1923, in El Paso, Ark., to Harvey B. and Elizabeth Lindsey Smith.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, W.E. “Buddy” and Elaine Moran of Cabot, three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Tom Plunkett of Dardanelle, Janie and Raymond McGhee of Bryant, and Willa and Jerry Pinkerton of Little Rock; three sisters; four sisters-in-law; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Oak Grove Cemetery
in Austin.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.
Jessie Brown
Jessie Brown, age 89, of Russellville, the widow of Joe E. Brown, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home.
A daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Ethel Arnold Drown, she was born
Oct. 4, 1920, at Crossroads, Ark. (Izard County). She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was also preceded in death by a son, Duane Brown.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sherry Brown of Pottsville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joyce May of Little Rock, and Gloria and Wayne Phillips of Russellville; three grandchildren, Terra Smith, Mark Brown and Ginger Brown; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Steve Mosley. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park by Shinn Funeral Service.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

James Marshall
DARDANELLE - James Allen Marshall, age 66, of Dardanelle died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville.
He was born
March 22, 1943, at Cotton Town to Dock Allen and Callie May Spence Marshall. He was a Army veteran and a mechanic for John Deere for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlene Gamble.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Marshall of Dardanelle, and Jason Marshall and wife, Sherrie, of Lamar; a daughter and son-in-law, Sonya Foster and husband, James, of Russellville; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Brother Tom McElmurry officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Arrangements By Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Elizabeth Bodesia Kinslow
Elizabeth Bodesia Kinslow, 75, of Greenwood went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at her home.
She was a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church, teacher of the Praise Sunday School Class, member of the Harris-Hannah Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6527 Ladies Auxiliary, and was Greenwood Citizen of the Year in 2003. She is preceded in death by her son, Fred Kinslow Jr.; one sister, Connie Kuhn; and her parents, Jarrett and Georgia Milam.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Gilliam Cemetery
under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
The family will visit friends from 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred Kinslow; two daughters, Debra Kinslow of Greenwood and Elizabeth Scharbor and her husband, Tommy, of Greenwood; one son, Doug Kinslow and wife, Pam, of Greenwood; one daughter-in-law, Gabriela Kinslow of Fort Smith; two brothers, Damon Milam of Fort Smith and John Milam of Greenwood; five sisters, Merle Varner of Dayton, Bonnie Yates of Fort Smith, Ann Wilson of Greenwood, Doris Hearron of Midland and Cindy Tuttle of Greenwood; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Larry Blair
Larry L. Blair, 73, a resident of Russellville, formerly of Luckey, Ohio, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He was born
May 10, 1936, at Luckey, Ohio, to Vernon and Verla VanCamp Blair. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served with the 508th Airborne Regimental Combat Team out of Fort Campbell, Ky., and worked for Brush Wellman Inc. in Elmore, Ohio, for more than 40 years, retiring to Russellville with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 6 2009, E. Jane “Jan” Blair, whom he married
on Dec. 30, 1958, and would have been married
51 years this year. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Lorry Linn of Russellville; a grandson, Cody Linn of Russellville; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Blair will be interred, along with his wife, in the Troy Township Cemetery
in Luckey, Ohio. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
