James Felkins
CLARKSVILLE - James Wilson “Dub” Felkins, 76, of Hagarville died icon Monday, April 28, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was born icon Nov. 21, 1931, and was a heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl Staton and Lena King Felkins; and wife, Ruth Willine Rogers Felkins.
Survivors include a son, Randy Felkins and wife, Donna, of Hagarville; daughter, Phyllis Bedore and husband, Ray, of Marquette, Mich.; brothers, Vester “Nap” Felkins, and Bill Felkins and wife, Alice, of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Tanya and James Bedore, Ivy “Eugene” Wilkinson, and Randy Felkins; two step-grandchildren, Shanna and Billy Jean Stout; three great-grandchildren, Isaac and Robert Lee Felkins, and Roselynn Wilkinson; and a step-great-grandchild, Jadelynn Stout.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Stillwell Cemetery icon with the Rev. Max King officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers include Dean Dlugosh, Dewayne Dlugosh, Lance Dlugosh, Ed White, Quinton Hughes and Randy Dub Felkins.

Ruth Brewer
Ruth Brewer, 89, of Russellville died icon Monday, April 28, 2008, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Morrilton.
The daughter of Claud and Audra Patton Reynolds, she was born icon Dec. 3, 1918, in Dover. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Gerald Brewer; her parents; three sisters, Mozelle Boland, Betty Johnston and Annalee Reynolds; and a brother, John Edward Reynolds.
She is survived by her daughter, Audra Hunter of Cypress, Calif.; son, Jerry Brewer of Dragoon, Ariz.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Liz Brewer of Tucson, Ariz.; beloved sister, Judy Hottinger of Russellville and a sister, Twyla Bench of Dover; special cousin, Otto Ingram and wife, Judy, of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Humphrey Chapel. The Rev. Blake Bradford will officiate. Burial will be at McFadden Cemetery icon at Dover under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sharon McMillon
CLARKSVILLE - Sharon Ann McMillon, 55, of Clarksville died icon Monday, April 28, 2008, in Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was born icon Nov. 1, 1952, at Clarksville, widow of David McMillon, graduate of Clarksville High School and a member of First Assembly of God Church. She was an employee of Johnson Regional Medical Center as an EMT for 13 years and as home health clerical support for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Brinegar; son, Gary Robinson; paternal grandparents, Oliver and Jewell Taylor; maternal grandparents, Riley and Lilly Carter; and brother, Vernon W. Taylor.
Survivors include her father, Vernon D. Taylor of Clifton, Colo.; brother, Ricky Brinegar of Gorman, Texas; sisters, Brenda K. Robinson of Clarksville and Carla S. Bridges of Venus, Texas; stepfather, Rod Brinegar of Gorman, Texas; grandchild, Savanna Robinson of Lamar; uncles, Pat Taylor and Wayne Carter of Clarksville; aunt, Helen Burch of Clarksville; and niece and nephew, LaDonna Hamilton of Clarksville and William Martin of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Terry Cameron officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery icon under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Dot Couch
DARDANELLE - Margaret “Dot” Couch, 83, of Dardanelle died icon Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at River Valley Medical Center.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Cornwell Chapel. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8 tonight.

Annie Robinson
ATKINS - Annie M. Creel Robinson, 38, of Dover died icon Saturday, March 29, 2008, at her home after a one and a half year battle with cancer.
She was born icon Feb. 28, 1970, in Killeen, Texas, daughter of Johnnie D. and Angie Villarreal Creel. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie D. Creel. She was a teacher at Mi-Child Enrichment Center, a member of Dover First Baptist Church and was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.
She is survived by two sons, Jordan Matthew Segovia and Jeremy Donald Robinson; one daughter, Jessyca Marie Reaves, all of Dover; her mother and stepfather, Angie and Richard Young of Dover; four brothers, Johnnie Dale Creel, Jr. of Florida, James E. Creel of California, Jamie L. Creel of Missouri and Michael D. Creel of Dover; and several aunts, uncles and cousins from California and Corpus Christi, Texas.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Dover First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Paxton officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery icon by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers are Danny Minks, Chuck Smith, Danny Utley, Toby Dover, Johnnie Dale Ragsdale and Johnnie Ragsdale.
Honorary pallbearers are Richard Young Jr. and Ray Dotson.
Visitation will be 6-8 tonight.

