on January 21, 1925 in Santa Barbara, CA, to George and Beatrice Barr Thompson. She was a retired Quality Control Technician and a member of Nichiren Shoshu Daibezan Myogyoji Temple, West Chicago, Illinois. Kate is survived by 2 Sons, David (& Cheryl) Moody, Russellville, Arkansas; Fletcher Moody; 1 Grandson, Devin Moody, Russellville, Arkansas; 2 Aunts, Myra Haines, Baxter Springs, Kansas; Pearl Garrett, Baxter Springs, Kansas; and a Cousin James Barr, of California.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Humphrey Funeral Service. Services will be held at a later date.
Gerry Murdock, a resident of Russellville, AR, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at her home. She was born
at Havana, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Henry and Ruth Chappell. Mrs. Murdock was a retired Clerk from Arkansas Nuclear One and was a member of First Baptist Church of Russellville. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Veta is survived by a Daughter, Kristine (& Roger) Maly, Las Vegas, Nevada; Grandson, Brett K. on May 26, 1921 in Russellville, AR, to Allan and Celia (Brumley) Pyburn. He was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Allan Pyburn; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a United States Army Veteran of WW II. Clarence was an avid reader, enjoyed all sports especially baseball and truly enjoyed family get-togethers. She was preceded in death by by two husbands, Walter J. Calvert and Virl Pittman Sisco; two brothers, Herman and Dwight Hair; and three sisters, Joyce Schnerre, Lucille Hair, and Bessie Ruth Hair. Joseph D. Cook, age 56, a resident of Dover, AR, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at. He was born
on June 22, 1946 in Hector, to Joe and Arvena Crouch Cook. He married
Cook Donna S. Lessig on June 14, 1997 at Appleton, Arkansas. He worked for over 20 years as a press operator with Ladish. He was a United States Army Veteran of VietNam Era. He was a member of National Rifle Association and a member of Second Baptist Church where he attended Larry Morell's Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by a wife, Patsy Linton Cook and three grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Donna S. Cook of Hector, AR; two sons, Joe Don Cook of Appleton, AR and Daniel Cook of Appleton, AR; a daughter, Jolene Coley of Russellville, AR; three step daughters, Sandy Brooks of White Hall, AR, Ladona Fay of Appleton, AR and Rebecca Molloy of Appleton, AR; Two brothers, Mack Cook of Hector, AR and Kenneth Cook of Jerusalem, AR; One sister, Wanda Gray of Atkins, AR; two step daughters, Dawn Rudder of Clarksville, AR and Tara Whitley of Dover, AR; three grandsons; five step Grandchildren and one step great-granddaughter.