Cotton Frost
DARDANELLE - Lemoin “Cotton” Frost, 70, of Dardanelle died icon Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Chambers Memorial Hospital at Danville.
He was born icon Sept. 28, 1937, at Mount George to Jess and Annie Frost. He was a member of Ola Free Will Baptist Church and was a Mason. He was a very special person, friend, a wonderful dad and poppy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Annie Frost; a brother, Walter Frost; and a grandchild, baby Martin.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Bailey of MacClenny, Fla., Tina and Rusty Martin Sr. of Lake City, Fla., and Debra and Adrian Velasquez of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepson and spouse, Donald and Michelle Royal of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Virginia Frost of Centerville; four sisters, Luna Burnett of Dardanelle and Ruby Benefield of Ola; 14 grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
Funeral was Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Mount George Church of Christ with the Rev. Bobby Wells officiating. Burial was in Mount George Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.

Stephen Jackson
ATKINS - James Stephen Jackson, 27, of Atkins, loving father, husband, and son departed this earth Sunday, March 30, 2008.
He was born icon Feb. 25, 1981, at Newport News, Va., and was preceded in death by a brother, Michael E. Jackson.
He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Dawn Jackson; two sons, Stephen Isaiah Jackson and Ethan Alexander Jackson; and daughter, Hannah Dawn Michelle Jackson, all of Atkins; mother and stepfather, Jacquelyn and Jim Myers of Greenbrier; father and stepmother, John P. and Bethna Jackson of Newport News, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Robert P. and Shelly Jackson of Dardanelle; and a brother-in-law, Derek Blevins of Pottsville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Lemley Funeral Chapel with Haskell Eavenson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery icon by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers are Derek Blevins, Gary Gore, Chandler York, Jeremy Anderson, Corey Edwards and Joey South.
Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday.

Phyllis Hawk-Suter
Phyllis Hawk-Suter, 64, of Russellville, died icon Monday, March 31, 2008, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Fudge officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Betty George
DANVILLE - Betty Sue Cowger George, 80, of Danville died icon Monday, March 31, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born July 18, 1927, and raised in Danville, Betty Sue graduated from Danville High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Throughout the years, she touched the lives of multiple generations as a music, speech and English teacher at Garland Elementary School in Little Rock, Fourche Valley School, Belleville Elementary and High School and Danville High School.
Betty Sue was a member of Danville United Methodist Church, where she served for many years as a pianist and member of the choir. Her musical talents were often requested for weddings, funerals, graduations and other community events. She has also been an active member of the Yell County Cancer Board, the University of Central Arkansas Alumni Board, the Family Council at Mitchell’s Nursing Home, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, the Danville Music Club and the Yell County Library Board.
In addition to her musical accomplishments, Betty Sue will be remembered for her devotion to her children, her strong will and independence, her cleaver sense of humor and her beautiful smile and blue eyes.
Betty Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Cowger of Danville and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.I. Cowger of Danville and Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Stewart of Plainview.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses: daughters, Betty George Woody and Dennis Woody of Danville and Bonny George Dennis and Dave Dennis of Conway, and her sons, Nathan V. George and Jan Dixon George of Dardanelle and Jasper L. George and Arlene Tucker George of Birta. Betty Sue was “Nanny” to her nine beloved grandchildren, Georgia Meredith and her husband, Kurt, of Conway, Cody Alford of Henderson, Nev., Jon-Nathan George of Russellville, Jason George of Dardanelle, Janae George of Conway, Jay George and his wife, Jana, of Ramstein, Germany, Jasmine McBride and her husband, Justin, of Clarksville, Tenn., Jordan George of Greenwood, and Travis Talley and his wife, Donya, of Manheim, Germany. Betty Sue had three great-grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the impending birth of two more.
Funeral services for Betty Sue Cowger George will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at Danville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mount George Cemetery icon immediately following the service.
Pallbearers will be Martha Lynn Burks, Polly Goodwin, Bartley Bell, Wendell Frame, Don Frame, Jerry Payne and Buddy Wright.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 p.m. today in the Cornwell Funeral Home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Betty Sue Cowger George Music Scholarship, University of Central Arkansas Foundation, 201 Donaghey Ave., UCA Box 4986, Conway, AR 72035.
